A disorganised mess with the worst…
A disorganised mess with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They tried to EXTORT extra money out of me threatening to cancel my order if I did not.
I make my own wine for local establishments and thought I would try out a new supplier (Cibi Market) as they have Italian grapes. So, because the reviews for this place are few and far between and of the 3 I could find, one is 1* citing the customer service is bad. I wanted to make a smaller order before buying in bulk to assess quality. However, upon trying to order a crate of each variety, the shop wanted to charge £120! Which is shocking given I've had delicate garden statues which weigh hundreds of kg delivered for less than £40. After removing one item, I found the delivery had gone down to £60 and made the order.
After making the order I wrote to Cibi to ask about the extortionate postage costs and they said it was an error, and that I could add more grapes to my order without extra cost if I wanted to. Hesitant to do this because of facing problems already - I declined.
I then began to buy some new equipment to make smaller test batches, additives and other consumables which I would need and waited almost a week (at which point all the new equipment had arrived).
At this point, the promised delivery window for the first three lots of grapes was closing so I decided to message Cibi to check on my order. To my astonishment, they told me to pay an extra £60 in postage (stating that their costs were high - never mind that £60 was already extortionate) or have my order cancelled! I was horrified that I was being extorted extra postage on top of the already unreasonably high postage a week after I had made my order and ordered equipment especially for this purpose. I thought it may just be down to error but I even spoke to a member of staff after making my order (who offered for me to add extra items at no extra charge!) - who should have picked up on any problems. It's quite clear that this was a case of extorting me at the last minute to pressure me into paying more.
At this point, I had had enough. They are disorganised, dishonest and almost criminal if I'm totally honest. To add insult to injury, I now have to return £500 worth of equipment that I won't need.
Avoid this company like the bubonic plague!
