BEWARE: CoinGate holds your funds hostage! Do not use.
I strongly advise against using CoinGate. I made a purchase of $6 USDT via an online shop that uses their gateway. The payment wasn't confirmed, and their support team was offline and unresponsive for over 24 hours.
When they finally replied, they flagged my $6 transaction as potential "money laundering." They issued an ultimatum: either I send them my sensitive personal ID and private data, or they will not refund the crypto I already sent.
This feels like a trap. They take the money first, then they ask for sensitive data you would never want to share, and if you refuse, they keep the funds. This is extortion, plain and simple. If they do this to even a fraction of their daily users, they are pocketing a massive amount of stolen money. Avoid this payment gateway at all costs.

The process overall went very well overall
The process overall went very well. There was only one glitch that prevented the first attempt to complete the transaction, but they corrected it immediately. I had to have the hold on the card I used for the transaction that was caused by the initial glitch - my credit card company did that very quickly. I was processing this transaction on a Saturday, so, being a weekend, I was a little doubtful about getting assistance via email. But, I received a response immediately and they continued to be there until the entire transaction successfully completed. All is well!

Very fraudelent business
Very fraudulent business, when it clearly states that they do underpaid payments meaning if the payment is NOT the exact dollar amount, they still send to merchant, this is false, and this company completely STOLE my funds. Do not trust, this business.
I sent another payment because I did not want to use my debit card online.Mind you this was a small payment 12.12, I paid the fee's which was 12.19 and i got a message it was underpaid in my email saying it was underpaid and needed to send an additional payment, which i did. Then the money credited to the online business was 11.07.. This company is a complete scam, DO NOT TRUST or use them.

If the exact required amount is received, the payment is forwarded to the merchant.

Once the refund form is filled out, the funds are returned to the refund address provided by the customer.

Late Bitcoin payment resolved perfectly thanks to support
I had a tricky situation: my BTC payment got stuck in the mempool and confirmed only after the 20-minute checkout address expired. The funds were held by CoinGate and the original invoice at the merchant was already closed.
The support team (especially Jurgita) was patient, responsive and stayed with me through the whole process. In the end everything was successfully resolved — the payment reached the merchant without me having to pay twice.
Not the fastest process (because of the expired address), but the team did everything correctly and professionally. I’m very happy with the final result.

Hidden fees not disclosed at the advertised price
Your instructions for the whole process was clear and straight to the point without any ambiguity like in the past. The one thing that was questionable was the pricing stated initially US$49. My final paid price was US$56+. I understand there was EU$ rate conversion but still there were some hidden fees not stated at the beginning.

After a lengthy review and numerous valid and official documents being transferred, we never heard back from the account manager Modestas. The process starts off like any other onboarding KYC but quickly realize shilled tactics and they never end up approving accounts despite all relevant documentation being provided.
Don't waste your time, we moved over to Cryptomus and got approved within 24 hours, integration with WHMCS is flawless at 1% commission rate accepting over 40 different coins.
