I am having the exact situation and it is driving me nuts, too. It is hard enough to weed through legitimate offers without being bombarded by emails and texts saying they received my info from Career Builders and they have an interview set up. Not in my field and usually not researchable.
Scam, scam, and SCAMS!! Do not even bother. You will receive HUNDREDS of phishing schemes every day and waste your time wading through fake job postings. CareerBuilder should be investigated and shut down!
I wish I had read the review on here before I used their site. This company has been around for a long time and I thought I was doing my due diligence but not posting my resume directly on the site and only submitting it to the jobs I applied for but the fraud is just flooding in-in a mulittude of ways. It's only been a week, but it started immediately. I guess a lot of companies use services instead of doing it themselves and then they sell your resumes (PI) to other companies. I don't even know how thats legal but I heard it directly from one of their representatives. Also, I guess people buy expired business licenses and then set up fake accounts with Career Builder. Even though they pay for them, they make way more off your PI so its a small investment for a bigger payout. I will never use them again. It's going to take forever to clean up this mess. I paid a lot of money to have my info removed from the Internet and trusting one company ruined that and now I'm going to have to do that all over again. What a mess. You would think they would have better security or be held responsible on what happen on their site. We trusted them and at what cost. Its despicable.
After applying for jobs on the Career Builder site, I was inundated with fraudulent online job interviews by email and text. A week later, I was inundated with messages from Career Builder that that their site was compromised by fraudulent job postings posing, and that they now had my information to contact, and to be advised that companies claiming to have received my application would most likely be fraudulent, and not the actual company, and or a fraudulent company. Do not use Career Builder, your information will be compromised.
DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT share your personal or professional information with this company. As soon as I posted by resume, I received numerous spam calls as well as spam texts. However, the worst issue is that someone was able to get my identity and my bank information. Be aware if an opportunity is too good to be true it is not true. I received two emails for jobs that sounded fantastic and paid well, that were both scams!!!!
Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign up for CareerBuilder. I signed up months ago and within a few days I was deleting my account due to the amount of not only spam job emails, but spam job texts at all times of the day and night. You have to submit a form to have your account deleted, but months later I am STILL receiving spam job offers even though I asked to have all my information removed.
I emailed career builder about a so called compliant named Recipharm although there is a company the company was scamming pretending to be this company, promised to hire and last part send a check th hat your suppose to deposit to your account to buy the software you need to work for them, don’t fall for it it’s a scam I notified both the company that someone is saying they were Recipharm and career builder I still haven’t heard back from neither. What a shame.
I was looking for a remote position as it would help my current situation but every single job I got offered was a scam. I felt like nothing was legitimate.
I signed up looking for a job. What an exhausting ordeal! I was sent emails from companies interested in me, but they supplied no phone numbers, Company names, locations, etc., plus more Internet research revealed little about these "companies." Their emails were sent from weird addresses and everything else to indicate so many red flags. Can you spell S C A M? No, they didn't get any more of my information. I'm out.
As a potential customer (we own a small business), we created an account to post an ad. Within HOURS we decided to cancel (free trail was only 5 days). The instructions on how to do that didn't work, sent an email to the ONLY email address listed anywhere and called 2 days later (they don't answer or work on weekends). Have gotten the runaround and bait and switch for 4 days and talked to 4 differect customer service people. It's a nightmare - AND they billed us for one month in advance - over $400!!! Never posted an ad, never used it and have proof of contact and their voice logs (they record). Am opening a BBB claim today. STAY AWAY if you are small business.
I JUST GOT MY INFORMATION STOLEN BY A FAKE COMPANY REGARDING A JOB THEY KNOW ALL OF MY PREVIOUS JOB HISTORY AND NOW I GOT AN EMAIL FROM A FAKE ATTORNEY FROM SWITZERLAND WHO HAD AN INHERITANCE FOR ME. I NEVER GAVE THEM MY EMAIL ADDRESS OR NAME, I AM BEYOND UPSET I 😡 WISH I NEVER PUT ANY OF MY INFORMATION ON CAREER BUILDER, THEY SHOULD BE LIABLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME.
*SPAM SCAM ALERT* Inside Job ALERT!!!!
CAREERBUILDER is aware but don't care as long as you're using this site you're not going to get any REAL job leads! You're better off searching on Craigslist! Like the title of that movie...GET OUT!
Lost $3000
Probably should have read the fine print. Got locked into a contract that every other company I’ve ever worked with had an opt-out. NOT career builder. No opt out option. BE CAREFUL to read the fine print. This company refuses to help business owners opt out. Won’t be surprised to see lawsuits coming for this company. They seem very desperate to keep profits up and their last annual report appears to be in the negative
LITERALLY what virtually every other review says!! I signed up with them to apply for a single job I was interested in, and after their system said my zip code is "invalid", which is complete bs, and I thought it wouldn't allow me to even complete my account, I've received THREE bullish "offers" in a matter of a day and a half. AVOID AVOID AVOID, and they should be stripped of their ability to even offer their "services"!
I have had an account on Careerbuilder since the beginning of the website. I have recently started job searching and decided I would use Careerbuilder and another website to gain access to more employment opportunities.
There is an option to make your resume visible to employers. I DEEPLY regret doing so. I have been getting spam texts and phone calls from fake employers. I have contacted Careerbuilder and asked them to delete my entire account because they have a severe privacy issue on their website.
THIS IS A SCAM!!!! They promise you the perfect job and all they want you to do is send them money. the checks they send to you are bogus checks, My bank would not cash it. I suspected the scam and took my copy of "my checK" to the bank and it was a fake bank account. I called this Sesame Care company and was told that no one by the name Carol Noland worked at this company. complete scam
I was contacted by orchid pharma via text that they received my resume via careerbuilderllc and they wanted to interview me for remote work 2 hours later was hired. They said they were gonna set me up with a mini office and software . They send me a check I deposit it 2 days later wells fargo is closing my account due t counterfeit check.
Three scams job offers in a row! Very cunning with ideal websites and JOTForm to grab all your personal information possible. The last female stated we do not accept Bitcoin! I knew beforehand before the imposter stated anything before bitcoin, I looked out for email endings, the spelling of words, sentence construction, and overall professionalism of the job offer. I am going to create a complaint to the FTC, and I urge others to do so as well! Perhaps the owners of this website would be more cautious as to who is allowed to use its application and website. Plus the website needs a secure entry as 2FA to secure their clients' information.
i have been getting all the scam job opening all the time for years. change email they get me . i try to remove/delete my info from their site cant do it. the info that is been provide never works. tried other ways noting seems working they have many sites with a chat line and they will tell you they are software developer that is is. they sell my personal info for 3rd party. no way to rich them , cant delete my info?
I have been on career builder for 1 day and have received phone calls from the same company at least 5x and received 10+ emails. I am deleting my account. I and reporting the company that keeps calling me if it doesn't stop. This website may or may not be a scam, but It is clearly not monitored properly. I would suggest sticking with Indeed.
