Don't book with this company!

Don't book with this company! Their website is very unclear for booking a camper. After you pay for a booking request they steal your deposit even if it was not sure the camper was available during the request. You receive your confirmation just before weekend and your deposit is taken. Be aware of this company!

Poor customer service

The initial booking process was quick and simple and we’re happy with the price we payed but me and my partner have been trying to get hold of them with multiple phone calls and emails over the last month and haven’t had anything back. We need to adjust our pick up date are picking up our camper in Perth Australia in 24 days. It’s causing a bit of anxiety as we would like to have this confirmed before we fly out to Australia. Every time we’ve phone it goes to answerphone and says someone will contact back after leaving a message. Which hasn’t been the case.

Payment error

I haven't made my booking yet as I had a payment error and I reached out the customer service to help me out with the refund. Kasia is an excellent assistant and very pleasant person. She made her best to short my issue out.

Needs improvement

It’s impossible to reach anyone. You can’t make changes directly with the supplier if needed. They direct you back to Campstar and their non existent customer service. Campstar only communicate via email. Even if you get a response on chat they direct you to send an email with details of your request. Then you get an automated response that average response times are 10 business days. What a joke. How is this is customer service? It’s entirely unacceptable. When you are trying to organise a holiday, dealing with so many variables and complexities, you don’t need the headache of a company with no consideration for the customer. 10 days….bloody hell. That’s how long we are away on holiday!! ——Update—- I have been contacted by Campstar who have acknowledged they need to do better. They are expanding rapidly and have had challenges managing demand during high season. I hope they manage to resolve these issues and other customers have a better experience than I have had to date.

Very unimpressed!

The amount was only pre-authorised on your card and was later released from our side.
