While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Reputable service, been around for an age. No issue, it does what it advertises!
Like other reviews I received a text message on WhatsApp from Anne at CareerBuilders. After some basic questions was contacted by a scammer who was impersonating Marks & Spencer UK. Beware of this company
All I get is scam offers to deposit fake checks and no legit jobs. Careerbuilder should be shut down.
This is a great service if you like to get bombarded with texts and emails from MLM scammers.
Scammers. Wasted my time on them. When they asked 500€ from nowhere, I started looking for them in internet, and saw that they are scammers. People, be careful!
Same as the others, unprofessional email Hi I am Anne from Career Builder, we have a new career opportunity etc. never signed up or gave my details or even heard of them! Then they want to contact you on whats app…
I have never been a customer, I have never given them my contact information and I have a hidden number with my phone company it's not available in the phone register, and I never give out my email to anyone and so on, still they somehow have gotten hold of my contact info and send me spam unwanted messages I have not asked for and not agreed to
The last one:
"Hei, jeg er Anne fra CareerBuilder, vi har en ny karrieremulighet, er du interessert i detaljene? Hvis ikke, kreves det ikke svar. Takk!"
I Norge er det dessuten forbudt å sende reklame til mennesker som har sperret og unnabedt seg for dette.
Dette er spam og høyst ulovlig.
Started receiving several scam, phishing, and suspect emails and texts after signing up with Career Builder. Can’t get my information removed, I’ve sent three request to stop sharing/selling my information. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE IT IS A SCAM!
There are so many scam companies on career builder! It’s quite alarming to receive so many fraudulent messages and emails from companies claiming to be legit! Please be cautious!
Careerbuilder has become a scam site teaming up with scam comoanies like Lensa and JobsRUs. All scams.
SPAM SPAM and more SPAM !! I Ieft work for health reasons 10 years ago and I've been inundated with emails and text messages from career builder for nearly a year now. I have marked emails as spam and blocked text messages. But they just find a different number and keep harrassing me. Why aren't there more stringent laws in dealing with this kind of harrassment?
I recently re-entered the job after a long period of employment and was shocked to find that this site was taken over by scammers and spammers. Within one day, I received "offers" from companies with silly domain names, a phone call identifying itself as from Iran (I didn't answer it), and a fake local mechanical call claiming that I owed money on an Amazon purchase. These days with indeed, simply hired, and Ziprecruiter the need for careerbuilder is no more.
Do you want scams? Because this is how you get scams.
I was added to some mailing lists that I'm not even able to unsubscribe from. Tried multiple times to contact them but the issue was never solved.
Sent me multiple times to a completely different company than the one I was applying for. Instead of Trader Joes, it'd turn into UPS. Instead of Nike Warehouse it'd turn into US Border Patrol. Worst job site period, after sign ups you will receive copious amounts of junk emails and calls.
Once you are on CareerBuilder you can never leave. There is no human you can talk to. Also if you are an employer, you will be charged for services without your consent.
Ridiculous service. As an employer, I attempted to sign up for their job posting and resume search services. I provided my credit card information and it said I had a three-day trial. Thereafter, I was unable to access the service. After speaking with 4-5 different customer service people no one was able to provide an explanation as to why the account was disabled. I then receive "automated messages" from the company indicating my issue was "resolved" when in fact nothing with my account had been resolved. My account was suspended and they could not tell me why. Our company attempting to post a job notice and search for candidates and we can't! The customer service experience is horrible! Likely being ran by a bunch of technical people who have no idea about the user experience or using appropriate language to communicate with customers. I would NOT recommend using this service for employers or for job seekers. Unreliable!
At some point I created a CareerBuilder account in order to attempt to apply for a job. I didn't finish the process of entering my information, as I didn't want to join a service, I just wanted to apply to the one job.
Now I'm trying to cancel my subscription to CareerBuilder (and stop getting the copious emails). The problems: 1) the emails do not have an unsubscribe link. 2) the emails have an "update preference link" which take me to a prompt to enter my resume (and nothing else). 3) the support link on the CareerBuilder page goes to a 404, page not found error.
I'm trying to find a phone number or some way to cancel them.
EDIT: I did manage to send a delete request, but I had to enter my resume first. We'll see how well the account deletion processes.
