They don't care
Well, I always read about it but didn't think it would happen to me, but it did. After 2 and a half years of flawless data, 2184 approved submissions and 0 rejections, I randomly logged in one day to find myself "waitlisted" (aka banned) with no explanation. Don't bother messaging support, you get the same canned response everyone gets, as they don't even read the message. Up until I got put on the waitlist, I made about 2K here, so that's why they get 2 stars. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend devoting so much time and effort to a company that see's you as a temporary slave worker and will remove your income source with no provocation, warning, or explanation. They have 0 customer support other than their chatbot with the same handful of responses, and they will never remove you from this permanent waitlist. Prolific is leaps and bounds far superior, even swagbucks has consistently allowed me to generate thousands of dollars without having to worry about this issue. I wouldn't waste my time here had I imagined that I'd get banned for being a diligent worker.
What a hopeless and time waisting site
What a hopeless and time waisting site. Shame they exist. Your input always goes nowhere and one wonders why anyone would be bothered to waste giving their thoughtful input to such a site.

I'm giving the 2 for the ease of payments. I have been a participant for quite awhile, always give thoughtful answers and pay attention to the I'm surveys. 5 star rating. Then I log in, and it says im blocked for tos . I am absolutely positive i have not violated any tos, in fact, I hadn't been as active lately since i was working a lot. No message, no email, no contact, no answer yo email. I am highly disappointed.

I spent three months doing surveys that were low-income but helped top up the beer money. Suddenly, about 20 minutes after doing a survey, they shut down my account and put me on the waitlist. I also have $10 pending which I won't see now.
I emailed customer support, and they said they can shut you down whenever they like and take your pending money, and there is nothing you can do about it! Absolute scam. Avoid!

Add my name to the list of those kicked off and moved to a permanent "Waitlist" through no fault of my own. I was removed after participating in a multi-part study that was in communication with us outside of the platform and yet it acted like I didn't complete something on time in the platform. Next thing I know, I'm Waitlisted and all that the support will tell me is a whole lot of nothing. When I pointed out others had this same experience and that I hope they'll look into it, I was pretty much told to stop contacting them. It was nice for a short time, low paying but low effort mostly, but after that experience, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I had been participating in the surveys…
I had been participating in the surveys on this app for 2 years with barely any returned surveys, great feedback from researchers, and was making a good amount participating. I did a forecasting challenge that started about 2 weeks ago and all of a sudden received a WAITLISTED message saying I could no longer participate or take part in any surveys. I messaged Cloud Research and received an email stating they can terminate users at any point and do not have to explain why. Honestly, this rubs me the wrong way, especially after seeing this is happening to so many other people who have been on the app for years. I would be very cautious if I were a researcher wanting to use Cloud Reserach to conduct my surveys. They are pretty shady and not to be trusted.
Definitely recommend
I love CloudResearch and would recommend it to researchers and participants.
Suddenly waitlisted with no reason given
Was a great way to make some extra money and contribute to research, but after two years of doing projects for their Connect service I suddenly get waitlisted in the same way many others seem to have experienced despite having hundreds of projects completed with a good quality score. Received no explanation until I emailed their support team after which I received the same generic email that dozens of other (many well rated) users received confirming it’s a permanent change. I’m sure there are higher quality participants than me out there, but just disappointing to see as I’ve been on similar site Prolific for 7+ years with no problems.
Dream research tool
As a researcher, CloudResearch is an absolute dream. It's remarkable the company has been able to build such an intuitive, easy to use, efficient tool for reaching such a broad panel. They blow other survey companies out of the water. I compared them to SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, and bunch of other providers, and their features to cost ratio is just unbeatable. I've also participated in a handful of surveys to see what the participant experience was like, and they were great. CR is among my very favorite tools among the ones I've used so far for my project.

I was doing great for three weeks and a researcher accused me of being AI, which I am not, and was Waitelisted "canceled", by them without any reason provided. They can cancel you for asking questions or missing a question on a survey.
will waitlist you for no reason with a…
will waitlist you for no reason with a perfect history no rejections or issues then not even take the time to figure out the issue and just give you some auto response. so researchers beware since all the quality survey takers will be on other platforms and this site will be a revolving door with less quality survey takers
Waitlisted
Waitlisted for absolutely no reason after I politely messaged a researcher back about a returned survey, which they claimed hadn't been returned when it had. And now, boom, I cannot do anything anymore. They refuse to give information to you on why you were waitlisted, only:
"Please note that participation on our platform is not guaranteed indefinitely. We regularly review participant accounts to maintain the quality and integrity of the research conducted on our site.
After careful review, we regret to inform you that we can't grant you access to participate in surveys. We understand that this may be disappointing, and we deeply appreciate your willingness to engage with us.
Our eligibility criteria are determined by a combination of account details and data quality processes. Unfortunately, these decisions are final, and we are unable to provide additional specifics regarding this outcome.
We truly value your time, effort, and interest in being part of our community, and we thank you for your understanding.
No further information can be provided." Like, you should be required to tell people who help your platform and are perfect participants why you booted them. Shady, shady.
All I know if my $50+ that was in my pending funds, as well as the funds I'm getting from participating in a 2-week long study, where I'm emailed every day to complete a survey (still have a few more days left), better be released to me so I can withdraw it or else I'm getting legal involved and reporting to the IRS.

Not a good experience with this platform, a waste of time.
Better than Prolific but less work
Overall I would rate them a 5 but researchers tend to pay very slowly and they allow a bit too much leeway for researchers to exploit pay and rejections. I had one rejection that ignored my attempts to communicate with them. I reached out to support and within the hour they messaged the researcher to investigate and I got a response from the researcher ultimately removing the rejection.
There is not a ton of survey work that pays overall great like prolific but they have a much better interface compared to prolific and their site actually works 99% of the time unlike prolific. They also do not have greedy people snatching up all the work then returning it when they do not want to do it since they require being accepted and not auto accepted from anyone not using a gmail account like prolific does. They also have a rating system for users for time, fairness, experience, and compensation. Knowing the hourly rate and reviews of researchers goes a very long way in what I feel I want to spend my time on to maximize hourly wages. Prolific could learn a lot from them for their user rating system and UI.
Overall you probably wont make as much money like prolific, but if you use both platforms like I do it definitely adds to your total daily wages without the headache of prolific much larger platform that is either slow or down half the time.
Good until it's gone
I really enjoyed my short time on this platform and thought it would serve me well but after one month's of diligent work, I was waitlisted with no warning. I had an excellent rating on my Quality Score (5 star) and not one survey that was rejected by a client. After following up with support to see if there was glitch, I received the following ambiguous response: "Our eligibility criteria are determined by a combination of account details and data quality processes. Unfortunately, these decisions are final, and we are unable to provide additional specifics regarding this outcome." I would say take advantage while you can because they apparently don't value thoughtful and relevant feedback.
Very bad SCAM!
If I could give -stars I would-absolute scam-don't bother
If I could give -stars I would. Absolute garbage. Did their assessment and it looked like it was going well.
Got sent an email to create and verify my profile.
Created and verified my profile and upon logging in was given the message that I can't be granted access to any of their studies "at this time". Emailed support. They emailed me back saying that I am not a good fit based on my profile (which barely has any details about me) Banned me for no reason after creating the profile. Gave sketchy, generic answer as to why they can't give me access to studies. SCAM. Stay away-utter waste of time and effort.

Seems to ban participants without any reason. Basically they put you on a “waitlist” which is their gentle way of banning. If you’re happy to be at the mercy of shady researchers who will reject your studies left and right, this platform is for you

Banned my account and wouldn’t work with me. I reached out on Facebook and then ended up blocked the next day. I have sent multiple emails to be ignored by this company. I had to reach out to find out and lost a 7.50 study.
