Our Philosophy

At Daylesford, we’re dedicated to growing, producing and cooking seasonal, organic food. It must be fresh, and full of flavour, packed with the many vitamins and minerals that come from natural food, picked and eaten at its peak.

As part of a mission to reverse the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it, we practise organic, sustainable framing with far less pesticides and herbicides on our crops. We do not use artificial growth promoters and hormones on our animals, and maintain the highest welfare standards.

Above all, we believe that when people eat natural, organic food, they can taste the difference. It’s a chain of goodness that begins with healthy soil, and finishes with healthy animals and people.

Our Farmshops

From high-quality larder staples to indulgent treats for special occasions, our farmshop shelves are full with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables from our organic Market Garden, artisan bread made by hand in our own Bakery, award-winning cheese from our Creamery and fresh organic meat from clover-rich pastures.

Our Homewares collections are made by makers who are as passionate about sustainability, quality materials and elegant design as we are to create one-of-a-kind items for your homes and gardens, from the softest linens to the signature scents of our home fragrance range.

Our Cafés

Our organic cafés are the natural showcase for what we do on the farm. Here, our chefs make our produce the star of each plate, with seasonally changing menus and daily specials highlight what’s good to eat right now.

Better service online than in store

This is a mixed bag as online the service is great delivery on time reallt prompt. In store remains a lot to be desired unfortunately , staff lack the product info and often come up short which is what it is . I dont think they are hiring the best possible staff and with the high turnover i dont think they do enough to convince good people to stay

Terrible service below the luxury tag

My sister who spends a lot of money with Daylesford kindly bought me a gift voucher for my last birthday. What a disaster! She won’t buy another one.
I tried to spend the voucher in store but was told it had expired - before the 12-month deadline. The staff were clueless and unhelpful . I then tried online. Long story short, the Pimlico store had never activated the card when purchased. I rang customer services three times before I got someone who knew what they were talking about. Well done Casey who set up a new e gift card. The website still wouldn’t accept it (a lot of functionality problems which need fixing) so I ended up doing a phone order. So hours later I had an order en route. The woman who arranged the phone order said she’d email to tell me what the balance was on my card. She didn’t follow through. So, all in all, a dreadful experience which wasted hours of my time. Not a high class, luxury outlet in any sense apart from the high cost of their products. Nobody apart from Casey wanted to hear about the problems of dealing with Daylesford.

Great for soup - pass on salads

Busy Saturday afternoon we popped in for lunch. Sadly this is the second time the salads were well under par to Daylesford quality. Too much sauce, very soppy and not enough GREEN. Perhaps they are a day old? Hope they restore fresh crunchy signature salad.

BE AWARE OF ‘DISCRETIONARY’ TIPS BEING INCLUDED IN THE BILL.

Service was pleasant and efficient.
Coffee was acceptable but surprised we don’t yet see any coffee art, like a simple swirl or a D for Daylesford on the top of a £5 mug, wouldn’t take much especially when not busy.
Also somewhat object to when paying in cash, being presented with a bill that already includes a service charge - albeit being flagged as discretionary. It’s unlikely most customers would ask their server to reprint the bill and withdraw the tip, I think this is sharp practice. When paying with a card, there’s often an easier - perhaps more tactful - way to say I want to tip separately or I don’t want to tip. Who thought this up? I am surprised by Daylesfird Organics that they do this.

Not what it used to be to be

Dalesford has been a favourite spot for over 20years but the last two visits have been very disappointing. Service was poor - not only from a responsiveness perspective but also the way in which the waitrons address you - surly and impatient. It really feels like they are doing you a favour. And then there is a service charge automatically included resulting in zero incentive for the waitrons to provide even a decent service. Meals were good except for the salad which was all leaves and very little else. Perhaps they have got too big…

Hugely improved service

The lady who looked after me outside on the terrace was really friendly, efficient & service was very quick unlike previous occasions when I drew attention to the fact via the manager. I am delighted to see that the service has improved dramatically. I felt before that the staff had not been trained properly to pour water without front asked, or tap water & to check in on guests & this time they did!
