After 25th of August 2026

After 25th of August 2026, when the 5-hour limit was restored, they silently cut the capacity at least 5 times for the Plus subscription for Codex. Now it's completely useless.
This torture continues.
Not worth 23 euros per month.

Data Limit Restrictions

I was a paying subscriber to ChatGPT for a number of months before I noticed a material change in model performance beginning in early 2026. I ended my subscription in June 2026 and subsequently reevaluated in September 2026. The model asked for a sample problem to showcase improved performance. The model immediately hit a data limit. I reached out to customer service regarding the data limit and have not heard back. The primary reason I switched from ChatGPT was lack of adequate responses. I don't see myself subscribing again as the free version of Gemini has better responses and I have not hit data limits. My work includes financial model, coding, legal analysis, etc., all of which ChatGPT now longer seems to handle.

I am sure English teachers are not…

I am sure English teachers are not happy about this app, but the accuracy has something to be desired. Over wording overly explanatory and I haven’t figured out a way yet to copy and paste it because the select all feature doesn’t work in the app or in my email so basically pretty frustrated with something I’m gonna have to type. after looking I might as well write it myself -there’s a certain art writing and it makes me very sad that apps exist like this. They’re gonna destroy people thinking and creative ability and expression. It might be nice for a quick letter. You don’t feel like writing, but then why bother at all. The app needs some help. I don’t feel like talking to somebody with an accent that I don’t understand either. There’s too many questions and it gets just too complicated so I’ll go back to writing myself.

ChatGPT is no longer worth using for real work

I spent more than three hours trying to get ChatGPT to make one product image correctly. The instructions were simple and repeated many times: every fringe needed exactly 3 beads and exactly 3 feathers, in a specific alternating color pattern.

ChatGPT failed the same requirement over and over, roughly 30 incorrect images across two chats. Even after I supplied multiple reference images showing the exact layout, it kept generating the same mistakes: missing feathers, only 1–2 beads, stacked beads, or inconsistent fringe patterns.

What made this especially frustrating was that ChatGPT often acted as though the result matched my instructions when it clearly did not. I had to manually count and point out the same errors again and again.

This was not a vague artistic preference. It was a strict product-detail requirement. For ecommerce work, accuracy matters. Repeatedly ignoring exact counts and reference images makes the image-generation feature unreliable for this kind of task.

The result was several hours wasted, a large number of failed generations, and concern about paying for a service that could not follow a basic repeated construction rule despite extensive clarification.

And most of the time, it also fails to open my wordpress site in a work chat, so it can't do anthing for me on my websites.

It wasted nearly my whole five hour window of credits and barely got three products fixed. It doesn't matter that it is cheaper, if it can't do the work.

I recently upgraded from ChatGPT Plus…

I recently upgraded from ChatGPT Plus to Pro, but I am now running into Codex and Excel/Work usage limits much more frequently than I did on Plus, despite my workload being roughly the same.
This is very disappointing because I upgraded specifically expecting greater capacity. it feels like a scam so if they know you can buy more they want you to spend more.

Account deactivated, billing access removed, and support refuses to cancel

I am a cybersecurity student. OpenAI deactivated my account for alleged “cyber abuse” while I was using ChatGPT for cybersecurity-related study and research.

The deactivation itself is not even the worst part.

I had an active ChatGPT Plus subscription paid directly through ChatGPT. Once OpenAI deactivated my account, I lost access to my billing settings, which meant I could no longer cancel the subscription myself.

I contacted OpenAI Support multiple times and made it extremely clear that I was not asking about the deactivation appeal. I was asking one simple thing: stop charging my card.

I provided my account email, the last four digits of my card, and my latest payment date. Instead of handling the billing issue, their support system repeatedly sent me the same irrelevant response about appealing the deactivation and then closed the case.

I then tried their Privacy Portal, which also failed because the account was deactivated.

So the situation is ridiculous:

OpenAI deactivates the account, removes access to the billing page, then its support system refuses to process the cancellation and sends the customer back into a loop that does not work.

That is an unacceptable billing system.

Whether my account should have been deactivated is a separate issue. A company should never make it this difficult to stop recurring payments, especially after removing the customer’s access to the account.

I have screenshots of every step, including the repeated support responses and the authentication error.

This is not a minor inconvenience. It is a serious failure in OpenAI’s billing and support process.

The worst AI app on the market

The worst AI app on the market. I use it to produce images and its ridiculous guard rails will reject images that just seconds earlier it accepted. It's useless circular logic contradicts itself with each response and it's guard rails see offence in the most innocent requests. It is like having your prudish ninety year old maiden aunt deciding what she will and won't allow. It is not worth the £18 a month I am paying, frankly they don't deserve any customers.

They recognize their own theft and fraud

This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. If you are ever in doubt if you should use ChatGPT or some other competitor, please for the love of god choose the competition.
I started out with 4 seats. I upgraded and paid for 6 seats. ChatGPT then added a seventh seat, and it has been A HASSLE to even just communicate with them. They have recognized the error, but refuse to reimburse the illegally obtained money.

This company is a scam. If you don’t want to be scammed, stay away from the scam company.

Not good anymore.

I have used ChatGPT for maybe 1.5-2 years now. Suddenly for a few months now I experienced that it didnt work as well as before. It makes huge mistakes that I need to correct all the time. I didnt even think about using something else, but it has become so bad that Im doing research to find a new AI to solve problems that I used to ask ChatGPT. My biggest problem with ChatGPT is that it makes mistakes. It uses wrong or outdated info and I allways need to correct or asking follow up questions to get the correct info or context. What I also noticed is that if there is a way to misunderstand the question you can bet that it will do exactly so. Its so annoying to see it over explain something I didnt ask for. Its not reliable anymore. Even with payed sub Im getting this kind of problems. I dont know why this happened, but its getting to the point that it cant be used anymore. Im moving on.

Verify Age but still get treated like a child. Worst AI Assistant.

The fact that you verify your age, 34 btw, and the system still blocks you when you GENERATE CLOTHED AI MODELS. They are clearly catering for FU**ING children, because children pay their bills.

What's the point of age verification and shit, and the AI still treats you like a child??? What are we paying for? So we aren't allowed to explore our creativity by generating fictional, clothed, AI characters???

You guys need a competitor that can completely replace you.

CHILDREN AREN'T THE ONES PAYING YOUR SALARIES!!!

The plus plan marketing offered me up…

The plus plan marketing offered me up to 200 image generations per day, but after a few weeks of using the plan ChatGPT substantially reduced the number of image generations , and in addition to that the reset time kept on getting longer an longer, the excuse it gave me was it’s own interpretation of the phrase “ up to 200 “ which according to ChatGPT means from 1 to 200, so today they may allow you to do it one time only an tomorrow they might let you do it twice depending on their mood , but the monthly fee is the same , I do not recommend this plan at all

Stop Paying and Suddenly It Gets Stupid

I downgraded from the paid version to the free version, and wow… apparently the free version is only useful for reminding you how much better the paid version was.

While I was paying, the answers were great. The moment I stopped paying, the quality took a nosedive. Answers became vague, useless or completely missed the point, and it constantly feels like the whole experience is designed to push you back towards upgrading.

I understand that paying should get you more features, higher limits, etc. That’s fair. But deliberately making the free experience feel practically useless just to pressure people into paying again? That’s a different story.

I don't know what games are being played behind the scenes, but it definitely feels like games are being played.

So yes, if you're happy to keep paying, apparently everything is wonderful. Stop paying, and suddenly it forgets how to be useful.

Very disappointing.

A very unprofessional company and not…

A very unprofessional company and not worth the cost of their services. I had an issue with my account, provided a screenshot as requested, and they still ignored me despite multiple follow‑ups. They also mislead veterans; the service they claim is free for one year is nothing more than false advertising.

Paid userPaid user, but support and privacy failed

Paid user, support unresponsive and serious privacy concern. I am a paid subscriber and one of the key features I pay for does not work as advertised. I opened support cases 14010914 and 13744709

but received no response or resolution. On top of that, I encountered images of a girl I do not know, who appeared underage. I never requested or had any reason to see them. I did not ask for that content and it raised serious privacy concerns. As a paying customer, I expect working support and strong privacy protection.

Chat GPT is Racist

Very concerning experience with ChatGPT’s handling of race-related requests.

I asked for help finding a spinal surgeon for a possible lumbar discectomy, an intricate operation where clear communication is critical. My request was driven by a recent poor hospital experience where I could not properly understand the doctor assessing me, and the consultation became increasingly frustrating, leaving me untreated and still in pain.

Rather than treating my concern as a legitimate clinical communication issue wanting a doctor who speaks clear native-level English and can explain risks, outcomes and whether surgery is necessary ChatGPT applied inconsistent racial standards. Requests framed around Asian/Hindi doctors were accommodated using cultural or name-based proxies, while a comparable request involving a white English native-speaking doctor was refused outright.

That is not neutrality. It is differential treatment by race.

Patients should be allowed to prioritise clear communication, especially before serious spinal surgery. ChatGPT’s response exposed a troubling double standard in how it handles ethnicity-based requests, and in this case it treated one racial preference as acceptable while treating another as illegitimate.

This felt discriminatory, inconsistent and deeply frustrating.

Had A Chat With Chat

I had a chat with chat and said,"why have you got such an appalling TrustPilot score"? They said, people who are happy tend not to do reviews. That being the case there should be no scores higher than 1.5 on TrustPilot!!
An interesting philosophy and totally flawed.I have cancelled my chat subscription. There are alternatives but having checked TP.They are not much better.
