lots of hidden costs that are not specified on their agreements and very expensive compared to their competitors
We found it nearly impossible to get out of contract at the end of its term. The discount they advertise for retention is not given and the cost just go up year on year.
Their Options and Customer Relations Manager could really do with reviewing how he deals with the customers or they may end up with none.
Gave them photos of machine, told them manufacturer no longer supports the machine, but we just bought a brand new battery and now cant return it. They said they can send an Engineer to reset it. Was trying repeatedly to get us into a contract for new machine. Engineer arrived said we should have been told that its an old machine, which they cannot support. Didn't know why he was book in the first place.
They are just a rip off, they advertise £1 per day to hire a defib, in the small print it does say cost can go up over the life of the contract (this is 5 years), but you still advertise on your website that it is £1 per day so all you are doing is ripping off old customers
Then on to cancel the contract even though this is a five year contract if you leave it running they tie you in to another year and keep going, when you do finally cancel they ask for you to return the equipment, not a problem it is yours, but the problem is they try to charge you £175 + Vat for each unit for them to collect, they then check the unit is in full working order and then send you a bill for £125 + VAT for each defib for Disposal charges stating Weee regulations, What are you disposing of, It cannot be the working defibs as they have a residual value and could be resold as second hand units, if the defibs were not working at the time of handing back i am sure you would have tried to charge for that instead of the Weee fee
Be warned these fees are not told to you in the original contract and are beyond excessive, they say on the web site hire a defib it saves you money, until you return after contract end and they try to fleece every last penny out of you, they also try to forget about the initial £150 + Vat deposit you pay for each unit
It is very much cheaper to buy outright, than pay this company to end up ripping you off in the end
When ending an agreement they throw excessive charges at you even when your contract has long since expired. DO NOT USE stay away.
They do not understand current laws and have a strange approach to customer service. Would never recommend to any fellow business.
Defib machines are an excellent company to deal with. From start to finish the process of ordering, arranging installation and training has been very professional.
I can thoroughly recommend them.
