Avoid if you can as service is not great and not sure if they still have the policy of not refunding full amount

***Update to my last review***
They have refunded the postage charge which was paid by me. It shouldn't have to come to this stage where i have to send them 3-4 emails and phone calls, to which they refuse to acknowledge that they are not the one who are paying for delivery and returns. Anyway, it is sorted now, hence i am changing my review to 3 stars!

Avoid these crooks on all cost. Fist of all, very slow at processing orders and returns.
Secondly, they charge for delivery, which basically means you have to pay return charges if the items is not what you like it to be(specially you are buying shoes as they may not fit perfectly). They dont refund in full, that is, shipping charges! they happily sit on others shipping charges, making people pay for delivery and retunes. Avoid these crooks, they may be in business but you know how many types of crooks are in business! If there was a zero star, i would give that to them! there is a reason they have 1 and half star rating here at trust pilot!

They are legit ...... just not great.

I placed an order for pads, thigh pad and bag and chose them as they had what I wanted and had the best price. Having recently ordered an electrical item from a website that was a proper scam site I read the reviews for Cricketdirect and had a sinking feeling I had repeated my mistake.

I therefore decided to call and was please to be answered and given information that allayed my fears. The next day however I was told the pads were not available but the rest was being sent. I said they could either refund the postage or cancel the order. They provided a refund for pads and postage and ultimately I am happy with the outcome. As the title says ..... they are legitimate just not very good!

Cannot trust them

I received my order from them, but communication is poor and am so lucky that it was only £6.00 that I spent and not more, so it doesn’t really matter if the item is fake, but I was horrified that a guy had spent over £200 on a bat and didn’t get what he expected. Shocking that they are still trading in my opinion after such poor reviews.
I don’t think I would trust them with any other orders. I’d avoid if I were you.

First and last time to purchase from…

First and last time to purchase from this company. Encountering a clear fault on a £250+ bat on only its second use, how any bat should be used. I was returned with condescending and patronising customer service response, failing to offer any support or take any accountability. If you encounter an issue, which the likelihood is you will, do not expect for it to be dealt with or even entertained.

We have raised a complaint with the bank. A complete lack of customer care alongside a substandard product. Shop for your cricket items elsewhere.

Worried after reading reviews but…

Worried after reading reviews but actually very good service. Cricket bat ordered and delivered. Bat face split soon after. They collected and assessed damage and replaced bat promptly. However now the replacement bat has cracked as well. I'm very concerned about the quality of their products.

Terrible customer service

I placed an order 28th April, it was taking so long I sent multiple emails cancelling which were ignored. I called numerous times but got no answer. When I finally spoke to someone on the phone I asked for order to not be sent but it was still sent. It finally arrived on 10th May.
I returned the order (which they did agree to pay for at least) on 13th May. By 26th May I still had no refund and chased up to be told it was in a backlog and may take up to 10 days.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Placed order in April with 2-3 day delivery stated order but still not arrived. No replies to emails, no response to phone calls. Refund request ignored.

Fake. Do not use

COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT DO NOT USE.

Would give 0 stars but not an option. Ordered on 28 April (shoes, wk gloves etc). Got auto email saying 2-5 days. Nothing. Phoned, could only get through to auto response which then hangs up when you select an option.

Emailed several times. No response until their server rejected my emails.

Eventually Phoned bank for a charge back. Got an email next day (18 may) saying order cancelled but nothing else - no confirmation of refund and no refund! Will be chasing bank again.

COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT DO NOT USE. Wish I'd checked this before ordering. Back to Morrants website it is for me. lesson learned 😕

I got a refund!

I had some cricket shoes to return and tried to contact the company when i couldn’t find a returns label. I sent an email - no reply, I phoned and managed to get through, the man said they would email me a returns label but I received nothing. After reading the poor reviews I decided to return the shoes by registered post. Well to my surprise 2 days later my PayPal account was refunded! Just thought I would share as reading the previous reviews I really thought I wouldn’t get a refund.

Do not order through this website

Do not order through this website. I wish I had checked reviews before ordering. Total waste of time. Placed order for ‘in stock’ gear. Website claims uk order to be received 3-4 days. Order confirmation states email to be sent on dispatch. Week later no email so no dispatch. Contacted customer services twice. No reply. Thankfully purchased through PayPal and raised complaint and requested refund. Total waste of time. Son needed gear for a match. Bought from a local sports shop at similar prices. An online shop only works if you receive orders when stated and communication with customer if there is an issue or delay.

Avoid ordering from cricket direct

I ordered a cricket helmet 3 weeks ago. Money taken from account immediately but no contact from them since despite me sending them several e-mails and calling them many times each day. They don’t pick-up. I paid a visit to their warehouse and after repeatedly knocking on the door they finally answered and said they’d notify me when they had it in stock. They had no
Idea when this would be. They were very rude and said they didn’t have time to respond to people. They wouldn’t issue a refund.
After reading other reviews i complained to my bank and got a refund.
Dreadful company- they own all the direct websites- cricket direct, hockey director, running direct etc
Advise to steer well clear of them!

Still no refund

Still no refund. Thankfully I paid by Credit Card so going to get them to charge back.
AVOID THIS BUNCH OF COWBOYS AT ALL COSTS. I SUSPECT THEY’RE GOING BUST AND FLEECING US ALL. LUCKILY THEY CAN’T SPEND OUR MONEY ON EXPENSIVE HOLIDAYS FOR NOW.

Wrong size trousers delivered after long wait!

I ordered a pair of cricket trousers in XL per their size guide (and an existing pair) - they have sent a pair of 4XL which are tent like and completely useless.
First time using them - a disaster so far -long wait, no information, wrong goods when finally delivered - awaiting their response today. Not holding my breath.

Order an MRF Grand Edition 2.0

Order an MRF Grand Edition 2.0 - 15-16 grains, legit stickers and nice ping also the MRF black print on the
edges meaning a legit bat. Also ordered a grip and it came within 4 days. The bat has a small mark into the back but not going to kill anyone cause there is a small dent. TBH they don't pick up calls and say their shut and didn't reply to an email but the product is good.

Completely immoral

Completely immoral. I placed an order on 3rd April (2-3 days delivery stated) I wrote on several occasions, called the premises over 50 times with no response, wrote further to cancel the order and demanded a refund ( I went with another company who fulfilled the order (over £350) on a next day basis. I wrote again to state I was going to take small claims action (no response). No refund or even the courtesy of a reply. Today, over 5 weeks later a I have received a parcel which is missing over £130 worth of the order. Biggest cowboys I have ever dealt with in over 30 years of league cricket. I advise anyone to steer clear of this company. Jokers!
