Collier & Catchpole - small but great!
Collier & Catchpole - this small independent builder's merchant is a breath of fresh air for me.
After trading for a while with the Big firms such as Jew####/Travis Per#### etc, then the personable and efficient service at Colliers and Catchpole is very welcome.
With prices often cheaper than their larger rivals, the future looks bright.

Great service
In Colchester branch yesterday, dealt with Karl.. truly professional, fielded every question and super helpful in my decision making regarding block paving. Splitting my order into two different deliveries was no issue and my request for first drop off was clearly written in front of me. Top notch service… oh and the prices are really good too!

Was due to deliver on the Friday however the poor driver had an accident which we were informed about. They delivered the very next day with no problems at all. Courteous and polite driver

Ordered 2 bags of gravel
Ordered 2 bags of gravel. Both delivered early than planned but 1 was wrong. The driver came back the next day with the correct bag. Driver was superb. 4 out of 5 just because of the incorrect bag originally.

Some problems but dealt with.
I can’t give a 5 star review because my order was “missed” and I had to chase up on Saturday after the time limit for delivery had passed. I only live a few km from the store so was expecting fairly prompt delivery.
When I called to enquire they couldn’t even find my order number or name or address.
They called back later and said they would deliver Monday/Tuesday. This would have been too late as we needed it for the weekend.
Now I also can’t give a poor review because a very kind member of staff delivered my order in her own car after work on the Saturday. I was extremely grateful and the customer service was really good.
However, obviously I shouldn’t have had to chase up and she shouldn’t have had to do that in her own time so I can’t give a raving review.
