Dealing with Miles at DCA has been an absolute pleasure - great communication, kept me informed throughout the entire process, the 3D scan impressions were quick and way more comfortable than the "traditional" method and my new IEMs turned out great!
Will definitely use DCA again if I need more custom IEMs or hearing protection in the future.
Highly recommended!

Working with Miles has been great throughout the whole process. He tailored the experience making things personable and relatable - he even went out his way to hand deliver my in-ears today once they arrived as I had gigs all weekend.

I reached out to Miles back in April and he’s been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process of getting my first custom IEMs. Despite all the back-and-forth getting the perfect fit, he’s been a fantastic guide and very patient. Miles has been wonderful throughout the process of my IEM service. I had lost significant volume in my left IEM, and upon return following a service from Miles, they were back to sounding brand new again! When it's time to get a new pair in the future, I'll be sure to give Miles a call!

9I was really disappointed with the whole order process to be honest. I paid £450 for a set of IEMs through DCA and it took 3 months to get a working pair.

Updates only came if I asked, repeated requests for a stronger filter were ignored and emails just not responded to.

Even though I asked for 26db filters on multiple occasions, did I find out that they don't exist (if I had known from the start I would have not ordered them in the first place), so I asked for 23dB filters instead. The IEMs still arrived with 17dB filters. They had to go back to the manufacturer due to a defect and DCA initially refused to cover the shipping until I pointed them in the direction of the 2016 consumer rights laws. The IEMs were then returned to me with, yep, 17dB filters. I then had to remove these, post them to the manufacturer who then sent them to me.

So it's disappointing to write a negative review of a small business but the whole process was a disorganised mess.

As a response to your reply: the attenuation aren't to my original preference. The 26db filters don't exist and had you told me this i wouldn't have purchased them so overall its a waste of £450 for me. So no, I'm not happy and considered giving a 1 start review.

I had a session with Miles to try out different models of IEMs a few weeks back and also had my 3D impressions taken. Miles was super friendly and knowledgeable and worked with me to select the perfect IEMs for my needs as a woodwind player. The 3D impressions technology is so much quicker than having moulds taken manually and it was really interesting to see inside my ears. Highly recommend.

Miles was a very professional individual and tailored the process to each individual to best ensure they received the service they needed to make an informed purchase decision. I will recommend other people to purchase through Dakin in the future, should they be looking for similar IEMs that Dakin can provide.

Miles was super helpful. He took his time to get to know me and what I was looking for before trying to sell me anything. The Approach of blind testing all of his available products really gave me the most impartial advantage when choosing my custom ears. Surprising myself in the process of what I thought I'd need vs what I liked. Communication from start to finish was transparent and efficient. Would highly recommend this great service to anyone who's looking to upgrade or (Like me) get their first set of custom IEM's.

Miles has been excellent to work with throughout the process of getting me the perfect IEMs. He helped me A B test a lot of different options until we landed on the perfect pair. The process for scanning my ears for molds was easy and much more comfortable than traditional silicon molds. Since receiving my in ears Miles has been there to support wherever I’ve needed it to make sure I’m always gig ready.

Can’t recommend him enough for your custom audio needs!

Miles is awesome, super professional, great guidance and super fast response on everything. The 3D digital fit is absolutely perfect.

Miles helped me with picking my first pair of custom IEMs. I worked closely with him making sure I picked exactly what I needed as I have a hearing impairment. I was very lucky to get a small discount because I only needed 1 working iem due to being deaf, the service provided was excellent and he’s always helped me with any issues during and after receiving. So happy with my IEMS! Will be using again in the future and will reccomend to everyone !

A friend of mine recommended Miles from DCA to me for getting hooked up with some new in-ears. He was very friendly and informative about all of the options and the process for getting my ears scanned was very quick. The turn-around from scanning to receiving my in-ears was also very quick.

I've now tried out the in-ears on tour and the fit and sound are both fantastic. I would strongly recommend DCA if you're looking for high-quality in-ear monitoring.
