Very poor communication

Very poor communication
No answering e-mails, getting them on phone is a miracle. I haven't seen my pedals for over 2 months, and I want to know what is going on...

no communication, no product

7 weeks after ordering, no product and wouldn’t answer emails.

Had to raise a PayPal case. Ironically, the owner then responded so I waited a further two weeks. Nothing arrived. Given up hope.

Useless company

Faulty Garmin Rally Powermeter…

Purchased Garmin Rally Powermeter Pedals. They were faulty straight out of the box. Nobody to answer phones and help at CPM on Friday. No reply to two emails requesting help. I have now had the pedals replaced via going direct to Garmin under warrantee. Give CPM a miss.

Avoid like the plague

If only I'd checked the reviews first I could have saved myself a lot of grief and wasted effort.

Ordered a NEW Spider-based power meter from CPM and initially all looked great.....whilst there was no follow-up regarding the order, it arrived the next day so all was looking great.

This is when the problems started. I had been reading up a lot about this power meter so had watched umpteen unboxing and setup videos and when I opened my box it looked wrong...clearly wasn't a new one...everything was in the wrong place, stickers in the wrong place etc...so I emailed CPM asking if I should be concerned....had they opened to check it for some reason...no reply.

Emailed again...no reply.....

Emailed for the third time CC'd every single email on their site and then finally got a reply explaining it WAS a unit returned by a customer, not a new one...but that they could replace it for me but when I opened it, it would be the same.

I replied explaining that I had ordered a NEW device (n ot a customer return) and as this is a calibrated device, I would like to have it replaced at their earliest convenience...and that was the last I heard from them.

I emailed them daily for a week and got zero replies and phoning their numbers always went to the answerphone

So decided to lodge a case with Paypal...thankfully I'd paid via them...and again, it took almost three weeks for CPM to even bother to reply to this at which point they offered a full refund...which I do not want...I just want what I paid for, and I even had to pay to return the item (even though it's not my error) and then and only then would they refund me.

As above, why on earth should I pay return postage when they have supplied a wrongly described unit? NAd knowing how long it takes them to even reply to an email, I have no confidence I'd ever hear from them again when they do get it back and would be chasing the money for months.

Be aware this is clearly a tin pot shop and I'd order from literally anywhere than here in the future to save yourself all the grief I've had to go through...amazing that a company can be this useless

Worked out in the end

This company has problems with email systems etc which they maybe should explain on website. I ordered and set up account but no automatic confirmation was received which is usual for most companies these days, I emailed and called with no response that day, I then posted on their Facebook site and received a response next working day and also explanation and email with order and shipping details. Cleats arrived 2 days later so overall happy but I think they are genuine although have some organisation and comms work to do. Assioma cleats were very good price ( everyone else wants shed loads of money) and are originals . Will use again and fingers crossed they will sort admin / phones etc
Reason for lower 4 star is the comms issues

Used this company lots of times to buy…

Used this company lots of times to buy both power meters and spares with no problems, Above and beyond today when I received a call/ email to advise I had made a confusing order as I’d ordered parts for two different types of powermeters, I was wrong and all been sorted out before dispatch which is great. Thank you,

11th January 2023

11th January 2023, I placed an order on your site for a North Pole product #100016540.
When I saw a 10 days wait before the product was shipped,
I thought I would get it faster than the North Pole site in the USA.
But 2 months later, without any information on my email, despite my requests, I received nothing.

Placed an order for power meter pedals…

Placed an order for power meter pedals on 28/12/22. Didn't receive any confirmation the order had gone through, and the order still showed as processing on the website.
I sent three emails between 29th Dec and 3rd Jan with no response, not even an automated acknowledgement.
I tried calling the company twice in the afternoon of 3rd Jan and just got an answer message. I left a message and didn't hear back.
I have now emailed them to ask the order be cancelled and taken my trade elsewhere.

I have no idea whether this is a fraudulent website or they are just incompetent but I would suggest you take your business somewhere else.

Update: as per the response from cycle power meters, they did send me a nice email apologising and it’s good they admitted fault. They did cancel the order without issue so I have credited them by adding a star to my review.
Might try them again in future if they have a good deal on, but would probably not order over a holiday period!

Hands up, we screw this up - combination of holidays and illness meant we didn't get back in a timely manner. We have apologized and cancelled the order as requested (no payment was taken).

#100016203# Ordered 2 x sets of cleats…

#100016203# Ordered 2 x sets of cleats for my power pedals on the 7th November. Still haven't arrived today 25/11/22. I've sent numerous emails and they have not got back to me and nobody ever answers the phone when I call them. I'm going to contact trading standards. This is clearly a fraud that I'm a victim of and I shall be reporting the issue to Police Scotland for further enquiry. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I'm a member of a large cycle club in Ayrshire and I've made all the members aware of this incident. I shall also be spreading the word as much as I can on Social media etc to fully expose this!!!!

First set of cleat shipped 8/11/22 were lost in the post - tracking https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/tracking-results/320553325000417987E5B

Would be good if you would update this to show you received a second set on the 10th of December (delayed by postal strikes)

No Commutation

I made an order back in May 2022 (7 months ago!) which, after arriving considerably later than was advertised, the order contained the wrong item. I have made several attempts to contact the company about this and have been met with silence every time. A clear inability to communicate has left me with a really sour taste, don't risk it and shop elsewhere.

Mr Halder,
The product clearly states on the website that the lead time is 45 days. It is also in the confirmation email. You placed your order 20 days ago so if you wanted the product you would have to wait another 25 days. I appreciate lead times are frustrating but if you didnt want to wait you could just have not placed the order or waited until it was in stock!
We have already cancelled and refunded your order.

Great pre sales. After sales - complete opposite.

Couldn’t fault the speed with which they fulfilled my order, but I did pay extra for next day delivery.

It was all downhill from there unfortunately. My item was faulty and it must have taken me 3 emails before they would provide me with returns instructions.

I duly returned the item and they went quiet on me again. I had no option to raise a claim through PayPal because at this point I was out of pocket on the item and on the return fees.

They waited until the final day before PayPal automatically found in my favour to dispute receiving the faulty item. However, I saw this coming and sent it back recorded. I included all proof of posting and receipt and they were then forced to accept defeat and I received my refund.

Moral of the story - don’t touch them with a barge pole, but if you really have to, use PayPal and be prepared for a fight if things go wrong!

Don't order from this company

I ordered a power meter from cyclepowermeters.com, which was shown as in stock on their website. I received a confirmation email that stated that the power meter was in stock and would be fulfilled. As I then didn't hear anything from the company for two weeks, I sent them an email, but did not get a reply. I then phoned them and was told that I had to be called back, which never happened. I phoned again to be lectured on on by a staff member who was neither empathic nor did the individual offer an apology. Very disappointing and frustrating experience.

Hand up this is our mistake, we can only apologize for that. It was showing in stock but this was a stock error. We should have told you that when we went to pick it. Unfortunately with the rush of Easter orders that didnt happen. We did speak to you on the phone when you called and we would have called back when we had information on a delivery date. But we still do not have an ETA for this product. Sorry we have let you down.

Great Pre Sales Terrible After Sales

Ordered and received a set of Garmin Vector 3 Peddles, great pre-sales however when I received them (29th March 2021) sent an email as they appeared to be faulty, response came through stating that someone would be in touch(no one did), advised that the pedals were not even flashing when pairing and I would replace the battery at my expense, no response, changed the battery and it failed again, have asked for their returns procedure but am not holding my breath for a response on this either, fortunately Garmin have stepped in and are replacing them for me. So to sum up, when purchasing expect a quick response, after sales expect to be ignored, very disappointed with their service and I will never be using them again.

Follow Up

1. You didn't suggest swapping the battery, I did
2. The last email you sent until this review was the 30th March

Graham - you emailed us on the 29th saying there was a problem. We emailed back on the 30th. You replied on the 30th and we replied again on the 31st. So saying we have ignored you is lying, you replied to our emails and therefore got them.
We suggested you trying swapping batteries in case it had run out in transit. You swapped batteries and told us that pedal had started working suggesting the batteries were the cause. You then said you were off to buy some new batteries. We then didn't hear from you from then until today when you emailed 3 hours ago asking about our returns procedure. Apparently because we didn't respond in a 5 minutes you emailed again and then left this review. We understand that you are frustrated that the pedals appear to have a problem. Our customer service is not part of that problem. If you want to return the pedals to us then please follow the details in the email we have sent you. If they are faulty we will replace them or give you a full refund.
