Total peace and relaxation.
We recently spent a few days at Red Kite Barn, what a wonderful place.
It’s probably the first break we’ve had that was a true ‘break’
A break from having to do anything, if you don’t want to, no shops, no people, no cars, no phone signal (you can use their Starlink internet if you just can’t handle it) and no stress.
If you really want to relax, get up when you want, eat when you want or pretty much just do nothing, this is the place.
We were lucky to have some beautiful weather and made use of the relaxing hot tub, with a beer or two of course. We enjoyed some walking and looking at the other accommodation available, which looked more rustic but great fun if you like to have a more ‘camping’ kind of feel.
All I would say is that the decking area could do with a little attention, which I have fed back and am assured it is being looked at.
So, would I go back? Absolutely, in fact I didn’t want to leave. Three days was enough to make me realise how amazing it is to get away from the noise of life. Even our 7 year old wasn’t bored, she played outside, named all the sheep and enjoyed feeding the pigs.
If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, in a barn that has all you need, then I would highly recommend looking at Red Kite Barn. We will definitely be going back.

We had a wonderful stay at Mor and…
We had a wonderful stay at Mor and More. It was the perfect setting for a family golden wedding celebration and we felt really lucky to be able to make memories in such a beautiful environment. David and Anjana were happy to answer any questions. We also enjoyed an amazing meal at the Links in Tenby. Thanks for a great stay!
Very Disappointing
My wife and I had a very disappointing long weekend at Mor and More 15 – 18 Feb 2025. Whilst I appreciate it was damp and gloomy when we arrived, the house looked unappealing, unlike the highly professional pictures on the website.
As an owner of two dogs, we immediately noticed that the garden was not secure, contrary to what is described. There is a large gap in the fence on the northern side of the property adjoining the farm.
The key safe was open with no key in it and the front door was locked. An email had been sent a couple of hours earlier advising us that the key would be hidden under a flowerpot outside the front door. However, we were already on route at the time so did not find the email until after our arrival. We eventually found the big sliding doors at the rear of the house unlocked and let ourselves in.
Two things quickly became apparent. Firstly, the house was very cold. The underfloor heating controller in the hall indicated 11.5C. The online manual detailed how we could change the central heating mode but not the temperature. We eventually worked out that the small/unlabelled cordless box on the kitchen windowsill was the thermostat. The underfloor heating was more of a challenge. The online manual described the location of the control panels but provided no detailed instructions. They are not intuitive. Thankfully I am quite technically minded and eventually worked out how to increase the temperature. We didn’t manage to get the house really warmed up until the following day. Secondly, there was a strong and very unpleasant smell of drains. We quickly identified the cause of the smell as the wetroom in the shared bathroom. The smell was sufficiently strong that we did not use this part of the house.
The Wi-Fi ID is not as detailed in the online manual and, contrary to the advice, does need a password. We eventually found a scrappy piece of paper on a windowsill with the correct details. Whilst the Childerness website describes the internet as ”only average”, the online manual says “We've recently upgraded our WiFi at Mor & More - you should be able to get a great experience throughout the home”. The former description is more accurate. Connectivity dropped out quite frequently and at times it was impossible to use Netflix.
Throughout or stay we were treading on small shards of broken glass on the kitchen floor which we struggled to hoover up as the vacuum cleaner does not work properly – there is a piece missing on the bottom of the head and the brush does not rotate as it should. There was a dirty broken cafetière on the kitchen windowsill complete with used coffee grounds.
The kitchen is not well equipped if the house is full. Whilst there are plenty of plates and glasses, mugs and cutlery are in short supply. We eventually found instructions for some of the appliances (most holiday properties have them all together in a folder) but sadly not for the range cooker. This is unfortunate as most of the markings on the cooker dials are worn off. A melted oven knob, and melted worktop edge to the right of the cooker, are concerning.
Clearly a lot of effort has gone into the “look” of the house but sadly, in some areas, it is a case of style over substance. The “games room” is unheated, draughty and shabby – and the outside of the house in particular looks very tired. The summerhouse is full of junk and semi derelict, there was outdoor furniture literally scattered around behind the house and the area next to the garage looks a bit like a builder’s yard. The lookout tower has some rotting stair treads and no handrail on one side.
We emailed David and Anjana with our concerns soon after arriving and they phoned us back very shortly thereafter. They were very polite and seemed surprised at our feedback. David suggested running some water down the smelly drain. It will take more than that to clear the smell! Our subsequent discovery of several poor reviews on Trustpilot suggests we weren’t telling them anything they did not already know. Thus, their response is disingenuous. They offered us a free additional night which were not inclined to take up, even if work commitments had allowed us to.
Update 28/2
The internet may be delivered by Starlink but accessing it requires WiFi. The 3 WiFi networks, all require password access, none is named MorMoreGuests. The TP Link WiFI was the only one of the three for which we could find a password.
Summerhouse or shed, it is ramshackle, full of junk and an eyesore. It may not be “for customer use” but with the door open, it is a dangerous magnet for curious children.
Sawdays website refers to a "games room”.
The front door frame is not secured to the lintel leaving a draughty gap.
I stand by my review. Mor and More looks unloved and tired. It is not good value for money even at the winter rates.

Love love loved it!!!
Love love loved it!!!!
Thank you for the magical experience!
It’s 💯 The absolute Wilderness!
So cosy & luxurious yet very rustic!
Bring lots of supplies so you can hunker down with no human contact except who you choose.
The hot tub is so worth it, a lot of work tending to the wood & stirring but magical looking at the stars & a physical experience you can’t describe your body hums afterwards!
If the weathers bad, yoga in the tobacco room on the cow hide is just magical!.
We played pool, watched films on the screen, went on walks, cooked together( great kitchen!) tended to the worthy hot tub.
Would defo recommend & revisit.
My only recommendation is that it has a refurb as it’s quite pricey so you need to ensure people feel it’s still
Luxurious.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Earth Conker
Earth Conker, great place to get away from the daily rush.
Spent a couple of nights here, weather was variable but that was to be expected in October. Conker was really warm and the location amazing. Made pizza in the wood fired oven, that seems obligatory to do :). Wood supplied and stored near to where you park the car. Would visit again.
moon conker
Just come back from staying in the moon conker. Was a very enjoyable experience getting back to nature. Off gridding with a few home comforts which made it a little easier. Highly recommend. Plenty of firewood provided and conker is warm and comfortable
Red Kite Barn
Red Kite Barn is just perfect, we couldn't have asked for more. Although slightly more secluded than expected this just adds to the tranquillity.
The road in was a little bumpy but we managed okay!
It was a fantastic place to relax and unwind. It gave us the escape we needed from the grind of day-to-day life.
Our dog Lola was terrified of the stairs so carrying a 30kg dog up the stairs was "fun", but once up she loved watching the world go by and keeping an eye on the Sheep outside
We were blessed with great weather, so had the pleasure of sitting around the fire, watching the sunset, and later star gazing..... Just PERFECT in every way
A fantastic house with WOW factor
We stayed in More and More. What a fantastic house with definite WOW factor! We stayed there for a 60th birthday with guests aged 16 to 80 and all loved it. The outside viewing platform is a great place to unwind and chat looking out over the sea and sunset. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a large party, we enjoyed the games room, quirky decor and great family dining room for meals together. The walk to the almost private beach is amazing and it is close enough to explore Tenby and Sandersfoot. Would recommend!
Pretty well perfect …
We were a motley crew .Old ,young and very young .It was perfect for us .Lots of space and a big room in which we could all congregate .A very bumpy road and a very grumpy farmer but nothing spoilt our holiday .A very well eqipped kitchen ,a glorious walk along the coastal path and on to the beach which was unforgettable .

AVOID!
I stayed here (Mor & More) with a group of friends in May and based on the website photos and description we had high hopes of a stylish, comfortable and well-equipped property. Sadly, the reality couldn’t be further removed from the hype. There are so very many things wrong with this property, most of them already detailed in other negative (but honest) reviews both here and on Google reviews. In summary, this property was a colossal disappointment and based on my sub-standard experience, my advice would be to avoid until ALL of the negative points – and there are so very many – are 100% resolved by the owners, which I imagine will take quite some time and a not inconsiderable amount of money.
20/8/24: My response to owners reply to my review: Your accusation that I have left more than one review is 100% false, and to be honest, looks a bit desperate. This is not a 'false address', it's my google email address. And you're absolutely right, I am entitled to my review and although you may not like it - and maybe wish for others not to see it - this is it. For the sake of clarity, I've left exactly one review on Trustpilot and one on Goolge. If Mor & More were on Tripadvisor... I'd leave one on there too. I've absolutely nothing to hide, so please, go right ahead and report me. You will get precisely nowhere for the reasons I've stated. p.s. your high handed & threatening attitude to past customers does you absolutely no favours
21/8/24 - Again, and for the last time, I've left one review.

AVOID AVOID AVOID
This place (Mor & More) tries achingly hard to be 'shabby chic' but only achieves the shabby. I stayed in the double room with the 'Jack&Jill' bathroom. The extractor fan is loud and runs constantly. I'm guessing the constant setting is to mask the damp unsanitary smell. It fails so all one is left with is a loud, constant noise from the extractor fan throughout the night. The outdoor life is trumpeted as one of the key selling point...only problem is that there is NO outdoor furniture. There was an empty large seating frame left plonked on the concrete patio with no cushions which required to be moved onto the overgrown grass (they do 'no mow May'...handy that) due to its sharp metal edges. The 'put together' wooden viewing platform type thing would (in my opinion) struggle to achieve health & safety standards. It features one long banquette style bench with a table - fine if everyone wants to eat and drink in a row...I don't know any 10/12 people who like to dine in that style. There are two silly bookshelves/ corridor doors that have sharp edges if a child ran down the corridor and slipped on the constantly moving rugs...again a rather dangerous set up. I suspect they thinks its 'funky'. The TV runs off the internet so if you have children who like to play on their devices or even watch a bit of TV then forget
it as the internet did not work during my stay. The owners are not open to constructive criticism during nor after a stay. For example the observation that the shower in the 'Jack&Jill' bathroom features French doors with transparent glass was met with the response that if the water is run long enough the glass steams up...they're really silly and ungracious owners. Its a charmless ramshackle of a place. And it smells.

Disappointing
(I would like to add this review to TripAdvisor but oddly the owner doesn't have a TripAdvisor page for Mor and More beachouse.)
Here is a list of shortfalls, whether or
not they have now been addressed for future guests is immaterial.
This was my experience in May 2024.
Cooker knobs melted so operating cooker hit and miss.
Kitchen equipment inadequate in quality and quantity.
Kettle with a couple of inches of scale up the side, not unsafe but unsightly.
Junk piled up on kitchen shelves.
Out of date 'left overs ' in kitchen cupboards.
Washing up bowl under sink would have needed cleaning before using for washing up.
Hot tap just a trickle, had to boil kettles for washing up when dishwasher full.
Drainage smells in bathroom.
Too many rusting bathroom fixtures/ radiators to mention.
Loo seats unsafe as fixings not secured effectively so seat slips from side to side.
Inadequate one-sided bannister to upstairs wooden terrace.
No outside seating on decking outside sitting room.
No indication that we could lug chairs from kitchen and through sitting room.
Kitchen chairs not designed for relaxing outside.
No WiFi ( is one really expected to do the leg work whilst on holiday to fix issues?)
Promised full WiFi and literature at the house says it was recently upgraded for coverage throughout house.
Smoke alarms not ceiling mounted.
Lacking on every level.

A beautiful house for a birthday celebration…
We had a fabulous birthday celebration here with our friends, there were 11 of us and we had plenty of space, the house is gorgeous, in a unique location and is very well equipped. The garden is beautiful and there’s a stunning viewing platform which looks out over the bay. The sitting room is perfect for relaxing in (and dancing!), really light and spacious and there is a choice of a lovely dining room or a spacious kitchen for both formal and informal meals. One of the things that stands out about Mor & More is the atmosphere. It’s so welcoming and whilst the decor is stunning it also manages to be relaxed and friendly. We couldn’t have had a better house for a happy and memorable celebration weekend, we would all absolutely recommend it.

A big disappointment
Some friends and I stayed at Mor and More Beach House from 9th to 12th May. We were extreme disappointed that the accommodation was not as advertised on the website. The pictures are very flattering but the quality of the place is poor.
Whilst the website mentions the track, it does not sufficiently describe the length or the state. We were in 4x4s in good weather. I dread to consider the journey in a normal car or in bad weather.
The kitchen is poorly equipped and does not support cooking and dining for a large group. The cooker knobs were melted and the numbers had worn off. Also, there was no instruction manual. Old food had been left, glasses were cracked and pans were broken.
Much is made of the outside space and the views are spectacular but to enjoy them you need to lug chairs from inside. The hosts seem to think this is acceptable! The fire pit seems to serve as a barbecue but was extremely rusty. There was a large metal structure taking up most of the terrace which, apparently, is seating but there was no explanation of where to find cushions.
We booked due to the excellent wifi advertised as most of us need to be in contact with work. There was no wifi at all, and no 4G reception. It took 2 days to receive a response to our calls and email. It also meant that we were unable to access any TV.
No hairdryers. Even the cheapest accommodations have these nowadays.
The Jack and Jill bathroom has floor to ceiling clear windows in the shower area which are unsuitable as the property is not secluded. The farmer was regularly on his quad bike in full view of the shower, as were the people receiving paragliding lessons. There was a strong sanitary pipe issue in the Jack and Jill bathroom which even the permanently switched on extractor fan could not mask. This was also noisy. 2 toilet seats were broken in other bathrooms. Childerness deny this but haven’t sat on the ones in the front bathrooms.
In addition, the kitchen and utility room cupboards were full of other people’s 'stuff' which had been left behind, and the conservatory was a dumping ground for junk. The front garden area was full of weeds and unsightly.
The property was advertised as funky but was, in fact, a case of style over substance – inadequately supplied and in some cases, dangerous.
We brought all these issues up and were offered a small compensation which was insufficient. Emails are now being ignored which seems to be a common feature in other reviews. I also noticed that since we complained the website has been changed to be more accurate but is still a far cry from the reality
Further to the reply from Childerness - this is my own opinion of the property and service received.
I stand by everything stated.
We paid £1800 and Childerness offered to refund the chairs and send some prosecco. As we are scattered from Scotland to Cornwall this didn't really work and was insufficient for the lack of amenities and service.
I have seen the reply to the initial complaint. However, had Childerness replied to the 3 or 4 emails sent after the initial reply (which admitted some of the short falls of the property), a compromise might have been reached and an amicable solution agreed on. They only seem prepared to reply in a public domain. If reviews on other sites are anything to go by, this is a pattern with Childerness.
We did not respond to the offer of technical services as we were by then on the last day of our 4 day trip and didn't want to waste the remaining time doing our own fix!
I do not expect any recompense. This is not the owners style. They merely ignore emails. I just hope that future guests are aware of the reality. It would seem that at least some of the issues have now been addressed

Mor & More - sadly less and less....
Friends and I stayed at Mor & More in Pembrokeshire in May and, despite its beautiful location, the house itself was a major letdown. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with no instruction manual, damaged glasses and pans, and leftover old food in the cupboards. Enjoying the outdoor space required lugging heavy kitchen chairs back and forth. The bedrooms lacked essential furnishings like bedside tables and hairdryers, had inadequate lighting, and the shared bathroom consistently smelled of drains. The presence of a shower in front of a full-length window without a curtain was impractical and discomforting. To top it off, the advertised excellent Wi-Fi was nonexistent, causing significant inconvenience as we all needed it for work. Overall, the experience was very disappointing, and while it seems some changes have been made in the property description since our stay, improvements are still very necessary to meet guests' expectations.
The Red Kite tree tent - naturescape!
The Red Kite tree tent is an amazing place to stay. You really couldn’t be closer to nature. The set up is entirely functional and completely adventurous. There is a hot shower on a platform in the trees - incredible. The surrounding countryside is unspoilt and spectacular. Perfect for a hike or trail run followed by a paddle in the stream.
The tent is dinky, well thought out and very cosy. We loved having a little stove to keep warm while gazing at the trees and stars.
Easy to organise, responsive hosts, straight forward instructions.
I would highly recommend for anyone wanting nature, adventure and the ultimate “get away from it all” break.
Wow just wow 🤩
Wow just wow 🤩
This place is definitely where time stands still , away from everything and everyone.
No wifi, limited phone signal , birds singing, and the only sound of the stream at night with the odd hoot of the owl & baa of the sheep.
Our first night we had to contact the owners about an issue, but this was dealt with effectively and efficiently.
We hired the hot tub from Stevie and we loved star gazing at night and relaxing listening to the birds during the day. Definitely recommend!
The barn itself was right up our street, very quirky and cosy .
The cinema screen and pool table was fun .
The kitchen had everything we needed in it to cook wonderful meals.
We loved the wildlife.
We saw…
The Hare.
The Bat.
The Sheep, Horses (wander freely around the barn and estate. )
Cows.
Squirrels ( who tap on the kitchen door)
Red Kites.
Lots of different birds.
We didn’t see the piggies , apparently they had gone on their own little adventure.
The track up to the Red Kite Barn is very bumpy and uneven, so wouldn’t recommend driving a low car.
The conkers and other places look like fun to stay in here too!
But the barn is definitely our cup of tea.
We would definitely like to return one day , we loved it!
Magical
We enjoyed a magical stay at the Moon Conker and loved being off grid and inmersed nature for the night! We love the attention to detail - the fairy lights and decorations really helped make it a special stay. Everything was just as described and we found the guides really helpful, however we felt it could have been clearer where the firewood and car park were. We really enjoyed the outdoor bath experience but would recommend getting the fire as hot as possible otherwise the water takes ages to heat up! Overall a really unique and beautiful experience. Thank you!
