No Order. No Comms. No Refund!

Ordered a bat, bag and pads a week before needing them, based on the 1-2 business days shipping time. I figured, even if a few days late, it would still be okay.
No word from them for six days. Called to find out what was happening and they said they didn't have any in their warehouse and would have to get them from another.
I cancelled my order there and then and received an email from "Madusha" stating I would receive a refund in 5-7 days.
Received a further email on the 7th day saying my order had been refunded but no payment has been sent yet!!!
Call today to hear that my refund had been processed apparently on the 6th (not when I was told it had been, on the 30th) and I need to wait 2-5 days to receive it in my bank!
The telephone number may be a UK one but it is being redirected abroad and they have no visibility of the warehouse situation at all.

Please don't ignore other reviews - this company are a joke. Be aware CricketBatsDirect is the SAME company

I ordered a cricket bag from CricketBatsDirect. Please be very aware they are the SAME company as CricketDirect (a company I thought I was avoiding).

The item was dispatched apparently but every day the courier "is unable to access the address". But they never ring the doorbell and they never leave a card. I asked the courier ("DX") to deliver to another address and identical problem. They never ring the doorbell. I am convinced they aren't delivering the item.

In any case, this is CricketBatsDirect's problem. But they ignore every email you send them. I just want the goods returned now and my money back but I will have to raise a section 75 claim, thank goodness I bought this item on a credit card.

Please AVOID this company at all costs and any other company, be sure to check if they are based at:

5 Metro Center, Ronsons Way, St Albans Road, Sandridge, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL4 9QT

If they are, they are the same company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Long delivery and poor customer service

Waited 4.5 days without seeing any notification of the order being shipped, so contacted customer services. Was abruptly told that it's 2-5 days for processing. Waited until 8 days, still no notification. Was then told there's been problems with getting shipments. No apology or contrition. So have cancelled my order and went elsewhere.

Refusing to refund returned item

They claim to have not received my returned item (New Balance Cricket Spikes). Returned to them via Royal Mail 2nd Class. Therefore unwilling to refund.

Briefly considered the possibility that they were lost in transit by Royal Mail - but having now read they hundreds of 1 star reviews on here I find that highly unlikely.

My advice is avoid at all costs.

Really poor service, had to cancel my order due to lead time.

If you want anything within a reasonable time frame I wouldn't bother with Cricketdirect.

Appalling customer service from start…

Appalling customer service from start to finish. Emails ignored, phones not answered, delivery arrived well after the promised date, and when challenged they refused to acknowledge their own delays. They then expected me to pay to return the goods.

I would not recommend this company in any regard. There are far better suppliers out there. Extremely disappointing experience.

Unfulfilled order followed by a lie.

Ordered a pair of shoes and some trousers 10 days ago. One item had delivery of 1-2 days, the other was 2-5 days. Called after a week to be told it would be dispatched that day. It's now three days later and it's clear I was just lied to. If it's not in stock then tell me - don't just lie to me. I will not be using them ever again.

I never write reviews

I never write reviews, but this company is atrocious. Ordered in stock items, and nothing has showed up. Awful delaying tactics of not answering messages, or just saying they will get back to me. They never do. Weeks of chasing, they still have my money, and haven't issued any refunds.
Having to pursue via the credit card company.

Avoid Cricket Direct At All Cost

I ordered some cricket shoes on the 23/3/26 and they did not fit.
On top of paying for delivery in the first place I also had to pay to return them.
I did not get any confirmation about the return being delivered to them or when the refund would be issued. I had to email them to find out. This was on the 10/4/26 when the shoes had actually been delivered on the 2/4/26 according to Evri.
I was told on the 10/4/26 that the refund would be issued in 2 to 3 days.
The refund was eventually paid on the 18/4/26 over 2 weeks after the shoes were delivered to them.
Cricket Direct are a joke of a company, selling clothing online that are often not going to fit and not having a proper system in place to deal with return/refunds.
Looking at other reviews on Trustpilot I am not alone in giving a very poor review.
Please avoid Cricket Direct at all cost.

🚨AVOID🚨

🚨AVOID🚨
Only gave 1 star as that’s the least it would let me do…..

I ordered cricket shoes back in November for my partner, they came and very small to size so contacted them to return and explain I’d been in hospital with a brain tumour diagnosis so agreed for me to return late this cost me £8.60 for them to then tell me they didn’t have the size in stock as due to missing refund date I had to have a e-voucher, we’ve then reordered a diff pair using the voucher and paying extra to cover the cost this was April 10th knowing he needs these this weekend, as still not received today and ringing 4 times as well as leaving messages I then emailed to get a reply saying the shoes are now out of stock and sent a alternative

I responded agreeing to these and asking for refund not evoucher for the diff as cheaper I also stated my experience and all my concerns and asked that if these could not be answered then can I be directed in msking s formal complaint

I got a reply to which read “ thank you these are now dispatched and a refund for amount a be sent”

I then asked for a follow up on my concerns so they replied asking my original ref number then replied saying you had a e-voucher sent which I stated that in my concerns and what I was disappointed with was there was no correspondence regarding the shoes being out of stock and no reply to my concerns

I’d never use this site again nor would I recommend it as this has caused alot of stress on top of my health issues

Go to Amazon prime same prices faster delivery and a lot less hassle!!!

6-day delay to report a "stock error" – No gesture of goodwill.

Very disappointed with the service. I purchased an item that was listed as in stock, only to be told nearly a week later that neither the shop nor the manufacturer had the item. While they admitted the error was on their end, they refused to offer any discount or price-match on an alternative pair.

Holding a customer's funds for 6 days and then providing short, dismissive customer service when challenged is not how a specialist retailer should operate. Make sure to double-check their "live" stock before you buy, as the website clearly isn't accurate. Still waiting for confirmation of my refund.

They were extremely quick at replying to say they don't offer discounts but are extremely slow at replying when asking about my refund. Strange that.

Unsealed bat delivery followed by poor customer service ( 99% online)

I had a very frustrating experience with Cricket Direct and would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from them.

My order involved an expensive cricket bat that was delivered in a clearly tampered and open package. Even the delivery photos supported this, yet when I raised the issue, the courier driver was rude, dismissive, and even accused me of opening the package myself. To make matters worse, the DPD driver eventually took the bat back, but failed to update the system to reflect it as a return, which only added to the confusion and delay and neither Cricketdirect or DPD has shown any intent to figure out its location..

That alone was unacceptable—but the real problem was how Cricket Direct handled the situation.

Despite repeated emails and calls (over 30 calls with no response), their customer service team showed zero urgency. I was left chasing both them and DPD just to get basic action taken. DPD clearly stated that a formal complaint needed to be raised by Cricket Direct for any investigation to proceed—but Cricket Direct refused to do this via phone and hid behind “internal processes” instead.

What’s worse is that they wouldn’t provide any complaint reference number, nor would they issue a refund or replacement while the courier investigation was pending—even though I had an urgent deadline. Their responses felt like copy-paste templates with no real intention to resolve the issue quickly.

My experience is, unfortunately, no different from the overall reviews shared by other customers, which points to a consistent pattern of poor service and lack of accountability.

In short:

* Damaged/tampered delivery
* Rude courier interaction
* Return not logged properly by courier
* Extremely poor communication
* No accountability or ownership
* Refusal to expedite a simple complaint process
* No refund despite clear issues

For a company that claims to sell premium cricket gear, the after-sales service is shockingly poor. If something goes wrong with your order, don’t expect timely support or resolution.

I won’t be ordering from Cricket Direct again.

I bought a pair of Masuri WK gloves in…

I bought a pair of Masuri WK gloves in January, used them 6 times and the webbing ripped. Cricket Direct have said they wont replace them becuase the manufacturer have said 'they have never had a pair of WK gloves rip when only a few months old'. Wether Cricket Direct actually contacted Masuri I dont know, but the fact that they arent pushing to do anything about it is nonsense. I play for a club with circa 200 members and ill be making sure that no one uses Cricket Direct for anything in the future

AVOID

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Atrocious customer service. Very expensive bat broke shortly after it arrived and before a match had even been played. They take no responsibility. Do not purchase from this supplier, far better and more honourable cricket shops around, who care about the customer and their reputation as a supplier of expensive cricket bats. This place is nothing short of back street job.

These guys are very poor in customer…

These guys are very poor in customer service. Goods apparently sent on the 26th March on a 48hrs tracked Royal Mail service and it is planned to arrive on the 8th April! Asked for the shipping cost to be refunded because they can claim it back from the Royal Mail and the answer was … in short …. no. Don’t trust this supplier .. they are in it for themselves…. No wonder they get such a bad review rating. Buy at your own peril… we will never send a penny with them again.

Can’t complain

I ordered a bat, balls and wickets from them. Ordered on Sunday. Did not receive any communication apart from order confirmation. Looked at all the bad reviews and thought it was a scam. I emailed them on Thursday night about order update. Got a reply Friday morning with a tracking number. Goods arrived that afternoon. All excellent quality and exactly as described.

GN Havoc Test Bat

I just wanted to leave a quick review to say how pleased I am with the service from Tina at Cricket Direct Ltd.

My order arrived today and I couldn’t be happier. The bat and bag are both excellent quality and exactly as described. The whole process from ordering to delivery was smooth and efficient, and Tina was extremely helpful and professional throughout.

It’s great to deal with a company that clearly values customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Cricket Direct again and highly recommend them to other cricketers.

Thanks again, Tina!
