From delivery to the final mouthful was perfect. The meal came in a small box which fit perfectly in our crammed fridge. The meal was easy to prepare and didn’t involve hardly any washing up, bonus. Would definitely buy again and highly recommend to others. One of the most memorable meals we have had in years. Thank you
It was the Michel Roux Beef Wellington Meal

Michel Roux beef wellington banquet box.
This was a slightly disappointing Christmas treat. In order: the bread and butter are lovely but bulky as course one of six the saffron and champagne soup
Is outstanding. The beef wellington has only a very thin layer of duxelles and is wrapped in cabbage which stays tough. Easy to cook and serves huge portions but lacks premium feel and definitely feels like a bulk production. Jus very bitter. Carrots side dish delightful but celeriac potato dauphinoise bitter and bland. Only having one vegetable garnish feels stingy. Dessert: brioche pudding bland and fatty. Poached pears underdone and bland. Pâté de fruits absolutely stunning. Over all a nice meal and very easy to produce nicely plated. If you’re any sort of cook you could probably do most of it better at home. Definitely lacks premium or luxury feel.

We ordered the Michel Roux Beef Wellington Banquet. It arrived on time and was all packaged well. The first stumbling block was the soup. One of us could not eat it as it was so salty. Next the main event, we had been looking forward to it as we have made it ourselves in the past. Unfortunately the construction of the beef wellington meant the pastry was soggy inside. I've never heard of using cabbage in a beef wellington. No wonder! it added nothing to the dish. The duxelles was wet and had little flavour. It was also a stingy portion. The beef itself was just ok. I would change butcher if I was your meat buyer. The vegetable sides were acceptable. Nothing memorable about them. The jus was the worst bit of the meal. It tasted like hot bovril. It was so thin. It felt as if it was rehydrated from a dried stock cube. We ordered this as a treat for Christmas dinner and feel let down and not treated one bit. I'd never recommend this meal as it was canteen standard rather than restaurant.

It does what it says on the tin!! A great way to try a renowned chef's dish at home at a reasonable price.

The boxed meal of lobster and scallops arrived on time and well packaged. The scallops were delicious. Unfortunately the lobster was tough tasteless and chewy. This was disappointing. The chocolate dessert like the scallops was also delicious. The lobster let it down.

The food was delivered in a quality box, on time and with respect to our property. The quality of the food was excellent and the flavours were out of this world! Beyond our expectations!

I ordered Castillian suckling lamb - it was ok but not as good as I hoped or expected.
The croquettes were very nice but lacked ham but they were pretty easy to fry & crisped up nicely, The salted cod was fine but a little lacking in flavour.
The lamb was very nice & tender & the portion was fine for 2. The sauce was bland we thought. The potatoes were nowhere near crispy in 20 mins so I put them in my air fryer for an additional 10 mins - they eventually crisped.
The salad was divine, absolutely excellent dressing (best element) but not really big enough.
The cheesecake was v nice but the strawberry compote was ridiculously small....maybe 2 strawberries.
Overall it was enjoyable but dissappointing for the cost- I wouldn't buy it again.

We had Andi Oliver’s chocolate goat curry. The aromas and flavours of the food were amazing. It did not disappoint at all. The menu all went well together. It was easy to prepare and there was plenty of it.

The varied range of tastes and dishes, some of which we had never had before. Instructions were clear. Could only have been improved by setting out a time table/gant chart to show what to cook and when.

The box arrived very well packed with clear instructions.Extremely straightforward heating up which made for an easy, top quality meal without all the hassle! The food quality and flavours were all top class and every course was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It IS expensive but I think for a special occasion, it’s worth it. I would like to add that it was over seasoned and that’s something customers cannot change. The inclusion of a green vegetable would have been great as I had to cook some green beans to give some colour to the dish.
