Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service: In the US at least, you get a reply back generally in a few hours, and once the ticket has been opened, it's not uncommon to get a reply back in under a half hour even though they're based I believe in Dublin, Ireland. The customer service is the primary reason I stick with them even though their fees are higher (they probably pay the employees more, hence the better CS). Also the web interface for buying bitcoin is super simple and easy. Verification is pretty straightforward: you just upload the required docs and it gets processed fairly quickly. For Level 1 trading it's faster. For levels 2 and 3 which have greatly higher limits, you simply provide financial documents proving income. They comply with KYC in the US so it's not a fly by night shady type of operation, nor have they had any scandals or issues with customer funds like some other exchanges have in 2023 (I'm looking at you Coinbase/FTX/Gemini/3 Arrows). In fact: THEY DON'T ACTUALLY EVER HOLD YOUR FUNDS AT ALL: When you buy bitcoin from them, you have to supply your own wallet (I use ZenGo): so as soon as your transaction finishes (generally 15-45m depending on if it's the weekend or weekday and time of day), it instantly goes right to your wallet. In fact, they don't even have a wallet, or the ability to retain or store your tokens: you have full control over that so there's zero chance you'll be stuck in a Gemini/FTX situation with your coins held hostage, since once the transaction finishes it instantly goes to your wallet of your choice.

Not a great experience but the customer service made up for that.
Had a account since last year and then was asked to verify again. Had numerous issues which went on for nearly a week!! It did feel painful at times but the customer service was second to none. Really helpful and responsive. Happy to say issues now resolved, so thank you. Especially Conor who went out of his way and followed up the case to insure it got fixed. Definitely recommend

They require you to take a selfie with “Coinmama” written on a piece of paper…
They require a selfie of yourself holding your ID and the word “Coinmama” on a piece of paper. Why do they need Coinmama written on this paper? The requirement should be to purposely confirm your identity with your photo/ID and validate it is you and nothing more. There is no reason that you should have to write “Coinmama” and submit it with your photo! This is a violation of your privacy and an attempt to advertise “Coinmama” with your picture! A horrible scenario to have you sign up for their service, and promote “Coinmama”. There are other exchanges to purchase cryptocurrency. I don’t feel comfortable submitting my photo on a piece of paper with a heading of “Coinmama” while holding a secure document identifying me. My drivers license advertised with Coinmama poses a threat to my security because once it is submitted to Coinmama it becomes their property to exploit however they want! Does Coinmama reserve advertising rights after this photo is submitted? How is this information utilized? Why do they require you to write Coinmama as part of the verification process? I have never encountered this in my 59 years of life submitting important documents to anyone! In my profession I have been required to submit fingerprints, photos and background information to confirm identity, never a selfie photo with the company name written on a piece of paper with my ID! After this nonsense I submitted my information to Coinbase a leader in cryptocurrency exchange. The sign up was easy and trustworthy. No required “selfie” holding a piece of paper displaying the company name and my drivers license! I know your Coinmama response to this evaluation will include a full analytical security and privacy statement.. which I feel is distrustful.

To abide by global and internal policies, we ask for a simple KYC requirements such as your ID and selfie with your Coinmama note. This is a very easy process and only takes 3 minutes to complete. We have nearly 4 million users who have completed the process and are now efficiently & securely buying coins with us.
It is vital to understand, these selfie requirements are no way meant to for advertisement purposes as you have mentioned in your review. Their only purpose is for secuity, nothing else.
If you do not feel comfortable uploading a picture online, that is totally your decision. Please do some research and find out what KYC regulations are in place and from there chose an exchange best suited to you.
Sadly our verification team has deemed your account unsuitable for purchases seeing as you have not uploaded the correct documents & included provoative language in the documents you did upload. Please find another service to buy your coins.

I submitted my verification photo with my driver's license and a hand printed Coinmama and JUST BECAUSE IT WAS "hand printed " you come back to me and say that it wasn't good enough.
