Terrible waiting time on my food ordered it 50 mins later still no food but the people on my table ordered after me and got there food quicker , i had 3 seperate waiters come over asking about my food then i found out that my ticket had only just been took to the kitchen , will never go back there again

ive been going to chicken George once a week for the past few months and every time i go the food is 10/10. you really cant go wrong with there £7.50 lunch time deal where you get a burger chips and drink. would definitely recommend!

I hope they will improve with the quality of the chicken they serve and the fries 🍟 the chicken on the bone was very dry and tasteless bland awful I went to this place spend £116 with my family and left with no apology when I told the staff and no compensation. Definitely won't go there again.

I got a food poisoning after eating here. Horrible.

Went for a birthday meal, and what can I say. It was a brilliant meal! With fantastic service, Joseph was a class waiter.
Food was unbelievable, tasty and delicious.
Would definitely come again.

I ordered from the Bedford branch (delivery). This took over an 1 hour after saying the delivery time would be 30 45 minute window. When the food finally did arrive it was lukewarm. The wings tasted like they were from tesco frozen section. The burgers were mediocre at best very dry no sauce. For context this order came to £40. After complaining to chicken George they have offered me a £10 voucher and said “this is all we can do for now.” As well as £10 go getter voucher (this is the delivery service they use). Overall I was left disappointed with the food the time frame it took to arrive and then ontop of that the lack of consideration for owning up to the mistakes they made. Really poor I wouldn’t bother ordering through them ever again. Pepe’s is a much better all round you’d be better off there!

Avoid at all costs!

Our server whose name was Tina was unbelievably helpful. From the moment we arrived she couldn’t do enough for us. She noticed I was wearing my coat and asked if I wanted the heating turned up. She is a credit to the company and truly loves her job. We had a very pleasant evening at Chicken George. Thanks Tina you are a star!!!

Bedford home delivery - over 1.5 hours late and stone cold. All of it. Including the gravy. Absolutely shocking food delivery service, especially when you’re paying an expensive delivery and service charge.

Banging how can anyone rate less x

I ordered some food (£70 worth) for a small gathering for takeaway. I live about 15 miles away and came here because friends had heard of chicken george on tv. I specifically asked if they had given everything and was told yes

They gave only half the order, which I only found out once I reached home. I had to travel back to the restaurant to collect the remaining food. The server there didn't care, didn't apologise, just stared at me blankly.

By the time I returned home all the food had gone cold. Not worth it

I arrived at Chicken George Hitchin at 17.35 and asked for two buckets 18 pieces of chicken plus chips and advised it would be 10 minutes. After 15 minutes still waiting and I advised how long will it be and the young lady asked chef he said two minutes. The two young ladies looked very embarrassed as I was looking at my watch finally after 35 minutes they apologized and said they have added more chips as a gesture, really this establishment needs to go back to customer service retraining and learn time management, appalling management skills unsatisfactory.

Chicken george bedford was amazing 👏 the food was absolutely outstanding and tasty. The customer/table service was very good. We were served by Fumi who was very friendly and attentive to our needs. She served us with a smile and the food came so quickly and the portion sizes were perfect We were stuffed by the time we left.

I would give this no stars I just called them up to complain about sauces missing from mine and my other half's meal and they seemed they didn't care and hanged up on me

Had to send food back twice, staff were rude and couldn’t take an order properly.
The burger was rank, left my food and left the place.
Toilets were filthy.
Won’t recommend

Can’t rate these guys enough, we order a take away from here at least once a month. Never had any problems and food always turns up and warm and tastes amazing!!!

We are regular chicken george hitchin customers and are usually really happy with the food. However we ordered the 10 piece family pack and it came with one small box of chips which was just enough for two people. Had to explain to staff that this is not sufficient to advertise as a family bundle and she was lovely and gave us another box of chips but I have to be honest they shouldn't advertise this as a family bundle without providing enough chips for 4 people. Another example of trying to save money over reputation of the buisness which is such a shame

The setting was pleasant enough and chicken wings had tasty sauces to choose from and enjoyed them. Also ordered ribs and to be honest they were not great at all and very poor taste and quality. Also fries portion was rather stingy.

The whole world fell out my backside after eating the dry chicken from a takeaway at the bedford branch. First and last time I shall eat their food.

Vegan chicken burgers was very poor in comparison to others I've had. Extremely dry burger. The sauce was as runny as water and all over the outside of the bun. Chips were dry and tasteless

Great tasty crispy chicken will be back for more :)
