I purchased city fibre/4th Utility over…EE

I purchased city fibre/4th Utility over the phone on a weekend. The installation was booked for the following Friday. The modem/rooter was delivered by tracked mail on Wednesday. I had regular texted to confirm the installation would be on Friday 8am-1pm. On Friday 12pm I had a text to say the engineer was arriving and was working in the street & would be with me soon. 10 minutes later the engineers arrived ready to test an existing line & install a new wall box. The whole install & setup was completed within an hour. Speed tested to 150mbs wireless and I was up & running with 1080p on YouTube videos via a wireless Roku ultra tv box & fast website downloads on a laptop tested at the same time. It has been faultless for the last 4 days. I am very happy with the the phone admin staff for offering the best deal for my address. Also the engineers that installed & checked it was 'as advertised ' with the wireless speed.

I recently had a new fibre service…

I recently had a new fibre service installed via Vodafone and the two engineers were next to useless, when drilling through the outside wall they made a huge mess and took a large area of plaster off the wall!

One of the guys had to go to B&Q to get some plaster which he applied with a piece of card as he had no other tool to smooth the plaster with, it looks horrendous which along with poorly fitted round white connection boxes which don’t sit flat on the wall, one of them because they drilled the hole to close to the door architrave!! It’s basic stuff really and a week after install I’m struggling to get it corrected… if I had a choice I wouldn’t use them again.

Had Aron and loyd setting up my new WiFi etc.. so pleased with the work such polite clean men was very reassuring as suffer with anziety and ptsd felt safe and calm !! Certainly recommend..

Incompetent staff

Incompetent staff, awful workmanship.
CityFibre working on behalf of Sky.
Couldn't be bothered to screw grommet to the wall, just shoved in the hole, loose.
Wire tacks left loose in the wall.
Wouldn't/couldn't install in the room requested, as a compromise agreed to a different room on the basis it was mounted in the corner of the room, found it mounted under window and told if I wanted it moved I'd have to damage the wire to stop it working to get someone else to come out an move it.
