A hiccup, made up for with pleasant customer service, and speed.
I ordered a My weigh Maestro scale, it was in stock on the site, but the next day I received an apolgetic email that it would take until Oct until they were restocked. I was asked if I still wanted to go ahead, I agreed. The next day, I emailed asking if I could change my order via email, and if the new scales I wanted were in stock. Reply was swift and I got my order booked in, and it arrived the next day.
Happy with my purchase. My weigh KD-8000, My weigh Triton T3-R 500g and calibration weights.

The first thing that impressed me wasn't actually the scale – it was the company.
As I opened the package, the invoice was on top, and at the bottom was a handwritten note:
"Thank you, Karleen, for your order. Mark at Digital Scales Company."
It was such a simple gesture, but it immediately gave me the feeling that there were real people behind the business who genuinely cared about their customers. In a world of automated emails and printed invoices, that personal touch made a wonderful first impression.
The scale itself arrived a day earlier than expected, which was a lovely surprise.
The packaging was excellent. The outer shipping carton was exactly the right size for the product box, so there wasn't a huge amount of unnecessary packaging or wasted space. Everything inside was neatly arranged, well protected and exactly where it should have been.
I actually bought this scale for a slightly unusual reason. My vet explained that dedicated pet scales can be surprisingly expensive, so I started looking for a practical everyday alternative that would still give me the accuracy I needed to monitor the weight of my two growing kittens. That's how I found this scale. Although it is designed for weighing parcels, it has proved to be absolutely perfect for what I needed.
As I unpacked and explored it, I kept discovering thoughtful little design features that made me think, "They've thought of that too."
The removable display on its coiled lead is excellent for weighing larger items that might otherwise block the screen. The removable weighing tray is ideal for easy cleaning, and the included tube and envelope holders are genuinely useful rather than just being extras added for the sake of it.
The display is bright, clear and very easy to read. The large blue backlit screen with its clear black lettering is perfect for me, and all the weighing units and indicators are easy to see at a glance. The buttons are large, clearly labelled and responsive, and I particularly like that the scale measures in very small increments, making it ideal for accurately monitoring small changes in weight.
The only minor issue I encountered was opening the battery compartment for the first time. It was extremely tight, and I simply couldn't manage it myself.
This is where your customer service really stood out.
When I phoned, I spoke to Mark—the very same person who had written the handwritten note on my invoice. I mentioned how much I had appreciated that personal touch, and then explained the problem with the battery compartment.
Rather than simply telling me how it should work, Mark immediately took another scale from the same batch, tested it himself while we were on the phone, and confirmed that it was just as tight. He stayed on the phone while I got someone to help me open mine and genuinely listened when I suggested that perhaps the battery compartment could be opened once during quality control before shipping, just to make that first opening easier for customers.
His response impressed me just as much as the scale itself. He agreed that it was an excellent suggestion and told me he would open the remaining units from that batch before repackaging them.
That is exactly the sort of customer service that deserves recognition. Instead of dismissing my concern, you investigated it yourselves, confirmed the issue and immediately looked at how to improve the experience for future customers.
It isn't often that I can honestly say a product exceeds my expectations, but this one certainly did.
The scale is exceptionally well designed, beautifully made and a pleasure to use. Combined with genuinely personal customer service, it has been one of the nicest online purchases I have made.
Thank you for producing such a thoughtfully designed product and for taking such pride in looking after your customers.
I would happily recommend both this scale and Digital Scales Company without hesitation.

Very impressed by this keen, customer focussed company
I ordered some Barista scales, recommended by another site.
The Digital Scales Company webpage was very informative about the product, even making reference to how the scales were recommended on the (very popular) site I had seen them on.
The price was excellent. The delivery was speedy. The order was exactly as expected and even included a hand written thank you note.
Impressed, I looked them up on Companies House (I am an accountant, please forgive me) and discovered they are a UK based, owner-operated company.

If anyone needs to learn how to online retail, ask this company. From the outset, the website is both clear and informative. All the information I needed to know was there, proper images and showing what is needed and no annoying pop ups. Crazy fast delivery, really well packaged and the invoice was included, not a shoddy ‘download available’.
I needed precise scales that weren’t stupidly expensive and worked on mains power. I got all of the above with a recognised brand and half the price of the internet giants.

Excellent scales
Excellent scales, the most useful function is the raised weigh table so you can read the weight under a large bowl.
Also the mains or battery option can be extremely useful.
