Excellent customer service from initial contact to completion of the job. The Contact Solar system is exceeding expectations delivering great energy cost savings. The App is great too as it provides real time graphical energy flow data between the solar panels, the inverter, the batteries, the grid and my home. Post installation follow-up service has been excellent too, providing interactive tuition on how to make best use of the App and liaising with my energy provider to set up export to grid sale of electricity. I am really pleased with the system.

I was looking for solar panels, inverter and batteries installed. When asked few companies to quote it was one extreme to other, system size and price wise, all stating they are the best and so on. Being part of EDF, system offered and the price was great and also thought if something goes wrong it is a big company. All the initial processes from quote to ordering was great, waited for G99 approval and then the survey all done within no time but then did not receive installation date, as I had it to be installed before June, when I raised this, I was surprised by the response received, installation, scaffolding all booked in 1 day by a very helpful team member and well within June time scale. Even the managing director involved in assisting, which was very kind of him. Installation day arrives, three very friendly team arrived, explained everything, did a very high standard work, handed everything over and left site clean and tidy. What I liked about the installers are apart from very friendly and cheerful individuals, you don’t need to make them do or check them to see if they are cutting corners or so forth, they checked my opinion, suggested if there was better option. I am very happy with the installer, they did do everything to very high standard. Contact solar is highly recommended, they are very friendly bunch, quick to respond to your query and go above and beyond for what they can do. For the system, it is Aiko panels, Sunsynk hybrid inverter and batteries, they seem to work as it should including the Sunsynk app. It is very early days but I have good faith in contact solar. I will recommend contact solar to everyone from honest opinion and experience.

Have dealt with contact seller about 14 years ago with my original solar installation. It it seemed only natural to go back to them for a battery installation. Again top marks for the equipment and the installation. Only criticism is the time delay from the order to having the batteries installed was nearly 5 months. Other than that all was good.

This was one of the best experiences I have had having work done on our property. From the start talking to Louie and working out what we needed and getting us a good price. He also gave me good advice as to what to look for as I was getting quotes elsewhere. He was friendly and knowledgeable and never pressurised me to make a sale. Other companies I got quotes from seemed a bit dodgy in comparison. Everything went through well and it all happened as and when we were told it would. All the approvals were put in place and the survey completed. The scaffolding was erected very professionally followed by the installation that was done in one day. The guys who fitted it were brilliant and friendly. They talked me through what they were going to do and kept me informed as they went during the day. The system was up and running that day and is excellent. Many thanks to all the staff at Contact Solar that I delt with as they were professional and friendly. Louie and Ellie were the ones I dealt with the most but all were great. I would have no problem recommending getting a system fitted by Contact Solar.

The initial approach to Contact Solar was informative and professional. They explained the system and timetable from quote to install very clearly with no pressure. The price was very competitive with other companies as well as offering a discount for being an EDF customer. The installation went smoothly although I felt that the installer could have spent more time going over the operation of the controls.
I noted an issue with the system operation in the days following commissioning and got in touch with Contact. The installer came back promptly and found the CT transformer was positioned wrongly. This was corrected and all was well.
I noticed a small amount of roof verge damage after the installation and contacted Contact Solar who dealt with the issue. I believed it was caused by the scaffolders but it took some time to get agreement on how to proceed. This was completed to my satisfaction. I am very happy with the installation, hardware and operation of the system and it is delivering very good savings in electricity costs.
Overall Contact Solar were a very good company to deal with and provide a very professional service and I would have no issues recommending them.

Ok the experience was a bit lengthy for my taste eventually taking 27 weeks and it felt sometime we were going around in circles. However the team were helpful and professional credit to Andy, the survey was carried out and completed an Carl was very accommodating and helpful, scaffolding was erected without issue thanks to Ellie, installation was fast and professional, I will update should there be any issues. But currently the proof is In The pudding our energy consumption has dropped significantly, Thanks to Joanne for the efficient handover .

The pre installation was great, details and communication were excellent. The scaffording was errected quickly, installation happened in a day and a bit with the staff being courteous, communication was great and all aspects of the install was explained beforehand with the work taking place as promised and to the spec detailed on the quote. All staff from Contact Solar (pre sales, admin team, on site, post install) were professional and gave great personable customer service at all times, a brilliant experience and I would recommend Contact Solar and EDF wholeheartedly, hence I added this review.

This was the second house I installed solar panels on, first time with contact solar. I felt I had more control over the specification and positioning of the components than the first time. I was underwhelmed with the amount of battery backup the first time. Prices, technology and availability do vary over the years, so maybe at the time it was good option. Now, however, I wanted a large battery capacity.
The design of the layout went smoothly, price was acceptable. Time to actual installation was a bit long, but probably due to World events. The tracking of performance of the solar installation (via app) is good, I haven't tried the website version.
Very happy with the acquisition.

We had a very good experience with Contact Solar from initial enquiry through to installation and commissioning. The sales team took time with us to find the right system, the quote was competitive, Installers were very knowledgeable, helpful and flexible in location of our battery and gateway and the scaffolders respectful of our property.
We were EDF customers and the Contact Solar team handled the transition very well covering all the applications for moving on to an export tariff. Communication was very good throughout the process, keeping us informed of progress and responding quickly to any questions which we had. Overall a very good experience.

BLAMING IRAN WAR FOR 16 WEEK DELAY- WHAT A JOKE.

I placed an order for solar panels on 9th Jan 2026. Was told approx 6 weeks which would be 20th Feb, 16 weeks later and no panels I got an email from their Field Operations Manager stating ‘ I appreciate you have waited longer than you would have liked, but it’s partly to do with the Iran war’ in their words (which started 28th Feb). HAHA if they completed on time the war hadn’t of even started. Blaming 16 weeks for any reason is ridiculous, especially as I chased them at least 25 times, what a JOKE

Right from the beginning the person providing the quote took time to understand what I wanted and was very helpful during three conversations and subsequent revisions/alternatives. It was reassuring that I spoke to the same person each time.
The other companies from whom I received quotes all required up front deposits whereas Contact Solar required one single payment upon completion. This was a factor in my decision making because it removed any financial risk on part.
The installation team were very helpful in agreeing cable routes to minimise detrimental visual appearance. They installed 8 panels, 3 batteries and an inverter all in one day.
The handover team have acted very quickly with various documents and certificates and liaising with my electricity provider.

Plenty of information and updates received. All installed fine in time for the sunny weather, and generating loads of excess energy to sell back to the grid via their generous introductory tariff

Had our EDF / Solar Connect solar power system installed yesterday. It was a very positive experience, system installed exactly as quoted, surveyed and scheduled. Installation team were very friendly, polite and proficient, installation was very neat and the site left clean and tidy. Full installation - 13 panels on 2 roof planes, all wiring, battery and inverter installed, commissioned and integrated with existing power supply in around 8 hours. Well done! Very competitive pricing too!

The scaffolders and the solar system installers were very polite and knowledgeable. They got on with the job without involving us. Before they left they explained the system. One thing they didn't make clear and maybe I didn't ask is how much the network will pay and whether there is a limit to how much to export. Contact Solar have come back and clarified both points.
