Costume Never Shipped Out
Purchase a costume over 2 weeks ago. They never mailed out my costume. I sent them an email to to inquire about my order and they responded 24 hours later stating they don’t know what happened and they were sending me a refund. No other option. No making this any better. No shipping me the costume. No overnighting me a costume. Nothing. Just a big fat too bad so sad we screwed you. Now I had to purchase the costume from another costume store, pay the overnight shipping, in order to have it here on time for our Disney trip— although I purchased my sons costume with ample time to avoid this issue.

I ordered 2 Halloween costumes recently for my 2 daughters and only 1 showed up. The packing slip and email said both were supposed to be inside the package and 1 was missing. I emailed the company twice about the missing costume and it’s been almost a week and NO RESPONSE. I won’t do business with this company again because of the horrific customer service and now I’m out the money I spent for nothing. Do not do business with this type of unprofessional crook of a company. I’m beyond mad about having money stolen from me.
9 Days Later….
I’m a huge collector of NECA action figures, and they recently rolled out what they call Haul-A-Thon. A lot of what was released were Target exclusives, whether in store or in Target’s website.
However, there were a few items available to order on this website (costumes.com).
The biggest selling items are the TMNT figures and Gargoyles.
I placed an order for a TMNT Set and a Gargoyle figure on April 4, 2022. Since then, I had seen a lot of complaints from people on Facebook saying their orders have been canceled.
Today, on April 13, 2022, 9 days after ordering, I checked the status of my order and it said it was canceled. No email. No notification. Needless to say, I was very upset and planned on emailing them about it once I got home.
Maybe, an hour or so, after I had noticed the cancelation, I got an email about the cancelation with a 30% off code for my next order. Aside from the figures I ordered, there isn’t much else on that website that is appealing to me to even use that coupon, nor am I trusting enough of this website to even deliver if I did.
I had never heard of this website before this Haul-A-Thom roll out, but figured since NECA was selling their products through their website, it would be trustworthy enough to do so. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
I don’t think I will ever place another order with them.
If I give a website a shot, and they do this with my very first order from them, they don’t get another shot. This isn’t how I expect a company that’s selling two of the top selling figures from NECA to conduct business.
I’m very displeased with how this all went down, and they have lost my trust and further business.
