I recently went on a City Cruises…

I recently went on a City Cruises experience and the staff was wonderful throughout the evening. Everyone was kind, professional, and the atmosphere was great. My only issue was with dinner service. My table for two never received our meal during the dining portion of the cruise. We waited, notified staff, and even left to dance before returning for dessert, but our dinner still hadn’t been served. It was eventually brought to us much later, and we had to take it to go.

I still appreciated the energy and hospitality of the staff, but I hope the dinner service can be more consistent so guests can fully enjoy the experience on board.

Celebrating My 65th Birthday

The cruise itself was great. I think the amount of money for tickets (purchased 15 tickets that were over $215 a piece - with tax and fees, almost $4,000. Asked about a discount or even military discount none for holiday cruises) we should have at least been able to specialize our food order. I celebrated my 65th birthday, would have been nice if people celebrating birthdays and anniversaries got served a special dessert of their choice. The crew was nice, just feel the meal could have been better-maybe the ability to place food order at the time of ticket purchase so the food crew can prepare. All and all we had a great time.

Cancelled the last boat back and didn't…

Cancelled the last boat back and didn't bother to tell anyone. Nobody replies to my messages. AVOID

My family and I travelled from the London Eye to the Tower earlier that afternoon using our 24-hour hop-on hop-off pass. Before boarding, we confirmed with staff that the last return boat from the Tower was at 17:15, and this was also announced over the tannoy during the journey. This was extremely important to us as my 6 year old boy is autistic and cannot cope with the crowds or noise of the Underground. 

We made sure to return to Tower Pier by 17:05, in good time for the final departure and stood in the rain with our 6 and 2 year old, only to discover at 17:30 that the last boat had been cancelled without any announcement or communication to passengers. This left us stranded, and as our 6 year old son cannot tolerate the noise and crowds of the Underground, our only option was to take a £29 Uber back, which cost more than the cruise pass itself.

We specifically booked City Cruises for the round trip to avoid such situations, so this cancellation caused significant stress and inconvenience, and meant we were only able to use half of the service we paid for.

I've contacted them about this and received no reply. Would not recommend.

Wonderful Experience on the Water

I had a great experience with City Cruises. The staff were friendly, the check-in process was smooth, and the views along the route were beautiful. The vessel was clean, comfortable, and well-managed. The commentary and onboard service added a nice touch to the overall trip. I would definitely recommend City Cruises to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable sightseeing experience.

Cancellation policy not specified in any documents nor on account

I booked my cruise on Nov. 21, 2025. I never saw any policies stating that I could not cancel at any time. I also did not see the insurance offering for being able to cancel 2 hours in advance the day of. I called today to try to cancel and was informed of this information today. I had my brother who was able to come from GA on the last minute to VA for Thanksgiving. (he is a pilot who flies ppl for Holidays) I needed to add to my party and online, it allowed me to be added to a waitlist. Why would it allow a waitlist option, if they know that ppl cannot cancel until 72 hours before and only those insured can cancel up to 2 hours in advance. I had called earlier to see about any cancellations and also was not informed of any of these policies till I called back the second time to cancel. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told no supervisor was available and that any such request was denied and that the phone agent had no ability to do a cancellation. I have no information in my booking nor in my emails that specify cancellations are not allowed and that money would not be given back for such a cancellation. I am highly upset and need a resolution or I will never be using a service such as this again.

Money well spent

They had great communication and service was amazing. It was better then I even expected. I would definately recommend it and even do it again myself. Food was delicious and portions were decent.

A Night To Remember

Celebrating my wife's 50th birthday aboard the Mojo boat was an experience that exceeded all expectations and set a new standard for memorable events.

I would like to express my appreciation to the staff for ensuring that the preparations went smoothly. In particular, I want to acknowledge Bree Westbrook, our initial sales contact, and Kevin Yee, our planning coordinator. Both were attentive throughout the process and made sure we had the best possible experience from start to finish.

From the moment we boarded, the crew demonstrated professionalism and genuine warmth, ensuring every guest felt welcomed and at ease. Mojo was immaculately maintained, offering both spacious and comfortable areas for relaxation and socializing. Every detail, from the clean deck to the elegantly arranged seating, reflected careful attention and pride in their service.

The food and beverage options were exceptional. Instead of the typical fare, we enjoyed thoughtfully curated platters with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Drinks were served promptly and the staff anticipated our needs with subtlety, allowing us to fully enjoy the occasion without interruption.

As we cruised along the water, it was clear how well the team balanced a relaxed atmosphere with efficient service. There was ample opportunity to enjoy music and take in scenic views. The transition from day to evening was seamless, enhanced by tasteful lighting, music and dancing.

Perhaps most impressive was how the Mojo team created an environment that encouraged genuine connection. The professionalism of the crew allowed me and my guests to enjoy every moment, knowing that all logistics were handled with care.

I would highly recommend the Mojo boat to anyone seeking an elevated, unforgettable celebration. The service, ambiance, and attention to detail made this birthday for my wife and guests a truly extraordinary and unforgettable one. Honestly, we didn't know what to expect but what we didn't want is a traditional birthday celebration and this was far from it.

You definitely know your birthday celebration was a hit and memorable one when your guests keep talking about it.

I recommend touring each vessel before reaching a final decision. We ultimately selected the Mojo, inviting 61 guests despite its capacity for 125. This allowed our guests plenty of space to move freely and helped create a more intimate atmosphere for the celebration.

This review is way over due

This review is way over due! My family and I had our first trip to Chicago July 4th weekend and we booked city cruises for my youngest daughters surprise proposal. The cruise staff from the event manager, the wait staff, photographer, DJ and the captain were a pivotal part of what turned out to be a wonderful day for my daughter and her new fiancé. The crew were not only extremely accommodating, but they were kind and and attentive to every detail. I could not have asked for a better crew and a more wonderful experience. The experience was great because of…

The experience was great because of Molly Kirkpatrick and her assistance. What the cruise appears to offer is very satisfactory for my group.

I throughly enjoyed my experience

I throughly enjoyed my experience, I just wish I knew the vessel had a private party upstairs prior to booking. It was my first time in Chicago and I wanted to see the city from the top deck while eating.

Not the best experience

We returned for another visit but we were seated very awkwardly behind the buffet. That made it so people were constantly passing over us with their plates & my fiancé had to constantly move up in his seat & duck down to avoid everyone as they got their food. Seems like they just put the table together last because they had no room for us elsewhere. Then the service was so slow as we had to remind our server to please come back to us as well. We just ordered from the bar.
