We always use Cicar. They are one of the few car hire companies that have no hidden extras. Also like their fuel policy i.e. replace what you've used rather than bring back 'empty'.

Very smooth experience, booked online on their website in a few easy steps. Full coverage and no deposit to worry about potential issues that will come up at drop off.
The car was in very good condition, great for uphills in Tenerife and we had no issues whatsoever.
Full tank at pick up, if you return it without a full tank they retain the petrol deposit (52 euros in our case).
The mobile app was handy as well to check on details, car was ready when we arrived and took 5 min from getting the keys to driving out if you paid in advance.
Very professional and reliable, recommend for rentals in the Canaries!

Very friendly team at Tenerife south airport. I had made a confusion with the pick-up place. The staff was very understanding. Furthermore, I had to bring the car earlier than originally scheduled (4 days Instead of 8). They refunded me half of the amount I had initially paid which I really appreciated.
The car in itself was good enough for 2 and very clean.

I have used Cicar for many many years and they have always been good, efficient and fuss free … I would recommend Cicar for all your trips to the Canaries.

Good price. Easy to collect and drop off. Good car. However the car was due a service so every time you turned the engine on a warning came up on the dashboard saying to check the oil and have the car serviced. This was extremely annoying. Took it back to Cicar on the first day and was told to ignore the warning signs!! !!

Returning the car was a nightmare! The escorting to another location was poorly organized and/or indicated.

Best rental company experience ever. Cheap, no extra insurances. Got the car in 5 minutes. Got the 35 euro deposit for gasoline back without any problems. Would definately choose this company again.

2 hour wait for car . Also returning the car was disorganised.Used many times before.Not again.Dont mind a bit of a wait but 2 hours after a long day travelling is too much.Would have been able to do my initial drive to accommodation mostly in daylight as planned but due to the ridiculous waiting time was not the case.Also the staff were pretty stressed , some staff were actually shouting at people in the downstairs car rental pickup point ( somewhat understandable but NOT GOOD as it's just too busy for amount of staff and size of operation at Gran Canaria airport).On my recent experience I would say it's a case of the company becoming too popular/busy for it's own good.

Cicar is by far and away the best and easiest car hire company to deal with in Fuerteventura. The staff are polite and courteous and always helpful and a bonus is that they also seem very happy to do so. Everything is included so you don't have to pay more for anything like insurances and Collision damage waivers etc. The cars are always good and modern and a good choice of sizes. Only downside is that because everyone now knows they are the best they are popular so you may get a queue although because the process is simple it goes quickly.
