Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service. I ordered 8 cricket balls from them on 10th March 2025. My shipment was not shipped for 2 days even when I payed the shipping fee. Up on contacting them, they informed me that 2 of the balls are out of stock and that I need to wait 2 more days. After 2 days they got back to me saying, I would need to wait a week more for them to restock. I asked them to dispatch the 6 balls that are in stock 1st and then send the 2 other balls once they become available. They did the same, up the arrival of 1st shipment with 6 balls, 2 out of them are of in correct size ( I ordered senior 156g balls but received junior balls) when I contacted them they have sent me a return label in email. I have politely requested them to send me the return label along with the 2nd shipment they anyway need to send me the next week. I have requested them through email and phone as I do not have access to printer and also the post office in my neighbourhood doesn't do the printing. They blatantly said it's not their fault and that it is my fault of not securing and print and they dod not send me the label in the 2nd shipment. I dialled them and asked them as a business, did they not even have a printer and if they have a printer can they not offer a print to make customer life easy? They admitted that they have a printer and that it is not their job to send a label. I dod not ask them to send the label in a separate post, all I asked is to pop the label in the consignment that I am receiving any way. They denied and are adamant. As a customer, all I expect is a proper customer service, after all it is their fault to send the wrong sized balls in 1st place. I ahvevtalked all this process through a person named Tina. I am utterly disappointed with the pathetic customer service. Thisnis ny 3rd order with cricket direct and I am not ordering with them anymore. They also misguided me that the label can be scanned in post office, I went around 2 post offices that said this label is different from the bar code that they usually scan and would print the label.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Tried to exchange cricket shoes as they were too small. New cricket shoes never arrived. I am still waiting for a refund.
Avoid this company.

Useless company, with no customer service, order will be late and wrong AVOID

Terrible company, uses AI as customer service which just lies to you. Firstly they didn't have the item i ordered so gave me a replacement, then promised me it would be delivered by Friday, 8 days after i initally ordered. It is now Monday 11 days after ordering and I have still not recieved said item. I will be returning the item and never using this company again, I advice everyone avoid at all cost.

CA bat’s edge damaged after just 10mins of batting practice (order number:CD0000120911)

I bought CA 10000 from cricket direct. But the bat damaged after just my first session . The edge damaged. I emailed them with pictures and return the item. But they refused to proceed refund after delaying for 6 days. They told me to carry on with the damaged bat. Never going to order from them and also I will suggest my team mate not to order from them. Do not waste you time by ordering from them

Absolute worst service.

Absolute worst service.. 1 - 2 day delivery stated, 2 weeks later nothing, now my son does not get any gifts on his birthday... Absolutely pathetic. Customer service are utterly rude and I would steer well clear of them...

Never got what I paid for - NEVER BUY FROM CRICKETDIRECT

I placed an order on Christmas Day but did not receive a confirmation of purchase. After waiting, I reached out on January 2nd and was informed that the company was closed for the holiday season. While this is understandable, there was no notice of this closure on their website or social media channels. They assured me that my order would be processed within 24 to 48 hours, but I only received a shipment confirmation five days later. The package arrived late, and upon opening it, I discovered that one of the items I ordered was missing.

The package was unopened, and the weight matched the shipment weight from FedEx, indicating that the item could not have been stolen during transit. Despite contacting the company, they offered no support and insisted that all items were packaged, suggesting the item was taken during shipment. Their story kept changing, and they were of no help. I will never do business with this company again and will advise others to avoid them as well. They failed to deliver what I paid for, never offered to ship what they didn't, and did not provide me with a refund for my missing item.

I ordered a birthday present for my…

I ordered a birthday present for my grandson and the projected delivery would have made it uncertain that the goods would arrive in time. I made chatbot contact with the company and they were courteous and made a big effort to expedite delivery. The goods arrived in time!

⚠️ Avoid at any cost ⚠️

⚠️ Do not buy from these people no matter how cheap a deal you are getting. They will take your money and will not answer the phone or respond to the emails. They will tell you lies after lies when they do answer phone. I purchased pair of shoes before Christmas . After multiple lies that it’s on the way I had to cancel the order after new year. I was told DX Picked them on Friday and gave me a tracking number . Following Thursday I was told DX still got my shoes so I cancelled my order. With in 5 mins after cancellation she told me shoes now won’t be delivered because they are back in the store. They never left the store and they kept telling me lies as well as generated a fake tracking number. These people are a scam.

Shambolic administration/customer service

I sent for a bat, mallet, and bottle of oil. The package arrived, saturated in oil, because the thin plastic bottle, which was loose at the bottom of the parcel, had shattered completely. I took photographs of the package, but it took two emails, followed several days later by a telephone call (to a person who sounded about 12 and had difficulty with English), followed by another email, to receive a replacement (equally badly packed/protected), bottle of oil. They assured me a bottle of oil would be with me that day - surprise, surprise, it wasn't. In fact they hadn't even dispatched it at that point.
Today I happened to look back at my email history and noticed I had had trouble with this company in 2022, when trying to buy a cricket bat for another grandson. Unfortunately, my memory hadn't clicked in to gear and so I ordered, two years later, from the same company with same diabolical and shambolic customer services/admin. team. In fact, I don't think there is a 'team' as such - just anybody they can rope in to man a telephone occasionally. Be warned.

Never use this company

Worst company and customer service ever.

They sent out damaged and wrong goods after long initial delay, battered packaging not reusable, ignored attempts to contact them, would not answer questions about steps for redress. NEVER EVER USE THIS DREADFULL COMPANY WHO WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SEND ANY OLD THING IN DAMAGED PACKAGING.

Terrible customer service

I was sent the wrong item. I sent this back at my expense for a replacement. After 3 weeks I chased this up. On more than one occasion I was told the replacement gloves were being sent out immediately. Now 3 months later, after chasing repeatedly, I am told they are not in stock and they are waiting for a delivery. This was not communicated in any way before now. They take an age to answer emails and customer service seem to be unable to help in any way. With some good alternatives out there I would recommend avoiding this company. I should have read the reviews before using them. The fact they hide Google reviews is another red flag.

Ordered a Gray Nicolls powerspot

Ordered a Gray Nicolls powerspot , the bat arrived very quickly and well packed.
The quality of the bat is excellent and the price was the cheapest on the internet.
I have read some of the bad reviews and it’s as though i was dealing with a different company.

Awful company with terrible quality of…

Awful company with terrible quality of products and customer service. Got a lot bag couple of months bag a wheelie one which was torn off. When checked for replacement, was told to send it to the for further inspection despite sending them photos. Finally we had to pay 15£ to send it back only to be told them it’s wear and tear. Customer service is useless. Will never recommend them to anyone. Pls be aware of this fraudulent company

Extremely Disappointing

Current active complaint:

- Incorrect product sent originally (cricket ball)
- Exchanged LH pads for RH pads
- Delays in responses to emails
- Delays in sending second set of pads
- Incorrect product sent again (wrong size pads this time)
- £6.35 costs in shipping to receive wrong order twice
- No consideration to impact to customer given the delays experienced at the fault of Cricket Direct
