Worst experience ever!
Worst experience ever!
Had multiple discussions with their customer "service" about bedsets (pillows and duvets) whether they are included or not. Got confirmation that only linen are not included - you can rent (at €35/day!) or you can bring your own, so we decided the latter.
After pickup of the mobile home and on our way to a ferry, we noticed that there weren't any pillows or duvets. We called the rental company (Roadsurfer) and told them about the situation, but they didn't have any in stock. We could come back the day after (not possible due to reservations) or we could obtain the missing items, and get a reimbursement of CAD 50, which we did.
Upon return we discussed the situation with the station manager of the rental company, and decided that we wanted to get a full refund from Campstar instead.
Back home we contacted Campstar, but instead of just reimbursing the full amount (and we didn't purchase goose down products!) they directed us to Roadsurfer - which seemed quite arrogant, since we rented through Campstar! After pointing this out, and sending proof of purchase, they eventually responded (after sending a couple of notifications) and Campstar wanted us to provide extensive information about purchase, rental period etc. And it was send from the exact same person who initially confirmed the inclusion of the items!
BTW - we had a great trip, and the Roadsurfer support was really helpful in the few situations we needed it.

Long difference process where you dont know if you will get what you have chosen
The communication wasn't good. We asked for 3 vehicles until we got a yes. It's a long process and exhausting if you dont get the van you chosed and waited for 2 days.

online rental experience
This review is only for the rental process, as I haven't picked up the vehicle yet.
I think the range of vehicles is excellent, and the search tool is very user-friendly and responsive. The prices also appear to be the best on the market. However, there's very limited information available on the vehicles, the same goes for the rental terms, and the website has a few glitches when you try to set different dates or times.
