Canadian tire has become more of a regular box store . It used to be the go-to place if you're working on your car and needed parts. Now automotive is the smallest department in the store and keeping... See more

Strong dissatisfaction regarding Auto (Center Point Mall)…
Strong dissatisfaction regarding Auto services (Center Point Mall), the costs or being forced to purchase products, receiving charges for work or being billed for things like excessive labour time . Never go and refer them to anybody for doing inspection because they are just want to hunt the customers to charge them to sell their product for completing inspection.
Furthermore, their behaviour and interactions involved rude or unprofessional and quite disappointing.

A completely useless service that leaves you stranded. I paid for the Gold Family Plan to ensure my entire family was fully covered. I found out the hard way during a breakdown in the middle of rush hour—after waiting on hold for 21 minutes—that my truck is not eligible for a tow.
They refused service because my Chevy 2500 has a GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) over 8,000 lbs. My actual curb weight is 7,400 lbs. I work in the auto repair business and deal with towing companies daily; this vehicle is no different to tow than any other passenger vehicle under 10,000 lbs.
To make matters worse, their marketing brochures claim you are "covered no matter what vehicle you are in." That is incredibly misleading. I had to sit on the side of a busy road during rush hour, call my own tow truck, and pay entirely out of pocket. Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance added massive aggravation to an already stressful situation. Avoid this plan if you drive a truck.

I was injured due to their documented negligence, compensated via a settlement, and then banned by the dealer in retaliation for speaking out. Corporate Customer service less than helpful. They claim to be unbiased but clearly and factually are biased.
Abysmal customer service
I actually should leave no star at all! Absolutely abysmal customer service at the Kelowna Store. Had to flag down a guy from across the floor for help, he got on his walkie talkie and said somebody from automotive will be right here to assist. 10 minutes Iater no body comes, I go automotive counter, 2 guys having a chin wag. I asked for help and the employee says “ you will have push the red button”. I said in not so nice words my dissatisfaction with the response, a manager then came over and asked me leave. I said no problem buddy. Then went Andre’s got what I wanted in and out of store in 5 minutes. Tell me to push a button? Well that employee pushed mine and he got the appropriate response, well deserved. I will now make a rule never a Canadian Tire store again!
I love my Canadian Tire in Langford
I love my Canadian Tire in Langford, BC. Well organized, friendly staff and competitive prices

I had an extremely bad experience with CT at the Lawrence Ellen Mall. My husband and I went into the store asking where they sell Watering Cans for flowers, and the employee had no idea what we were talking about; he also had earplugs in and said he couldn't hear me. So I raised my voice, and he yelled at me that I was screaming, which was not true. I am a 70+ year old woman with serious disabilities. My husband then asked, and he told us that he was not willing to help either of us, and he kept following us and yelling at us that we were rude. He was a bully, and he should be fired immediately for treating my 80-plus-year-old husband like garbage. It's on camera; I suggest the store review it.
it must be the shittyj
it must be the shitty. site ever. there is NO search par!!! never mind that if you buy something worth a lot of money. like a dirt bike or somthing. and say it brakes on the way home after buying it. your on your own. im not making that up at all. it happened to me. and it was the smallest thing that broke. with in 10 mins of leaving store. i took it back. and was told to call the maker of the dirt bike.
Deplorable inadequate customer service.
Deplorable inadequate customer service.
Called the auto parts center by wading through menus.Only to get someone say , please hold and hang up. They don't come back. Every once in a while , somebody at the front counter will answer and put me back through to the auto parts where they will say please hold and not come back again. I wasted a half hour last night and didn't get through. The same thing. happened this morning after calling about five or six times. Don't waste your breath , calling these guys for parts. I wasted an hour of time just to try to get a simple price. Canadian Tire is AWFUL. They really need to get their phone game together.
Their price on a refurbished alternator was double that of half a dozen other places online.
If you want to be frustrated and angry deal with Canadian Tire
Canadian tire /cote des neiges Montréal
I wish I could write a positive review of Canadian Tire on Côte des Neiges, but my recent experience was far from pleasant. I just expanded by 700,000 . I asked the cashier if I could run some errands, when I come back she could find someone to help at the door right there not even a minute she agreed.
I went to do my errands and returned, only to find the cashier gone. I spoke to another cashier, but her demeanour suggested she was the manager. She was rude and unhelpful, and her face seemed perpetually unhappy. She even asked others to come over, but one of them responded in French, “je ne pense pas être un bon idée.” They were perfectly fine with me speaking English, as I’m fluent in both languages.
Overall, my experience at Canadian Tire on Côte des Neiges was disappointing. The expansion was great, but the customer service was terrible.
They sold me a boom box that was…
They sold me a boom box that was defective and would only give me a credit. They should have returned my money. I had the boom box only for an hour. I did not use it. The Manager and the Clerk at Canadian Tire Heron road were rude. They don't care about their customers.
Will not cover manufactures warranty if they didn’t install
I have a tire that was purchased about a year ago and is now separating and not repairable . I went to my Canadian tire store a bought it at and , they claim, that since they did not install the tire, they will not action the manufacturers warranty. Last time a buy tires from these guys
Overall Canadian Tire in store…
Overall Canadian Tire in store experience has been good for the past 10 years. However the on line website is a major pain to use. Best to redo it.
I have never experienced a return…
I have never experienced a return process this terrible.
I purchased a generator from Canadian Tire, and after the very first use, it started leaking oil. A brand-new generator should not be leaking oil, period.
What should have been a simple return turned into weeks of being bounced around. The store told me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer then told me to go back to the store. When neither would take responsibility, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Even then, I was sent back to the store, then to corporate, and then back again. Everyone seems more interested in passing the problem to someone else than actually helping the customer.
Here’s the part I don’t understand: I didn’t buy the generator from the manufacturer—I bought it from Canadian Tire. Why am I expected to chase down a manufacturer for a product that was defective out of the box? Canadian Tire took my money, so Canadian Tire should stand behind what it sells.
It’s unbelievable that a customer has to fight this hard just to return a defective product. Other retailers simply inspect the item and process the return or exchange. Canadian Tire has made this an exhausting, frustrating experience that has wasted countless hours of my time.
This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in shopping at Canadian Tire. If this is how customers are treated when they receive a defective product, I will think twice before making another major purchase here. A company of this size should be embarrassed by how poorly this situation has been handled.
Do better. Stand behind the products you sell instead of forcing your customers into an endless cycle of finger-pointing and excuses.
We are regular customers at this store…
We are regular customers at this store (Dundas and Dixie) 20 years. Earlier on today we made a purchase at the store of $80. One of the purchases was a dog toy $14. It lasted not even 2 hours. So we went back to the store for a refund. That's when the problems started. Right off the bat she refused to give us a refund. This didn't sit well with my wife who was clearly agitated and was upset with the situation. The service rep accused my wife of swearing at her. (to my recollection bull shit is not a swear word). Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars in this store and others. To be treated like this is an insult.
Canadian Tire definition of a backpack!
Canadian Tire managers need to train their staff on what is a backpack! And if managers don’t know then ask head office. What are the dimensions of a backpack in Canadian Tire’s opinion.I have several purses, nope not packs, purses, some with 2 straps and if I want I can wear these purses as a pack. They are all smaller than most women’s handbags/purses. Today I was asked to leave mine in the locker. Been using said “purse” aka “backpack” to Canadian tire store for past 4 months in my city and actually 3 times in a week at same Canadian tire. Stop the bs. Give us the proper measurements of a pack not some bored spaced out employee who sees a woman wearing what she perceives is a theft bag. I’m 75 years old. I’m not locking my purse in a locker, shopping then going back to locker to get it to have my wallet/phone to pay. By the way Canadian tire all other stores I shopped at with backpack rules didn’t have an issue with my purse/handbag.
I would like to express my frustration…
I would like to express my frustration with the level of customer service I have consistently experienced with Canadian Tire Bank.
Every time I contact your customer service department, I am left feeling uncomfortable and stressed rather than supported. Instead of receiving clear assistance, I often feel that I am being questioned unnecessarily, transferred multiple times, or treated in a manner that lacks empathy and professionalism.
As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and to receive helpful, courteous service. Unfortunately, my repeated experiences have not met those expectations. These interactions have caused me significant frustration and have made me reluctant to contact your customer service, even when I need assistance.
I respectfully ask that you review the quality of your customer service and ensure that representatives communicate with customers in a more respectful, patient, and understanding manner. I hope my feedback will help improve the experience for other customers in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I look forward to your response and to seeing improvements in your customer service.
I went ct for tire rotation and about…
I went ct for tire rotation and about an hour later a person came and told me there were problems with the front end because the tires weren’t wearing properly and I asked for a quote to fix it and if they didn’t have time to do it today I would book it for another day. They said that they would have to do a diagnostic which would cost $95.00. I mean come on it’s already in the air and I’m sure any mechanic wouldn’t take any more than 5 minutes to see what the problems were. Anyway I went to a different tire place and they didn’t charge me anything to tell me what the problem was and had everything fixed in three hours, now thats what I call good service.
Poorly trained Kapuskasing staff and horrible…
Incompetent staff and horrible customer service even from the General Manager Philip at the Kapuskasing store! July 27th, 2026 I was supposed to receive a refund of $22.59 for an item that was unavailable, instead they double billed me $192.05 for the entire order # 0000167991375. After spending nearly a 1/2 hour on the phone with the General Manager, I was told there is nothing they can do and "I" have to call head office! Canadian Tire Kapuskasing expects the customer to waist his time solving the problem they created! I greatly regret shopping at CTC & Philip just cost his store a loss of over $10,000 a year in sales from me as I'm done with CTC, it's far to aggravating to deal with them, when I have a problem at Amazon, they typically fix it before I have to contact them & if I do need to contact them, they instantly correct the problem!
Turns out Philip was not only of no help, he was wrong, I didn't need to waist hours of my valuable time on the phone with CTC head office CS as it turned out someone at the CTC store in Kapuskasing double billed me instead of issuing a refund, if Philip had done his job instead of blowing me off my issue could have been solved quickly, creating a huge deterrent for me to NOT buy from CTC Kapuskasing!
Kudos to Brian a supervisor at CTC On line sales support for figuring out & solving the problem.
I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STAR
I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STAR
Yesterday, I purchased a bicycle from Canadian Tire and took it for a ride with my children. While riding, I changed gears and the chain came off. I almost fell. Because this was a serious safety concern, I no longer felt comfortable keeping the bicycle and returned to the store the same day to request a return.
I was told that the bicycle was a final sale and could not be returned. When I asked about this, the Customer Service employee told me that there should have been an A4-sized printed notice at the time of checkout stating that bicycles were final sale.
However, I did not receive or see any such notice when I paid for the bicycle. The cashier did not give me any document explaining that the bicycle was final sale, did not verbally inform me of this restriction, and simply provided me with my receipt.
I also specifically explained to the employee that showing me this notice after I had already purchased the bicycle did not resolve the issue. If the information was important enough to prevent a return, then it should have been clearly provided to me before or at the time I completed the purchase. Showing me a printed notice only after I attempted to return the bicycle does not prove that I was actually informed of the policy when I bought it.
Furthermore, while we were choosing the bicycle, we asked a Canadian Tire employee for assistance inflating the tires. She was directly involved in helping us with the bicycle, yet she also did not mention that bicycles were final sale or that the purchase could not be returned. At no point during the entire process of selecting, preparing, or purchasing the bicycle was I clearly told that it was final sale.
I was asked to wait for the manager. The staff member told me that the manager would be in at 8:00 a.m. the following morning. I specifically emphasized that the earlier the better because I wanted the situation resolved as soon as possible. I left the bicycle at the store because I had no practical choice at that point.
However, no one contacted us and we received no update whatsoever. We returned to the store ourselves at approximately 10:30 a.m.
While I was waiting in line for Customer Service because another customer was being helped, two employees looked at me and quietly discussed something between themselves. No one came over to speak with me or explain what was happening. Immediately afterward, one of those employees went through a door behind them and brought my bicycle out. Only then did they begin speaking to me about the situation.
I cannot say exactly what was being discussed, but the timing and circumstances made it very clear to me that the conversation was about the situation involving my bicycle. I found the interaction extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. If staff members were discussing a customer’s situation, I would expect them to communicate directly with the customer rather than quietly discussing it while the customer was standing there waiting.
When I explained again that the chain had come off while I was riding the bicycle and that I had almost fallen, I was told that the bicycle “looks fine.” I found this response completely dismissive. The fact that the bicycle appeared fine while sitting in the store does not address the fact that the chain had already come off during a ride. This was a safety concern, not simply a matter of whether the bicycle looked fine at that moment.
I was offered an exchange, which I declined because I no longer felt comfortable keeping the bicycle. When I requested a return, I was again told that this was not possible. When I asked what other options were available, I was ultimately given store credit. I felt that I had no meaningful alternative and was pressured into accepting the store credit.
I was told that the store credit could be used at any Canadian Tire location, but I was not clearly informed that it was only valid for one year. This is important information that should have been communicated clearly before I was required to accept store credit as the only available resolution.
I am asking Canadian Tire Customer Relations to investigate this incident, including:
* How the final-sale policy for bicycles is communicated to customers before purchase;
* Whether the A4 notice was actually displayed and clearly visible at the time of my transaction;
* Whether the cashier was expected to provide or explain this information;
* How a bicycle with a reported mechanical safety concern was handled;
* The lack of follow-up after I was told the manager would be in at 8:00 a.m.;
* The conduct and communication of the staff involved;
* And the resolution I was given after I reported the safety concern.
I Absolutely Agree With "Sarah…
I Absolutely Agree With "Sarah Mourning" And Her Comment. I Carry A Small Shoulder Bag Similar To A Woman's Purse.And Time After Time Felt So Wrongly Judged And Insulted When I Am Told That I Have To Leave It At Customer Service...That Now When I Am Told To Check It In...I Reply "NO...And If You Feel It Necessary To Strip Search Me On My Way Out...Go The F*k Ahead"
