I was gifted a hitch cup and was extremely unfortunate to receive an item with a machining error. It took some time to relay this to staff as there was some to and fro as they were sceptical of the issue as they had had no previous complaints of this.

Ultimately, once the ball got rolling, the customer service I have received has been nothing short of excellent. They even threw in one of the lid covers as a gesture of goodwill to apologise for the delay in sorting out the replacement.

Loads of people have commented on the aesthetic and functional design of the cup and I have had no reservations recommending this company and their products.

If you’re considering this brand, know that most of the hard work has been done. Although it may take 30 to 45 days to receive (pulled from the official website) know that the time and effort that the team has put into it from day one has been nothing short of amazing. If anyone’s interested, or in the need for a product like this, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

I originally found out about hitch from Kickstarter back in 2020. I thought it would be a pretty awesome thing to use and help me out day to day because I constantly had a water bottle and coffee with me when I went to work (U.S. Navy).

As everybody knows, a lot of things shut down and were difficult to predict during 2020, and the same went for this project. Due to shut downs, supply chain issues, and quality assurance concerns, the project was delayed multiple times. Although it took a while for me to get the product, I loved how transparent and open the team at hitch was about everything. Week every week I could count on receiving an email, letting me know the status of progress, and what was going on.

When I finally received my bottle, I was nothing less than impressed. Great design, flawless fit and finish, and definitely high-quality. I’m glad that I stuck with them, and can say that I was one of the original backers for this project.

Love this product! Seriously one of the best purchases I've made, it's a seamless one-hand carry water bottle and I'm forever grateful. It helps me out every morning when I get to work, I was over carrying my water bottle in one hand and coffee in the other along with my laptop bag and lunch bag. It's also very aesthetically pleasing. People are also very interested in the design when they see it! Would definitely recommend.

Got my Hitch a few weeks ago, and love this thing. It goes with me everywhere, love the cup lid that goes on top too. Delivery was fast, nice customer service ppl as well!

UPDATE#2: Hitch are trying to have my review removed. I have had to submit evidence to Trust pilot to keep my review up. Only a totally distrustful company would try and delete legitimate reviews on their product. Hitch even ADMITS that my review is legitimate by saying that they handled my detective product issue that was in my first review. How could they do that if my review is fake?

UPDATE#1: In reply to Hitch's 8 month late response to my review: Your product, your outrageously delayed shipping + disgraceful extra shipping costs are terrible no matter what you say. ***We have literally thrown our Hitch cups in the bin*** - No one we know wanted them because they were SO heavy with nothing even inside. So we literally couldn't even give them away. We also couldn't, in good conscience, sell them on to someone else to suffer with them. Not to mention their weight meant that posting them would too expensive for just a water bottle.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY: Myself and my partner bought 2 hitch bottles via the Indigogo at the very start of 2020 ... and in December of 2022 we FINALLY got our bottles - and they're a complete disaster. The company is a total scam. They lied in their campaign, acting as if they just needed the money to start production, but that they were ready to go. Well, after probably 20 or so emails detailing all the times they had to start over because their product wasn't working properly, they finally starting shipping - to NEW customers. Oh yes, while the vast majority of backers hadn't even gotten their bottles yet, they opened up their website for new customers to order and they were sending them out! An absolute disgrace. They also asked backers to pay (in our specific case) $110 MORE for shipping costs (for 2 bottles!!!) Over 2 years after the campaign ended. They stated that if you didn't pay you wouldn't get your product which to me should have been totally illegal. REVIEW OF THE BOTTLES: They're terrible, the weight alone is an absolute joke. I could use these bottles as 1.5kg weights (that's how much they each weigh with liquid inside!) And the quality is shocking. I'm currently waiting on a response from their no doubt useless customer service team because my partner's cup is defective! The lid for his cup doesn't fit on at all. Seriously, after 2 years of remaking your product you can't even send out two working bottles. We *should* get a full refund for a product that doesn't work, but I have no doubt that they will claim that they don't have to refund or do anything to make this right.

I was part of the indiegogo launch and honestly didn’t mind that it was 2 years late — there was a pandemic and you never expect the crowdfunded products to be on time anyway. What did upset me was that I brought two bottles and then was told right when they finally got to shipping my group that I would have to pay double to receive them on account of increased manufacturing and shipping costs. I was given a very tight deadline to pay this or lose my invested money and receive nothing. I asked if I could just get one bottle instead (pro rata I’d already paid for that) and this was rejected so I received nothing for my money. Really adds insult to injury to see that they’re shopping to the UK FOR FREE as a Black Friday offer if you have two bottles. I honestly feel that this company doesn’t care at all for the people who buy from it and helped them get started.

EDIT: I have photos I could add to prove both. The black Friday offer was in an email on 24/11/2022 entitled “Black Friday (half full)” and my correspondence was with Kendalyn (request 16042 sent 27/09/2022 and answer received the next day 28/09/2022). May I upload photos Trustpilot?

EDIT 2: the company is trying to take my review down. I’ve provided my contributor number from my indiegogo order but who knows what they’ll do next.

EDIT 3: I’ve officially received the notification from trustpilot that hitch has requested my review is taken down. I’ve provided all the evidence and believe in trustpilot making the right call. I really can’t believe the nerve. If you don’t like your own behaviour don’t do it in the first place; don’t try and force anyone talking about it to not discuss it.

Be aware this is a SCAM!

I bought my bottle through Kickstarter and they have asked UK ppl to pay VAT who was not included in the initial price. This wasn't obvious when buying the bottle so I had to pay the VAT later.
Then they asked us to pay a ridiculous amount for shipping costs. I've received 2 emails but I wasn't in a position to pay right away. When I tried to pay for the extra shipping, they said it was too late, the window is now closed! I have paid for a bottle I will never have.

Do not buy this bottle, not worth your money or your time!

Indeed, this review was written at that time you refused to send the bottle and to refund us.
You changed your mind after months asking for more money for the bottle to be sent. The price you are asking where we paid this bottle plus VAT afterward is non sense.

Look, I love a good kickstarter with a nice premise. This was one. But at this point, I already paid well over 140$ for two water bottles.

Yes, water bottles.

Now they want me to further 67$ in shipment.

To ship 2 water bottles.

This is the dumbest scam and I can’t believe I fell for it, honestly.

Oh and if you dont pay tor additional shipping, you wont get yours money back! (Way to hold my own money for ransom)

UPDATE: My review still stands. I got the bottle in December, finally, after j backed in back in june 2020. The water bottle is pretty alright, but the paint is chipping off. And while they have been open about WHY the shipping cost rose, but that much money is still ridiculous. Just buy a good quality water bottle at your local store and you should be good.

The company seemed to dislike this review. And even though they know, that I received my order, they tried to delete this review (by saying: carryhitch.com has flagged your review because they don’t think it’s based on a genuine experience)
so that I had to argue a bunch with Trustpilot themselves. To try to delete bad reviews is really not a good look.

My review however is more about bad experience as opposed to the actual bottles.

Well, where do I start? 2020 and my attention was captured by some random advert on IG. I decided to have a look at the campaign, read about it, loved the concept and decided to back it up not only for me, for my bf, and my brother. Couldn’t wait to have it but at the same time I understood we were in a weird state due to a world pandemic and things not running as usual. And then I waited patiently for each newsletter at the beginning of the month giving me fake hopes about when my product would arrive. Fair enough, I was group #3 and there was some backlog from the first 2 groups and a pandemic in between. But the waiting game became RIDICULOUS. The newsletters stopped arriving at the beginning of the month, now they come whenever they want to send them and they don’t really answer much, all they say is “thanks for being patient, make sure to look at the shipping groups”. I have been doing that every 2 days during 9 months. My shipping moth has changed from DECEMBER 2021 to MAY 2022-JUNE 2022-JULY 2022. When I emailed them they just say the same thing. It will arrive soon. Nothing else, so what do I do? Start asking politely on IG about it, then realising there’s A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE SAME POSITION. I start politely and still get nothing. Then I start asking them for answers, and they start deleting all the comments from their IG. Even the ones I’ve politely written. At this point I’m just frustrated and want my money back, and apparently I can’t. I also find out that If you order the product now you will get it in 3 days or something ridiculously short. And how about all the people that have been waiting for the product? Nothing, thousands of packers have been played around by this company and they have no decency, no real customer service (deleting comments is their favourite sport) and no answers for where the product is. So, if you are considering to make your investment, have a second thought and maybe don’t, cause continuing to buy from this so called “startup” will just contribute the sick cycle of not being accountable for their errors.
