Practise changing software

My practice has benefited greatly from Dext, especially in keeping workflows organised and accurate.

It has saved me significant amounts of time and allowed me to grow the business.

Working with Jim has been a real advantage; he’s responsive, knowledgeable, and consistently helpful in getting us up to speed with new features.

A Must use

Been a long‑time user of Dext for years. It’s streamlined our workflows, improved accuracy across the practice, and removed more than 100 hours of manual processing for both our bookkeeping team and our clients using Dext.

Jim has been an excellent CMS, knowledgeable, approachable, and proactive in helping us get the most out of the platform. He’s always willing to provide training and support to the team, and he’s been great in helping us run webinar to demo the system to clients.

Not Recommended for Accounting Firms

This company operated well when it was Receipt Bank; however, after the acquisition and rebranding to Dext, the quality of service has significantly declined. Their business practices have become concerning, particularly with a pricing structure that changes frequently and lacks transparency.

For accounting firms, this creates ongoing challenges. The platform often requires purchasing additional instances that go unused, and the recurring pricing changes make it difficult to manage costs effectively across multiple clients. Once implemented across a client base, transitioning away becomes complex and costly.

In our experience, these issues have resulted in thousands of dollars in unnecessary expenses, and the cancellation process includes substantial exit costs that make it difficult to disengage. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service to accounting firms seeking stability and predictable pricing.

Positive turn around time

The speed of response and action from the support team was incredibly fast, which allowed me to continue what I was working on without having to move workload.

EFFICIENCY!!

Using Dext System since 2025.

ABSOLUTELY USER-FRIENDLY!!
The fact that when scanning ... then uploading on dext ... immediately suppliers' invoices are allocated into accounts on our accounting system.

Efficiency is off the charts. No manual processing required.

Such a good idea and so easy to use....

I have been using Dext now for approximately 2 years and think it is great. Saves so much time not having to add individual invoices to the accounts package and works extremely well with Xero. I can scan or forward any emails to dext and it will read them and automatically add them to the correct costing codes. You just have to check and approve them in Xero once they have pulled through. Would defo recommend.

Amazing Customer Service

Dext has really good support

Dext has really good support. So far we had all our clients on Hubdoc, which does the job, but Dext is in a different stratosphere with respect to user experience and support.

As an accountancy practice one of the…

As an accountancy practice one of the issues we had was getting our clients to either email, share or drop their records in. This creates stress and pressure especially when trying to meet deadlines.

Dext makes this process so easy and simple. Clients simply download the Dext app and take a photo of their invoices/receipts/statements and press send. This enables clients to forward their documents as soon as they receive them in real time.

Reviewing documents is quick and easy and with Dext linked to our accounting software this saves time and streamlines the whole bookkeeping process. Dext also keeps copies of all the documents so you do not need to worry about misplacing paperwork.

Its so easy every bookkeeping client should be using this.

Dext is very useful for bookkeepers/accountants

Dext is a very useful platform that I use on both desktop and mobile. It reads information that you can then send across to Xero, so it saves you a lot of time typing. But also it does other useful things like PDF conversions to excel etc. I had a small issue and the customer support solved it within 10 minutes. Very good experience.

DEXT is so easy to use

I find DEXT extremely easy to use. I can send pictures of my receipts or forward emails. Then it is quick and easy to reference the correct account and put in a description.

I have found Dext very easy to use

I have found Dext very easy to use. I decided to get certified, after completing level 2 level 3 did not show up anywhere. I contacted customer support within minutes my issue was resolved.

Easy to use

My bookkeeper got me onto Dext a couple years ago, not only is it easy to use. It’s very handy to look back through the app to see my company’s history of purchases and invoices. It’s a must!
