Originally purchased the brush in a local supermarket, however, the supermarkets don’t seem to stock any spare brush heads, just the sponges. I was having to replace the whole brush and handle each ti... See more

Lost a 20+ years customer.
Been using Dishmatic unit for over 20 years. Loved it. But my trusty old one gave up the ghost and I bought another one. As others have said, the sponge falls off the unit. Leaks and wastes so much. I have painful hands and the unit was so helpful. I won't even bother with a replacement, because they send out the same faulty type. Planned obsolescence? Well you forgot about your good name and word of mouth. So many people who saw what I used bought one themselves. Now, I've noticed that other companies are making them, so now's time to switch.

Faultless Customer Service
Like others I had a problem with the sponge coming away from the attachment to the wand, contacted Dismatic and was sent a new set. I even use the detached one when I want to scrub a grubby baking tray holding it over my current sponge wand. Faultless customer service. Hope the manufacturing issue is fixed as these are a great product. Biodegradable replacement heads would be a great innovation 💡 please

This useless product!!!
I'm affraid the problem is the same as many other reviews, the new handles do not fit the sponges. The company must be aware of this problem, so why are they still selling them? I have now found that if you snap the back of the sponge it will will clip in ok and it works fine,no leakage.

They fall apart
I used these for years. They used to last until the scourer was worn. Now they fall apart very quickly. The makers have clearly made the disgusting decision to intentionally make their product become artificially defective much sooner than it should so you buy more often. Very shortsighted as I suspect in the long term most users, like myself, will switch away to a different product.

The head detaches from the handle…
The head detaches from the handle constantly. I sent a series of photos to Dishmatic as requested. They thanked me for them. Then nothing. No explanation as to why there is a problem. They said they would send a complimentary replacement but nothing received. The company is selling a product which is faulty and they do not want to offer any assistance.
They must think we are muppets
I used to be a fan of this product and used it all the time. However this company has clearly taken all its customers (including me) for complete muppets. The quality has gone down ridiculously. I understand as a business you cannot make a product that lasts forever and most of your sales come from refills, however the fact that now the sponge brakes so quickly (last one after two uses) makes it outrageously poor. Changing brands and not going back.
Odd sponge problem but great customer service
I agree with the other reviews about the sponges not fitting on properly at the moment and I’m not sure what is going on. However, I contacted their customer service who were very friendly and helpful and sent me a complimentary pack which are fitting on. A very rare good experience with customer service and I am very grateful that they quickly replied and sorted this out for me, although I don’t know why some of their sponges haven’t been fitting but I really appreciate their customer service.

Useless product.
I would give zero if I could. The soaps seems to come out of sponge when not being used so my draining board constantly has soap liquid on it. The brushes sometimes don't fit properly and don't get me started on the times the sponge has come away from the plastic. This company should really get its act together, there is no excuse for manufacturer incompetence. I will be looking for other products, this is costing way too much in fairy liquid and new refills.
Useless, absolutely useless!
Useless. Must have shares in a dishwashing liquid company! Like others comments on this forum, I’ve used “dishmatic” for years. Recently the sponges have started falling off the handle after just a few uses and they seem to have changed the hole where the detergent is dispensed - it uses sooo much dishwashing liquid, I have to refill it every time I wash up. Not happy Jan. Will be trying another brand in future.
Dishmatic sponges no longer fit properly…
Dishmatic sponges no longer properly fit the handles…there is a large gap at the back closest to handle and the sponge cannot be properly fixed. As a result the sponges keep falling off and washing up with them is a very very frustrating experience..I will not be buying them any more. The sponges used to fit properly and I thought dishmatic was great but not any more…very disappointed especially since Dishmatic has clearly not addressed the poor reviews for same reasons…ergo falling sales I suspect!l
The dishmatic sponges on handles used…
The dishmatic sponges on handles used to be amazing. I suffer joint issues and holding a sponge/cloth hurt my hands and caused them to seize. These were perfect and helped massively. I don’t know what’s happened but now the sponges fall off the handles after 3/4 uses. Bring back the old ones!
I have used these for probably 30 years…
I have used these for probably 30 years and they would’ve been one of the things I’d take to a desert island! The last year or so they have changed the glue and they fall apart. Very disappointing. I’m going to find a different company.
I've been buying this brand for many…
I've been buying this brand for many years but suddenly the quality has changed. I've got new sponges that have come off pretty easily and i've had to throw away. The glue is not how it used to be and it's a massive waste of money.
I have been using dishmatic for years…unhappy washer upper
I have been using dishmatic for years with absolutely no problems BUT since they changed the style of handle which I find awful not only do the sponges continuously fall off they also leak washing up liquid everywhere!!!! Please please please 🙏 revert back to the old style of handle .So much better .Val
DONT WASTE MONEY ON DISHMATIC SPONGES DROP OFF!
The sponges keeps peeling off the plastic casing! I'm using the correct sponges but I think Dishmatic have changed the glue in recent years as this keeps happening. It happened foe a spell last year and it's happening again. Last time they sent me some free of charge and they were fine! It's definitely bad batches of sponges but en mass! I don't think I will bother with these in the future as I can't keep wasting money like this on them. Dishmatic manufacturers obviously don't give a damn, judging by all these recent reviews!
How does a company not check quality…
How does a company not check quality control and supermarkets not ensure the things they sell are fit for purpose ? So many things in the world just make no sense. A key function is the sponge retaining adhesion to the holder yet it comes away and the units clog. Basic sponge and soap as with everything simple and back to basics work. World overcomplicated.
Horrible
Horrible, absolute waste of money. It loses liquid from both sides, it's absolutely useless. I threw it away just a few hours after purchasing it because it was making such a mess on the kitchen sink.
I’ve been using these refills for years…
I’ve been using these refills for years and the last couple of lots I’ve purchased the glue has come unstuck between plastic and pad normally the scorer wears out first is there a reason
Not happy
Unfortunately the handle design has…
Unfortunately the handle design has changed and the sponge brackets no longer clip on sufficiently, resulting in the sponge repeatedly detaching from the handle when in use. I tried alerting the customer support team to this new design flaw, but they simply sent me more faulty handles!
Did they stop using real glue?
Did they stop using real glue?? The Dishmatic replacement sponges barely last a week before they tear from the plastic clip. Raise the price and make the product worse. Good strategy.
