Co-op Odiham

Co-op Odiham. Young lad behind the counter counting pennies, I asked for a bag to put my shopping in and completely ignored. When asked again he threw it on the floor in front of me. Terrible service once again.

Food is ok but online ordering process awful

I think the food is ok but I'm writing here about the awful online ordering website! When you log on it goes through two sets of showing photos to check you are a person not a bot. That's understandable but 15 minutes later it does it all again. Meanwhile if you search for items you get all sorts of random stuff. I searched for "cake" and got crisps as well. I searched for "coleslaw" and got humous. When I tried to check out it declined two sets of cards saying "something went wrong" but not telling me what. I finally managed to pay via Paypal. It didn't used to be this bad. Coop - fix it!

Coop Dover - Bad Shopping Experience with Unhelpful Staff!

Went into Co-op 'Crabble hill Dover', where I live, and have shopped for years now, only to be greeted with the usual lack of manners from an unfriendly staff member, and because I complained to her about the general attitude of most of the staff there, (they are always busy, but that's no excuse to be so unhelpful), I was told "why don't you try shopping somewhere else!"
This sums up my feelings about the place, when a member of staff, rather than trying to curb her awful attitude, would rather tell her customer to go elsewhere!!

Quite poor.

When you ask for a "Cheap bag" referring to the 20p carrier bags... The attendant decided to give me a 40p bag, and scan a barcode to make sure I paid extra for a bag I didn't ask for... On a self service checkout I cant delete items from. It's overall a poor establishment. Management need to focus less on pushing quota's, and focus more on realising they're providing a service. The staff are unfriendly, and it's obvious they're pushing incentives. Whoever is running the store clearly doesn't have a shop floor presence. They don't even sell Marmite.

Thick as planks.

I didn't recognise a Google transaction of £100. This was blocked and was told the card would be blocked for 24 hours. After 24 hours I couldn't make another transaction to Western Union phoned them up and was referred to the referral team. They said I had authorised the payment to Google a total lie. I told them to unblock the card and Google could have the £100 I didn't authorise.

Dismissive and law breaking shop

Disgusting, they are always breaking the law , they leave cages in the aisles , card board on the floor so you can tripped up , and has very serious health and safety issues, too expensive , the compliants team do not care, when you say something they blame the costumer , as someone with poor eye sight i can honestly say if you want some one to sue go there , also the staff will let costumers leave bikes in the way of products, and a scruffy staff member who works there stinks of smoking , will mot be going there from now on will be going to sainsburys , they should be ashamed of them selfs , also the layout is terrible.

6:40 on a Sunday morning at the delivery truck is already here. Waking up everyone with the beeping of the lorry and then banging of cages and sliding boxes across the floor. I’ve contacted head office with a picture but they ignored me, other neighbours have complained about the parking and people not using the spaces provided, I’ve even had vans and lorries block my window so I can’t see out. Terrible service considering the shop only opened a few months ago. Not considering your neighbours is a terrible way to behave especially so early on a Sunday

Over charging

Visited shortly after 5pm as it was getting busy.
The checkout assistant was doing an online order and stopped to take my goods.
I thought it was a little expensive but when I got home I discovered once I added up the cost, I was over charged by quite a lot.
Not much I can do as they don’t issue receipts.
As a retired person I feel taken advantage of by this apparently ethical business.
Not happy at being ripped off

Not impressed with home delivery…

Not impressed with home delivery service.

How can they not have any skimmed milk?! I ordered 4pts, if that size was not available, surely they could have offered 1pt or 2pts? Or even semi-skimmed?

The 'courier' did not advise that milk was out of stock, just said "thats what they handed to me, its not my fault".

I won't be using again if they cannot even supply the basics (I wasnt asking for cavier!).

Inconsistencies

They insist on taking a substitute product charge at the time of the order, but never once in the history of ordering with them have they substituted a missing item. Needless to say, I don't order delivery from them anymore

Coop Cwmbran

Friendly staff, good selection.
Would be so much better if followed 2 is a queue rule, by opening another til when more than 2 customers are waiting.
As many other stores do stick to this. It was 1 of the 1st things I was told on my 1st day working for the Coop.
It's great customer service when they get to have a chat whilst being served.
It's not though when customers are kept waiting for conversations to end before they can get served. Making people late, when should have been a quick easy in & out.
Everything other aspect no complaints.

What is happening to the CoOp organisation!

Concerned to read the reviews of the CoOp here and the behaviour of staff. Having just read the BBC news about the gaslighting of staff and poor executive decisions by the leader I am not surprised. Behaviour is modelled by leadership. As many customers are members of the Co op I am wondering why staff at the top are leaving in droves, why staff feel demoralised and what we can do as members to protect the ethos of this organisation.

Unmarkd Halal meat

Unmarkd Halal meat. All their meat is brutally religiously slaughtered. As a christian, eating meat that has been blessed in a religious sacrament is completely against my beliefs. Co Op is practicing religious discrimination against non Muslim customers.

DON'T ORDER ON-LINE WITH CO-OP FOOD !
Amongst other things I orders 2 Meal Deals costing £8.20, but on delivery the Co-op failed to include the actual sandwiches quoting Out-of-Stock, but they then charged me £7.60 for the drinks & snacks. I rang their customer services assuming they would refund me the over payment only to be told that it says in their T&Cs that they will charge the full amount for items if deals are not complete !
Well any company that stitches their customers up like that doesn't deserve my business anymore !

Visited coop tamworth off Ashby Road

Visited coop tamworth off Ashby Road. There was one female cashier on. I could see she was putting together a home delivery. At no time whilst she was behind the counter did she look at me to acknowledge I was there. She turned around to log in some details so her back was facing me. I don't mind waiting. But she refused just to acknowledge I was waiting. Her demeanor was very rude. She finally served me. There were self check ins, but I was having a particular bad day with my arthritis, so chose to be served. All she needed to do was look up, and tell me she would be with me in a minute. She deliberately chose not to, leaving me wondering if I was suppose to use the self scans. Just a nod to me would have been enough. Then I would know she knew I was there, although I'm sure she knew this. Don't like to give bad reviews, but just a bit a friendly nod was all that was needed.

Brundall Co-op and Post Office The Street Brundall Norwich.
I regularly visit the co- op store early evening and buy a few items,on this particular occasion I was in the store on Friday the 19th of December at 5.30 and was served at the checkout by a female assistant who prior to scanning my goods coughed heavily twice into her hand and then proceeded to handle my goods ,scan them and place as is usual on the counter ,God knows how many times she has done the same horrifically unhygienic procedure that day ,is it appropriate to have members of staff who are clearly ill serving customers and potentially spreading their virus ...needless to say the items I purchased went straight into the Bin.
Maybe a memo to co-op staff is required.

In the morning

In the morning, around 7:20 AM, I visited the Co-op in Ifield to buy some food. When I entered the store, there was no one on the shop floor. A staff member saw me but then went inside without acknowledging my presence. I repeatedly asked, "Is anyone here?" but received no response. I continued to say that I needed to pay.

After a while, the lady came back outside. She did not apologize for my wait and told me that I needed to wait, saying it was not her problem. Her demeanor was quite rude, and when I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. She told me to go away, displaying a very disrespectful attitude.
