After finding out flights on Skyscanner. Carlton came up as one of the two cheapest providers for our flights. Having gone through the online process to purchase tickets. Attempted payments would not go through. Advised to call Carlton. So I did. Answered by Alex and he went through our requirements. When flights were located, we were informed that prices had increased by £80. Told other flights were available at the original price. Timings were not as good but we went for it. Email came through at a higher price again. Then was told by Alex that these were the best prices they could get. Time wasters!

Flight prices are controlled by the airlines and can change in real time based on availability. The fares displayed on Skyscanner are based on the airline/supplier inventory available at the time of the search and are not always guaranteed until the booking has been successfully confirmed.
In some cases, an airline may only have a limited number of seats available at a particular fare. Once those seats are sold or the fare bucket closes, the system automatically moves to the next available fare, which can result in an increase in price.
We appreciate that this can be frustrating, particularly when you have already gone through the booking process. We understand your disappointment and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
