ATENTTION "carwiz" !!

ATENTTION "carwiz" !!! Avoid ! ! ! Avoid ! ! ! Avoid ! ! !
Scammers, impudent deceivers and ......
Unfortunately I read the reviews about these " ...... " too late.
"carwiz" in Warsaw airport
On 05/26/25 at 21:20, when receiving the car, a company employee took pictures and I did the same.
The next day, in the morning, I was not sure about the quality of the photos taken in the evening in the dark, so I decided to check again, but in good light I noticed several defects, scuffs on the car body and a scratched "NO" next to a small dot. I took several additional photos. All this damage is old and was done before I received the car.
During the rental there was absolutely no damage, scuffs or scratches. Also, the day before returning the car, 05/29/25 in the evening, I washed the outside and cleaned the inside of the car so that it would be visible that I was returning the car in perfect (the same) condition. But when returning the car on 05/30/25 at 07:00, the staff found "new damage". I want to note that it was sunny in the morning and the lighting was excellent, so that even sun glare could be taken as damage (roughness).
In any case, there is a big difference between taking photos in the dark at a distance of about 1 meter + or in the morning with good lighting at a distance of 10 cm and at a certain angle. By the way, in my photo all the damage (roughness) is faintly visible , you just need to enlarge the picture.
I want to say that the staff, of course, knew about the old "damage", because the car is checked perfectly under a "microscope" and recorded to charge customers. This suggests that this method can be used to deceive customers and take money for the same damages every time.
they are ...... charge me 2.965,83 PLN = 775$ for the old "damage"!!!
Only negative reviews! How do they exist?
I really hope that these scammers will close soon !
The last two photos are mine
Don't expect that everything will be fine, they will still deceive you!
!!! Avoid "carwiz" ! ! !

At first glance

At first glance, Carwiz seems like a great deal — low prices, smooth booking. But don’t let the shiny surface fool you. Once the rental is over, that’s when the surprises begin. Unexpected charges appear without clear explanations, and the whole process starts to feel less like a service and more like a setup.

Just a heads-up to others: don’t let the price tag be your only guide. You might end up paying a lot more than you planned. I’ve learned my lesson — I won’t be booking with this company again.

Do not rent a car from carwiz

Worst Car rental company ever.

They will rent you a car for cheap, and after you have returned it, they will later overcharge you for a tiny scratch somewhere on the car.
This is how they make their money, this is an absolute scam.

Car Wiz Naples - DO NOT USE

Car Wiz – Naples (one star is too much)

I very rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to warn people NOT to use Car Wiz. The staff are rude, aggressive and unprofessional.

From the outset they tried to sell us extra insurance, despite the fact we had already taken out extra Full Collision Damage insurance.

They implied because we were from the UK and drove on the left, we were more likely to be in an accident and get stopped by the Police, which is very insulting given we drive regularly on the continent and regularly in a motorhome!

They questioned the validity of our UK driving licence, saying we needed an International Driving Permit, despite the documentation not requesting this.

During the payment process, we were informed we would receive a verification code to approve the payment, which we did not receive. We attempted payment with two credit cards both encountering the same issue. It was implied that our banks had declined the payments. Upon contacting our banks, they confirmed that no payment had been declined, and that Car Wiz should not be generating a code for customers, indicating that the payments were not being processed correctly.

The upshot of all this is that we had no way of making payment and walked away without a car. We have taken the issue up with our broker and are demanding a full refund.

Having read other reviews, it looks like we had a lucky escape, as I would not doubt think we would have issues getting our deposit back.

carwiz/colusa is trash please avoid

Please avoid this garbage company. Like all the other reviews this is a poorly run company that just wants your money. They charge a $500 deposit that was never returned after 30 days even after they sent an email saying they have refunded the money. We rented a 2024 Ford fusion, and they guy at the counter said he upgraded us for free and gave us a 2021 Rav 4 with navigation not even working. I honestly can't believe this company is still in business. We paid extra to not pay tolls in Miami Florida but still got text messages from Miami saying we had tolls to pay, or license would be suspended. Carwix/Colusa is trash!

The company is absolutely horrible

The company is absolutely horrible! Avoid! we were charged for alleged damage (a chip on the windscreen) in the amount of £500 that we did not cause. Contact with Carwiz is impossible because they do not reply to emails, they do not answer the phone either. I feel cheated and robbed. Our case is being forwarded to the UOKiK, with the hope that this company will finally face consequences for such unacceptable behavior.

This company is an absolute scam

This company is an absolute scam! I rented a car for two days through the Ryanair app, but they delivered a completely different vehicle. When I returned the car at the airport, the representative told me he wouldn’t be there and instructed me to leave the key at the information desk.
The next day, I received an email claiming the car was damaged, and they charged me £500 from my deposit. I tried contacting them, but no one responded. I requested evidence of the alleged damage, but they failed to provide any.
Ryanair should not be working with this dodgy company!

Charging for scratch

The company is a SCAM they give you the damage information with lots of damages for which you give up checking one by one. When you return the car they charged €170 for a scratch which was barely visible. To add to that there was a scratch marked on the damage sheet on the same door and marked as long scratch which could have easily been the same one. Upon returning the car there was no one because it was still early and they charged immediately and did not reply to emails. Definitely will NOT use again despite car being cheap they scam you in another way.

Do not use this company under any…

Do not use this company under any circumstances
As a retired businessman, I have rented cars probably in the region of 250 times. These have varied in quality but this Carwiz Dalaman rental was the worse by a considerable margin. They failed in their duty of support, were threatening, have stolen money and told lies.
My car rental was for 18 days from Dalaman airport, booked online through Carjet. The problems started almost immediately. I’m used to the hard sell for collision damage insurance but these guys told untruths about my liability, threatened to cancel my rental and were unpleasant and ill mannered in the extreme. They eventually conceded when I showed them the Carjet rental agreement but it took a long time and I left with the car pretty stressed out and upset.
My problems were only beginning. I drove to my destination about 3 hours away from Dalaman. In the morning I noticed both front tyres had lost pressure. On close inspection both tyres were found to have no tread and had damage to the sides. I took the car to a tyre shop with a good reputation – they told me both tyres were beyond repair, were dangerous and illegal – if I were stopped by the police they would have prevented me driving!! I contacted Carwiz who told me they would seek permission for me to purchase 2 new tyres. Days passed before they responded. They refused to replace the tyres, refused to give me any local help and insisted I drive a 1 day round trip back to Dalaman. I pointed out that that they should be able to provide a local service AND that the tyres were in a dangerous condition. Again they refused to help and were again ill mannered.
In addition, two warning lights came on – oil and air filter. Again they refused to help.
After a few more days one of the tyres failed completely. I tried to put the spare on but the equipment to change the tyre was missing! Again, I asked for help – the car was broken down – again they refused. I had no choice but to contact and pay for a breakdown service and pay for 2 new tyres.
When I returned the car, I left the invoices for the breakdown service and 2 new tyres and was told head office would process a payment to me. It is now almost 3 months, I have yet to receive the money. To add insult to injury, they have also not returned the 2 hundred euro damage deposit!! The have ignored multiple emails and Whats App messages.
These guys are a nightmare and also appear to have stolen my deposit. Terrible!!!
