Based on my experience with Daniel…
Based on my experience with Daniel Watney and supported by an independent Tenancy Deposit Scheme adjudication (case EWI00011849), I would be cautious about renting through them. They attempted to claim excessive amounts from our deposit, including £2,736 for redecorating a property that wasn't freshly decorated when we moved in, £804 for cleaning despite us leaving it in reasonable condition, and £503.76 for various repairs. The independent adjudicator significantly reduced most of their claims, finding them unreasonable.
I'm not sure where to start… Dont, save yourself!!
I'm not sure where to start! I have been living in London for 15 years and have dealt with so many estate agents, but none as slippery as this company. I think it might be a culture, as each agent is as incompetent as the last. Please save yourself time and choose a different flat. It's a full-time job chasing these guys for a response.
The ABSOLUTE WORST commercial agents I have experienced over 20 years
Save your time and sanity by steering clear of these guys. Trust me, even if the property they have advertised seems perfect for your needs, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!! There are plenty of other options available.
We were initially hesitant to arrange a viewing with them due to their terrible reviews, and unfortunately, those reviews were spot on. After viewing the space, every SINGLE attempt to communicate with them has been a nightmare. It can take up to a week to get a response to an email, and that's if they reply at all. You can’t reach them on the phone either; if someone does answer, they’ll either transfer you to the wrong person or promise a call back that never happens. On a couple of occasions, they didn’t even ask for a name or number but said we would receive a call back—ridiculous. After wasting so much time, we decided it was best to look elsewhere as we couldn’t imagine dealing with them long-term.
I also advise LANDLORDS to STEER CLEAR of these guys. They have zero urgency to get your property let, likely because they’re not the ones losing money with your property sitting empty. These agents are the reason good Central London agents get a bad name. A good office location and a high headcount don’t equal good service.
These are the ABSOLUTE WORST commercial agents I have experienced in over 20 years of doing business in Central London. You have been warned!!!!

Block management is atrocious
Block management is atrocious, our accounts are outstanding for 4 years, Fire door survey done 1 year ago still awaiting completion. Raised with senior partner, electronic acknowledgment, nothing more.
Emails and calls unanswered.
Despite acknowledgment below, usual Daniel Watney lack of action and no contact one month later.

Huge lack of competent communication and kindness towards their clients, especially one that was with them for over a year
I've been renting with them for nearly 2 years now, the first year was without any problems, so when my fixed term lease ended I emailed and asked to extend for another 12 months explicitly. The rent increased and I was happy to pay extra, the staff at Daniel Watney talked me through this.
Fast forward to now, where it's two months before I'm due to move out (or so I thought), I emailed Daniel Watney for guidance on the checkout process. However, they informed me that I have to pay rent for an extra week because I didn't inform them early enough, when I literally informed them over a year ago. Now, we're in a cost of living crisis and quite frankly this messes with my finances drastically, causing me a lot of emotional and mental distress.
According to Amber, "The termination notice has to be formally served and the email sent to Aisha does not mention terminating the tenancy, only extending it."
Does my initial email, asking to extend for another 12 months, not imply that I would like my tenancy to end in 12 months time?

We have been tenants for the past 2…
We have been tenants for the past 2 years and just wanted to say special thanks to Ellie Elam from the property management team. She has been absolutely amazing to deal with, always promptly responding and super helpful. Thank you!

Poor service
Tried to call, once per day, they just asked for name and phone no., but never called back. And even cut my call when I tried calling again.
They finally replied to my email which asked for me to reply back with my information. They then told me that the flat had been let out already whilst still asking for my information. Why continue asking for my details knowing full well the flat had been let?

Hit and miss.
Hit and miss.
There are professional people here, but unfortunately most of them are grossly incompetent.
Stay AWAY!
Horrible company to deal with
Horrible company to deal with. They are absolutely useless when it comes to getting things done in our building. Would not recommend.
To give these people 1 star is…
To give these people 1 star is generous.
We are in the middle of a pandemic, and 3/4 of the building is with no running water for over 12 hours. Why? Because these people are incompetent.
Use them at your own risk.
We were entirely happy with Alice's…
We were entirely happy with Alice's handling of our tenancy renewal and request for a rent increase. She is by far the most efficient member of your team we have come across recently.
