Having LTE with 1 or 2 bars can often indicate that your device is connected to a distant or heavily congested tower, resulting in non-responsive data throughput. In many destinations, we have multiple network partners available. Very easy to buy and install. Only grudge was that didn’t have full and clear coverage. Whilst speaking with my son back home I was cutting in and out. And if I was on the beach my texts didn’t send until I was off it for some reason,

Ubigi scored twice for me!
I’ve now used Ubigi for two separate trips to Japan, and both experiences have been excellent.
Setup was incredibly straightforward. I purchased the eSIM before my trip, activated it in just a few minutes, and had data almost immediately after landing. No hunting for SIM cards at the airport, no swapping physical SIMs, and no surprises.
Coverage throughout Japan was consistently reliable, with fast data whether I was navigating Tokyo, riding the Shinkansen, or exploring smaller areas. It made using Google Maps, translation apps, and messaging completely stress-free.
After two trips with zero issues, Ubigi has become my go-to travel eSIM. If you’re heading to Japan and want something that just works, I can confidently recommend it. I’ll definitely be using them again for future travels.

Worked for husband, not me
I don't know what happened, because the esim worked great for my husband while we were in Ireland but my connection was awful and almost never worked. Maybe it was user error, but it would have to be something that qasn't made obvious to be a mistake.

Excellent eSIM for Traveling in Japan
This was my first time using an eSIM from Ubigi for my trip to Japan. The app is very user-friendly, and the installation and activation process was quick and easy. Very slow download speed
Yes the eSim worked when it was supposed to, but the speed was terrible. Even when I had full 5G service in the Capital of Tahiti, the data download rate was never above 0.50Mbps. Wouldn't recommend
