Almost £400 for 2 springs... every mechanic I spoke to agreed the price is unrealistic. I wasn't even told the shocks are gone too so I am totally out of pocket. They either charge £120 per hour or take 4 hours to do such a simple job.
Make sure you get full quote from them before approving any work or be ready for a very nasty surprise.
I have used Colin Caruth's garage for about 10 years, first in Scotstoun and now in its newer location in Jordanhill. They are friendly and efficient. I trust them as they have saved me money when I have been recommended repairs by the sharks at Kwik Fit which have turned out to be unnecessary. They have also done a couple of minor things for nothing. Prices are very reasonable.
