I received my dress and was very unhappy that when it arrived with UPS I had to pay an additional $60 in duty charges after paying my shipping costs through the check out process. The dress came exactly as pictured on the website which was great, but it was small through the bust area and I even ordered a larger size than I usually take. This is very disappointing as I may have to send it back. Or spend more money to get it altered.

I am so glad I found this dress shop online. Finding a plus sized formal for a Mardi Gras ball I attend every year has always been such a pain - until this year. I’ll admit that I was extremely skittish to order online because of the horror stories, but after two weekends wasted shopping for a dress I rolled the dice and ordered one from Discount Dress Shop by Cinderella Divine (style CH211) on Thursday. In fact, I was so worried that the dress would not fit or it it would be one of those horror stories that I went shopping again over the weekend and purchased an emergency backup dress, which was really plain and not what I wanted. Well today, (Monday) my dress from Discount Dress Shop came in, and it is stunning and fits perfectly.

I also want to share the ordering process I experienced just to give the full low down. Once I found a dress I liked, I messaged the company through the messenger on their website to check to see if it was in stock and sizing. They were offline at the time, but someone quickly responded back to me through email to let me know the one I wanted was not currently in stock, and it would not be in until after the ball. The rep also sent me a link to all of the dresses they carried that would work for me based on my measurements. Luckily, my second choice was in stock, so I placed my order on Thursday with 2 day shipping and it arrived today.

I really wanted to share my experience because I know how hard it is to find plus sized formals, and being a teacher on a limited budget, I also know how scary it is to buy online with all of the fraudulent companies out there. So here is my advice based on my experience...this is a legitimate company with beautiful dresses. Also, take a second to call or message to check for availability and correct sizing because formal wear has very different sizing than normal clothes (I am usually a 18-20 or 2X, but I had to order a 4X in my dress.)

After spending hours searching for a particular-fitting dress at endless websites, my heart sank when I found out the other companies required up to 4 weeks to MAKE THE DRESS. That's when I came upon Discount Dress Shop. It actually saved my day! The dresses are beautiful, great quality, and Promptly shipped...they're already made and waiting! Size of dress did not match dimensions given

Our group of 25+ ladies purchase these dresses for a huge event. The sizes of the dress are a little off. The jacket sizes do not match with the size of the top of the dress. The experience wasn't great. There were a few exchanges that neede to be done. I have been currently waiting for almost two weeks for someone from the company to return my call in reference to exchanging sizes for the dresses. Due to the fact we haven't heard back from the vendor and they have our money, I think it is poor customer service on the companies end. This is sad because the dress is beautiful and the company did great in getting the dresses to us quickly. They failed in not following up to keep us as customers during the exchange process. The group was planning to buy the same dress again in other color,but due to the experience we will find another vendor.

This was the 1st time making a purchase from the company & it could not have been better. Received in a timely fashion, help was given so that item was a perfect fit. I would definitely recommend this place to others‼️

I would give 5 stars if the dress I ordered had been in stock. I was emailed AFTER order was submitted that ALL sizes were out. The site should be more current. The cx service rep offered me every other style they had that I hated...which is why I didn't choose one originally, but I was desperate at this point. The one I chose did arrive on the day I needed to wear it as promised at my job. It was "OK" except too small. I should've known to stick with the size of my original order...ended up rigging up a black top I was already wearing to replace the shell since I had to go straight to the event from there. Thankfully the jacket only buttoned at the neck so it passed, and I wore suspenders to keep the skirt from falling. It got me through the event that night. The rep made a sale. FYI...order WAY ahead of time.

The service was great the sale person really assisted me, he called me to see if i was still interested in the dress, he was so nice. I will be shopping with him again soon.

I honestly feel like I received the knock off version of this dress. The top of the dress doesn't even compare to the picture. The cut and the "folds" don't match up with the picture. The folds don't extend all the way and it looks bunched up and poorly made
