CVS PHARMACY in Laurel

CVS PHARMACY in Laurel , MD has the WORST customer service !!! 15100 Baltimore Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. There was a gentleman at the drive-in window he didn’t say hello even though I greeted him , the first thing out of his mouth was “cell number” , he didn’t say may I have your cell number he just said cell number. Not only that he didn’t give me an estimated time limit on when to expect the prescription to be ready. So I came back an hour and a half later and a lady told me she was working on it and it would be 20 minutes. So I waited 30 minutes and back through the drive-through and I get the same rude gentleman who starts fussing at me telling me he didn’t text me and say it was ready. I told him that I spoke to a lady and he was so busy fussing at me I have no idea what he said. He seemed to be of Middle Eastern decent but I think that he is racist towards blacks. I asked him for my script back and he tossed them at me. I will never go here again for pharmacy related needs!!

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. The wait times via phone can last anywhere from 10 to minutes with no acknowledgement. When pharmacy staff answers the phones it's never with their name, just "pharmacy."
I understand they're busy, I get that staff is overwhelmed, but if you're so overwhelmed to where you can't answer the phone or are rude to callers due to the high stress, it's time to rebrand and regroup. It's unsafe, it's dangerous, and it's concerning at this point. There are articles published recently and they discuss the workload their staff is experiencing. It's truly time to transition from it being a numbers game to patient safety. Do better CVS. Please.

Anybody that fills their prescription…

Anybody that fills their prescription with them is nuts . 1st time I picked up my script for Lyrica I was told $720 . When I asked if it was on my Ins., she came back with $330. I told her I can get it cheaper on app Good Rx and then she came to me with a price of $100 . I got the exact script filled at Costco with Good Rx for $23 . I went from $720 to & $100 within 15 minutes . I have had CVS overcharge , and over price me several other times . I am a senior citizen & a cancer patient . I believe CVS are thief's , and should be closed . I always wondered why their stores never had too many customers or more the 2 or 3 employees . Now I know the retail store is only a front for legalized drug overcharging.

I would like to give a huge shout out to Delon, Mathew and Dria from the Schnucks Ladue Crossing CVS in Saint Louis, MO. They went above and beyond, spending countless hours on the phone with doctors and medical insurance to insure that our child had 6 months worth of Diabetic supplies, in order to study abroad. Their dedication and devotion to customer care is top notch! Thank you to these incredible people!

Store policy is to wear a mask. The pharmacies have some of the most at risk population coming into their business. On the 2 occasions that I shopped at the Black Mountain, NC store the employee at the register was wearing his under his nose, I had to check out through the pharmacy. Also I saw 2 stockers not wearing masks, shame on you CVS

Where is the common sense?

I still remember the good old days when registered pharmacists personally managed and filled prescriptions, rather than just supervising the activities of technicians and in some cases, auto-filling machines. Lately, it seems, I really miss those good old days and have developed a deeper appreciation for the skill of a pharmacist. For the second time in a row one of our maintenance medications was 'out of stock." When we arrived at drive through to pick up the med when promised, we were told it was still unavailable. By God's grace, I remembered that the drug is manufactured in several strengths, so I asked if all unit doses were out of stock, or just the one we needed. The pharmacy tech let us know that only that specific dose tablet was out of stock. Great to know! There's a work-around! So, we asked if we could have the prescription filled with another strength tablet in sufficient quantity to make up the dose. Fortunately, the pharmacy staff were willing to make the adjustment. How sad, though, that we as patients had to ask if there was another way to make up the dose! There once was a time when a pharmacist would be able to do that for a patient without having to be asked. There once was a time when a pharmacist would be concerned about a patient running out of a medication and would be able to think responsibly to be able to remedy the situation. Being able to do that would help the company, too - filling more prescriptions faster.

CVS sure does seem to want to have us patients fill prescriptions faster and seem to be using aggressive tactics to push that agenda. Long ago we opted out of auto-refills as well as automated messages by phone. I understand the need for the pharmacy to contact us by phone when there is a problem with a prescription, such as when a drug is unavailable. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from the pharmacy to inform me that I "hadn't refilled [name] prescription in a while" and asked if I wanted to fill it. That could be perceived as a courtesy call, if in fact there was a prescription that I hadn't gotten refilled and that I truly needed. The drug they called about was a new prescription for a p.r.n. ('as needed') medicine, that even if taken at the maximum permitted number of doses per week, the supply would not yet be exhausted. That was not a courtesy call that I received, but rather a stealth marketing call.
Here's the cruel irony. When someone is running short on medication and they try to obtain it a few days before the date the insurer says it can be filled, it's a song and a dance and a lot of begging to try to get the script filled. More often than not, those requests are denied, yet medications that are not immediately needed are pushed hard! When needed medications are out of stock, there is not nearly as much attention and energy placed on correcting the situation than there is spent on making a personal phone call to badger the patient to refill a different drug! Ugh!

CVS is overall a great company to shop and buy for. I shop at the 400 beech St. Holyoke, MA, and they seem to always have a great selection of all of their products. They also have extremely friendly staff, who will take anything, in return or exchange, even if you're just unhappy with it. However, that particular pharmacy isn't we'll stocked with the, over 7 different medication I take. That staff is also very kind, and helpful, with any prescription, that is in stock, and I need to pick up. Thank you beech St CVS! ❤️

They are available to take the money…

They are available to take the money but not to give the results. I took a covid test 4+ days ago. Told in writing and verbal 2-4 days to get results. No results. Call to local branch yields nothing and I'm given a number to call. 50 min on hold and i'm told i misunderstand, it's 5-7 days. I say no, i have 2-4 right here in writing. They just keep saying 5-7 using the old adage if you say it enough it becomes true. I ask to talk with management, they put me on hold and leave me there for an hour. I'm sure in their CS metrics they mark off a successful call. I have to cancel business plans for the weekend which will likely cost me thousands as i can't risk being with others not knowing. They don't care, they get paid, I get stiffed and they move on to fleece the next person. Promise one thing, deliver nothing or maybe something late. Change the promise after customer act on it, all OK in their book I guess. Boycott, lots of other places to go.

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. Get this, I finally succumb to their relentless requests for auto refill. Then when it's time to refill "automatically" they tell me that they are out of the medication, as if the need for a refill came out of the blue. I mean it's on "auto" refill.
What the hell?

I want to thank CVS pharmacy for spotting a prescription issue and telling me about it. The Pharmacist had taken the time to listen to a concern and told me to ask for a different "family" of prescription to avoid the hazard that I was worried about. I so appreciated this thoughtfulness because my ability to walk could have been affected without the recommendation. Thank you and thank you to the CVS CEO who has a great company running very well.

CVS pharmacy Lies!!

CVS pharmacy, this company will actually lie to you. I asked them why my prescription price was double. They total me prices go up. This was an out right lie, I found out the next day, that the prescription was written for five more days. So they charge me double the price. $47 is the right price for Insulin, 30 day supply. Charged me $94. Never gave me the opportunity to have the prescription re-written by my doctor. I have no money coming in because of the pandemic.
This is a very greedy greedy company, be very careful with them, they will not tell the truth. If you’re down they want to step on you. Also, you make a complaint with them and they do nothing to resolve it.

CVS Pharmacy NASTY Pharmacy Employees

CVS Pharmacy at 1329 Kempsville Road Chesapeake, VA 23320
For a very long time, I have been dealing with Rite Aid Pharmacy. I cannot say anything bad about the Rite Aid Pharmacy; the Pharmacy Staff are all helpful, polite, pleasing and courteous. I decided to switch to CVS since my eighty eight year old Uncle stayed with me since January 2020 for a planned vacation. He is stuck here in the State of Virgina because of the pandemic. Since his prescriptions are from CVS, I decided to move my prescriptions to CVS: BIG MISTAKE.
Since January of 2020, my has been picking up medications for my Uncle and I. She has been complaining to me that the Pharmacy Staff are NOT FRIENDLY, snotty, and sometimes RUDE. I told her to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Today, April 13, 2020, at around 5:00 PM, I had a very bad experience with one of the staff and the pharmacist. I asked my wife to pick up the prescription while our kids and I are waiting inside the car. Ten minutes later, she came back and informed me that the 30 day prescription is $195.00. I told her that I presented them with a coupon that says pay $9.00 for a 90 day prescription.
I came back inside to return the medication. When I approached one of the staff, I told him about the coupon. He told me that it says “pay as low as $9.00 for a 90 day prescription”, depending on how much the insurance covers. I told him that I cannot “afford” the medication because it cost too much; actually, I should have said “I cannot justify $2,400.00” for one prescription in one year. He then said, he cannot take back the prescription once it has been bought. He started telling me to “read the fine prints on any coupons that I use.” I told him that I need to talk the pharmacist. The female pharmacist came by and told me that I cannot afford the medication. I heard the same speech from her telling me that CVS cannot take back the medication. She also said that the receipt states “Prescriptions Cannot Be Returned.” You staff and pharmacist need to be educated because the receipt states “Some States Prohibits the Return of Medications.” With a nasty attitude, she told me “Don’t Buy The Medication if you cannot afford it.”
You, CVS Pharmacy, should train your employee to be polite, helpful, pleasing, and courteous to the customers. Without customers, you will be out of business. A lot of people believes that “Customer is Always Right”; I do not believe that because some customers could be hard to deal with.
I am an educated man and have a Bachelor’s Degree. I have been working as an Information Technology Professional for over 30 years. I make pretty good money and can afford to buy what I need. Can I afford the $2,400.00 medication? Yes I can. Do I need it? No. There are other alternative medications I can use.
Your staff can get Customer Service Ethics from the staff of Rite Aid Pharmacy.

I love the CVS on Mahoning Ave in Youngstown!!!…

These people writing reviews on CVS's coupons being a scam are just too stupid to know how to use them. I shop at CVS all the time for their great service and their coupons and extra bucks. I save tons of money and never had a problem. Maybe some of you need to go back to high school!
