Watch out for the hidden catches
What seemed to be a good deal turned out to not be so. Covered to go send a very reasonable quote for renewal, but when you try to renew, you are told they won't accept renewal without you completing a medical questionnaire, for which they charge a premium, making the total price higher than most of the other quotes, by which time you are already committed to purchase.

We are sorry to hear that the additional premium required to cover your pre-existing medical conditions was unexpected.
In line with our policy wording and detailed within the renewal invitation, customers are required to declare any medical conditions for which they have received treatment, advice, or medication within the last 12 months to our medical screening provider, Millstream. If no such conditions apply, a medical declaration is not required.
The premium initially quoted for the main policy does not include cover for pre-existing medical conditions. The medical declaration is a separate endorsement , which runs alongside the main policy to provide full coverage. Any additional premiums required for your medical screening are to be paid directly to Millstream and are separate from the cost of the main policy.
If you purchase the main policy prior to completing the Medical Declaration, we do have a 14-day cooling-off period in which you are entitled to a full refund if you find that the policy does not meet your needs or the Medical Screening premium is too high, provided that there have been no claims made on the policy and that you have not yet travelled.
We are sorry to learn that you felt committed to purchasing the policy before being fully aware of any additional costs for the medical screening. Your feedback is valuable and helps us to continually review how we communicate this information to customers.

Great quality ski cover and easy to apply for
Very easy to apply. The best cover I’ve found for multi trip ski holidays. The link to the medical screening was also easy to use. Rang up to confirm something and they were very friendly and when you were on hold they gave you the option for a hold all back when it was your turn in the queue.

Although for some reason I could not pay online the person who took my payment over the phone was efficient and pleasant. Feel the insurance is comprehensive, perhaps pricier than others but gives good coverage.

Very easy and straight forward on the covered2Go website. But was confusing adding the medical cover, for someone of a certain age, not used to technology. I'm still not sure if I've done it correctly.

I bought my policy on Trustpilor
I had an issue which was resolved promptly so changed the score now to avoid impacting badly the overall rating. I've not had a claim yet, so can't comment on anything insurance related.

Very straightforward and staff very helpful. The only criticism is I couldn’t find anywhere to edit an incorrect date of birth so before purchasing I had to message a member of staff who edited the mistake very quickly

Excellent rapid service from enquiries dept.
I got an initial quote and within minutes I was offered a 10% deduction if I used the promotion code. I continued on line and booked and paid for the insurance, entering the code in the appropriate box. The discount was not deducted from the payment. I emailed the enquiries department and within an hour it was sorted and the 10% deduction was on its way back to my bank account. Please ensure that Gracie sees this.

Online submission was easy, but read the information carefully. We needed extra health cover which again was easy for our requirements. But be aware, you pay for the health insurance separately, so there were two separate payments to get full travel and health insurance.

Even easier to get cover than last year.
Renewal was about 8% more than last year and I thought this was acceptable as my wife and I are another year older!
The medical questionnaire was much simpler than last year with Millstream Underwriting. The premium for this was the same as last year funnily enough with no changes to conditions suffered.
