BEWARE! APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICES-CALGARY IN 81 LEGACY BLVD SE

Don't use this company. Never trust!
I HAVE A SAMSUNG MICROWAVE NOT RUNNING . First call them charged for $126 PAID. After 10 mins Diagnosis said need to change part THERMOSTAT DE47-20059B. TOLD ME THAT PARTS HAVE TO BE WAITING 4-5 WEEKS. BUT PARTS THERE ARE IN CALGARY! I BOUGHT PARTS READY AND EMAIL THEM (APPLIANCE REPAIRE SERVICE) FOR 30 DAYS LAB WARRANTY APPOINTMENT . THEY TOLD ME THEY DO NOT COVER IT LAB WARRANTY. BECAUSE THAT PARTS ARE NOT SUPPLIED BY THEM. IN CANADA ORDER PARTS ONLINE ONLY MAX 10 DAYS NEEDED. THEY NEED 4-5 WEEKS? WHERE DO THEY GET FROM ??? THEY ASK ME PAY SECOND TIME LAB FEES IS $204 PLUSE GST AGAIN IF THEY INSTALL PARTS.
THEY ARE NOT HONEST! THEY USE FRAUD TREATIES.

We would like to clarify several points regarding your service.

The initial $126 payment was the diagnostic/service fee, which covered the technician’s visit, inspection, and diagnosis of the microwave. The technician diagnosed the issue as requiring thermostat DE47-20059B.

At the time the quote was provided, this part was out of stock through our official Samsung parts distributor, with an estimated delivery time of approximately 3–4 weeks. Availability from third-party sellers may be different, but we cannot guarantee the authenticity, condition, or compatibility of parts purchased independently.

You later chose to purchase the part yourself. We advised that we can install a customer-supplied part; however, repairs using customer-supplied parts are not covered by our warranty, because we cannot guarantee the quality, condition, compatibility, or performance of a part that was not supplied by us.

There also appears to be a misunderstanding regarding the labour charge. The $204 was the total labour charge, not an additional $204 on top of what had already been paid. Since you had already paid $126, the remaining labour balance to install your supplied part would have been approximately $78 plus applicable GST.

For comparison, the original quote if we supplied the OEM Samsung part was:

Total after parts and labour discount: $255.70
Already paid: $126.00
Remaining balance: $129.70

We always provide customers with the option to proceed or decline the repair after the diagnosis and quote. Our intention was to clearly explain the available options and costs, not to charge for services that were not authorized.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

The technician spent about 10 minutes in my home and determined the ice machine needed replacement. Nothing was tested or taken apart for 250 dollars. I read the terms and conditions and understand this fee would be applied to the repair which was quoted at an exorbitant amount (I looked up the cost of the ice machine from the same supplier they would purchase from). After further research, it was the solenoid that needed replacement. Not exactly sure what I paid for, 250 for travel time, opening the fridge door and the wrong diagnosis?

I would not use those guys ever

I would not use those guys ever. I called on Friday and made an appointment for Tuesday between 9-11am. I got no call and no one showed, I called and they said I’m not a customer of coast appliance, and no one knows about my appointment, they took all my info. The worst company to deal with. We called another place.

Avoid this money sucking company

One of my stove's burner is not working so I contacted this company. After the diagnosis, they told me that the total charge should be $400, for what? $200 for the parts, which later I bought it in a local store for $150. $200 for the labor, for less than 5 minutes work?
