CanaDream RV - Vancouver Reviews 

Good vehicle with minor issues. Customer service and policies not up to standard in my opinion. Spent over $7000 renting vehicle but you have to pay extra to be given a rundown of the vehicle. On return our multiple minor issues with the vehicle (and other customer's bigger issues) were brushed aside, but payment for going 70km over our 3400km purchased km package was required. A petty charge given the amount we had paid to rent the vehicle. Our reasoning for going over kms including large diversions from wildfires and accidents were ignored, and we were repeatedly told to 'read the contract' We could have walked away mostly happy with our experience but instead we won't recommend Canadream.

We had a 24ft RV for 16 days and everything was great. Glad there was a User Guide in the van that we could actually refer to for using the air con and heating systems, as and when needed in our own time. Vans were great, everything was included in the packages selected but we only used the extra camping chairs once as a lot of places had benches in each of the RV sites we stayed at. The toaster was a nice extra! Make sure you budget for the 12mpg but fuel is half UK prices!

Friendly staff, they take the time you need, and you can always ask additional questions. They're also very fast in answering questions via email.

We got an Upgrade with a 29,4 fest long RV; the Problem...Not every Campground had so bin places and on the ferry to Vancouver Island was more expensive!
Otherwise was the RV in a good condition and easy to drive!
The complete Service at the Canadream Office was also very good!

Our whole experience with CanaDream was a positive one. The RV was fantastic and helped to create a rememberable holiday.
One thing that I would say as a negative would be that the afternoon pickup and morning drop off adds time pressures to a short stay holiday, they do offer early pick up and late drop off but there is limited spots and come at a cost.
At time of pickup, we decided to pay for wheel leveling blocks, unfortunately they were missed being put in the RV before we drove off, I feel these should be part of the standard kit if you are camping in the national parks around the Rockies as all sites we were in were not level, we found a few pieces of lumber on the side of the road that did the job, also I must add we were refunded the cost of the leveling blocks on return of the RV.

A very smooth, easy hire. No problems.

Overall great experience with 2 points of critique:

1) We booked the Saver 4 but got a Saver 6 on day of pick-up. In the end this didn't cause problems but could have since the vehicle is longer and we booked all campings and ferries based on the max length of Saver 4.

2) Kitchen cooking pan was pretty bad, easy burning of food. Also the kitchen towels were not very good.

What made it a great experience:
- Very good customer service
- Sensible damage inspection, so definitely not trying to rip you off
- Well maintained and good quality RV's

From the handover to the return in Vancouver, everything was perfect. The briefing by the advisor Joel was thorough and very friendly. The camper was in excellent condition. Everything worked perfectly and was really well thought out. The manual was in German, so you could read it at any time. There was a hotline for the worst-case scenario. We were thrilled! And we are already planning a trip for next year with the whole family and then with two campers!

A clean, fairly new RV. Fully furnished. Everything worked perfectly. Both the reception and service at Canadream in Vancouver and Calgary were good

Good service, good RV, easy checkin proces. On arrival at the rental station it was our turn almost on the indicated time so we could leave within an hour.

Our MHX RV was in perfect condition, we had no problem. The pickup went well, agent very helpful and took time to explain the basic functionality of the RV. Our only complaint is concerning all the extras that we feel obligated to take like windshield coverage , road side assistance and platinum package which should be included, also the kitchen ($115) and linen kit ($85 per person) are expensive and should also be included with the rental. The $45 per day insurance or $3000-5000 deposit is also a bit too much. All of these extra costs leaves a bitter taste to a otherwise great RV vacation.

The collection point is not easy to get to, and there is no shuttle to and from airport.
Some equipment should be included such as a 'dog bone' electric connector.
The monitors on the black and grey tanks were totally inaccurate. Privacy curtains not very good.
Otherwise, staff were good and efficient.

The team on the ground at reception & pick-up/drop-off were fantastic. So friendly and helpful.
The RV was exactly as we expected and worked well for us. Would recommend.

Relatively new vehicles, well maintained, everything is working as expected. Not on the cheaper side, but very reliable.

The campervan was one of the highlights of our holiday. Three weeks in a TCA campervan was a fantastic experience. Plenty of room for two people. Excellent explanations and service from a customer-focused team. Worth repeating!

The TruckCamper from CanaDream was the perfect vehicle for our dream holiday in Canada West.
The landscapes, the mountains, the animals, ... were unforgetable moments of our mind.

We rented the SVC (Super Camper Van) for 21 nights and got an unwanted “upgrade” at pick-up to the MHC which is very spacious for 2 people (with much less visibility out front) but somewhat difficult to imagine for 4 adults and 2 kids as advertised. In summary this is a very luxurious vehicle with all the trimmings included. The booking and registration process was very efficient online and an earlier pickup on arrival possible for an extra charge. All “add-ons” in equipment, service and insurance coverage are however charged separately, even the basic linen and very limited kitchen kit. Nevertheless, we advise selecting the premium plus option and more since this makes life so much easier and relaxed during the rental and the drop-off. Staff were friendly and helpful during pick-up somewhat less so during drop-off. A few things you should be aware of:
A vehicle manual is not included but positions of most of the buttons and instruments are different from most smaller cars. The position of the parking brake is awkward and releasing it is difficult since there is not enough space for knees and legs in the small driver’s cockpit. A tracking device(?) attached close to the parking brake came off all the time.
There is no explanation for the Sony instrument, discovering that it served as a rear camera was by chance, strangely enough no GPS based Navigation tool was included which turned out to be essential in all the cities, renters should be advised to bring their own as we did. Otherwise, the accessories are much appreciated items, e.g. the microwave/convection oven and generator. The capacity of the freshwater tank is very limited (partly due to loss of water during bumpy rides) even for just 2 people whereas the capacity of the propane gas tank seemed to be unlimited despite a lot of cooking activities.
In summary, renting this vehicle from this rental company was a pleasant experience.

Vehicle was was good except the side door let air in causing a high pitch whistler sound. Shower door wouldn't close which would bang whilst driving. Hopefully it gets fixed for the next customer.
