I was trying for Netflix free trail and followed the link from donotpay.com. I haven’t received any email to verify the account. However, next morning I have seen on my bank account, I was charged £26.14.
I have no idea why they charge me. I have send an email to them asking for refund. I am not sure how they will response to my email. Until I get refund, I cannot give them more than a ⭐️

I wish I had something positive to write but this service is a joke. Signed up specifically to use the burner phone feature in setting up a Venmo account. I wanted to use the burner# instead of my own# for the verification
Their website goes into step-by-step detail on how to accomplish this. Unfortunately, Venmo rejected all of the burner numbers.
I reached out to C/S and they promptly responded saying they would issue a refund "not being able to use the service as intended"
Ok. Fair enough.
Several emails went back and forth whereby they had trouble finding the transaction. I gave them my name and email (the email I gave was wrong. oops). And yet they couldn't find it.
It wasn't until i gave them the last 4 digits of card, expiratation date and transaction that they finally found. Whoo!
The real kicker is not only did they refund my money, which was good, they cancelled my account. Not so good.
They seem to offer a lot of services according to their website but now i won't know nor do i care at this point. Not to smart from a customer relations perspective

Then you should delete this webpage

"How To Work Around Venmo’s Verify Phone Step at the Signup
As a mobile payment service, Venmo requires that you connect a phone number to your account to verify it. If you already have an account but want to create more, you probably don’t have any extra numbers to spare.
Don’t worry, because DoNotPay can step in and provide you with a fake phone number to sign up for Venmo. You won’t have to buy an expensive burner phone or use someone else’s number to create a Venmo account. Our app keeps it simple and lets you sign up for any service that requires phone number verification. We can even help with the ones that ask for credit card details. "
Because this is what i was trying to do AND DOES NOT WORK

I signed up in error (I do not plan on using the services) and customer service has not responded to my request to cancel the $36 charge that was placed on my card. This is a scam.

Absolute scam! They say they will send disputes on your behalf but they DON'T. They give you a template email to do all the work on your own. Asking if they have heard back on a dispute or the status of a dispute = NO response. Print out the first sample then quit the service because it offers NO value-add past the sample. They don't follow up with the companies you have dispute with and don't respond at all to inquiries. Again, they do NOTHING except give you a template email for ~$40/year?

Have anyone ever gotten a refund back from cash app after using donotpay chargeback service ?

I like the service so far, yet I contacted customer service through email to explain that their free trial card isn’t working for me. I’ll update the review once the issue has been resolved.

I signed up on DoNotPay.com because I saw an Ad saying that the website will help me reduce the cost of parking tickets or dismiss them completely. This was not the case. The ads did not mention that there had to be a legitimate problem with the parking ticket for me to see any results. They "handle" problems that you can probably do yourself. Horrible app and a waste of money.

Great app and platform helps with all the annoying online tasks you don’t wanna do! I would 10/10 recommend especially if you are looking for an alternative to legal zoom. My only problem with the platform is with the app it’s not very user friendly. Great app to also stop robo callers/scammers!
My son who is in college was scammed by this company. I helped him complete an application on DO NOT PAY so he could apply for unemployment when he was let go due to COVID. The company did nothing. Almost a year later they are trying to charge him again. Already billed his credit card twice now. He doesn't have a lot of money being in college. I ended up helping him apply for unemployment myself because do not pay did nothing and still charged him. It says on website if you email them they will cancel your subscription. He did this and they did not and charged him again a year later.

Had a bit of an issue with sign up - my own fault - but customer service got back to me right away and cleared everything up! Awesome service.

It's a scam company!
Here is the deal:
I wanted to cancel my American Home Shield warranty and saw their propaganda on their website.
I was initially excited about it because I thought it can definitely save me time and hassle calling American Home Shield myself. After signing up and paying $36 membership fee, I submitted my dispute as they instructed on their website. I thought I could sit back and relax, and let them help me cancel American Home Shield. Two days later, to my surprise, they indicated that it was impossible to complete this job. I was totally shocked and had no idea why they advertised that they can help cancel when they actually CANNOT. It was a completely disappointing experience and I feel like it was a scam and a waste of my $36 dollars.
What's more ironic is that I finally managed to cancel American Home Shield by calling their customer service myself.
Don't trust this company and please stay away!

Signed up for donotpay and was skeptical about it. I was using it to see if i could get a refund from chegg study but realized after i submitted the claim, that chegg already sent me a refund and then, Boom, I was charged 36 dollars for the year. I do not want to have this charge so i went to try and remove my debit card and deactivate my account but shocker, you cant. You have to go through the customer service email. And with multiple reviews of seeing customer service emails not work, I am scared Im scammed out of my money and it will continue to scam me.

It was great at first. I was paying $3 a month. Then about a week after one of my $3 payments, I needed the service, but could not get in until I agreed to pay $36 a year. Contacted support and they said they were going yearly. I was annoyed, but did it anyway. Now I go to use them again and once again, about a week later, can not get past the paywall demanding yet another $36. I'm logged in. It knows I've paid. I'm beyond annoyed. I hit the paywall to pay annual just a day after paying for the month, so I paid for an extra month. The irony of what happened and the company name does not elude me.

On 5 Jan 2021, I found DoNotPay via their “free month trial virtual debit card.”
Their marketing material made it seem like it would be, well, a virtual credit card I could use for any trial service.
They asked me to type in my credit card for “verification” and I went, OK, and did so. Then I discovered that the program only works for like 6 fringe services (like Twitch) and not the one I was after.
Feeling disappointed, I left.
On 11 January 2021, I found a $36 charge waiting on my credit card. I had NO IDEA I had performed a “paying act” as I don’t remember actually signing up for a service ANYWHERE…
Customer service promptly claimed they refunded me when I emailed, but it still hasn’t posted to my card 24 hours later… I felt very scammed. First time this has ever happened to me in 26 years online.

UPDATE: The DoNotPay CEO, Joshua Browder, actually reached out to me on Twitter and expressed his concern that so many of us are feeling duped into the $36. He told me they’re “looking into it” and “on top of” making changes.

Um i was charged $36 for absolutely nothing this is terrible i need my money back asap and i’ll change my review. i put in my info to “make an account” i wasn’t buying anything. Terrible

Charged TWICE, no where to log in to cancel. Total scam. I want my money back. NOW. If these charges don’t get reversed, I’ll have to contact the FTC.

I'm trying to dispute an AT&T bill. Do not pay website needed me to pay them $36.00 for a subscription. within a few days. They told me that it was impossible to complete. So now I'm screwed out of $36.00.
Another scamming website. Watch out.

subscribed for the fax feature and free trial cards, definitely worth the $36

I never signed up for a paid service with this company last I used the service was over a year ago. yet they have been charging my card $3/month the entire time. When you login in there's no where to go to cancel the account and disconnect your card. I have contacted the support email but not received a response. Stay away from this company.
