The customer service agents really give you service. Someone backed into my parked car in a parking lot and it was a totally easy event.
I have been with Cal Cas for over 33 years. I have never had an accident, claim etc. I have never been in the "rears" or late on my payments. They started
charging me for being in a fire zone and raising it every time I renewed. Then recently they raised my insurance $105.00 a month. Nothing changed for them to raise my insurance. I decided to go to another company. I called to cancel my insurance on the 6th of the month, because my payment for Cal Cas was due on the 10th of the month. They said I had to make another payment even though I cancelled my insurance before the next due date. Which didn't make any sense!!! I payed it so I could cancel my insurance and decided to follow up with getting my payment back later. Do you think they said "I'm so sorry you are cancelling your policy because you have been a loyal customer for over 33 years" NOPE nothing. Later I received another bill in the mail that said I had cancelled it on the 6th, (before the due date of the 10th.) But I still owed another month of insurance, after I had already paid for an extra month when I cancelled my policy. When I called the agent said I had to pay another month because my account was in the "REARS" I had explained to her my account was not in the "REARS" and has never been in the rears and I already paid twice this month. And usually, (always) you pay for your insurance one month ahead so you would have coverage for the upcoming month, not the month that had passed!!!! Finally I guess she finally caught on and checked and I did make all the payments, she apologized several times. And I got her to send me something that had a zero balance. But in my records they still owed me for the extra payment I'd given them after my insurance was cancelled. She did not say anything about me being a loyal customer for 33 years.....

I’ve had to utilize my insurance for some water damage and they were extremely helpful on the matter.
Two years ago I had several auto claims and most companies would have canceled me. However due to me being with Calcas for a long time they choose to simply raise my rates. I appreciate this and will gladly pay these high rates for another year.
Dont get hit by these guys they wont pay you what your owed either bc they dont have enough money or are just to cheap ive had been interactions with geico or triple aaa and ive never have them tell me that they cant authorize a payment and They will just keep calling me every month
Excuse me what I didnt cause this accident and my perfectly great car is now totaled and my niece was with me after losing her mother and brother and my son her cousin were hit and the emotional trauma is still effecting both of us and they actually said so thats the lowest ??? Like really wow after everything i just told thats the only thing he heard and he refuses to settle
Shawn ....
As if our grief wasent bad enough now my vehicle is totaled. Both my niece and I are
experiencing distress, pain and suffering, humiliation, sleep loss, anxiety, ptsd, depression
And that bc we are already going through all this the accident was more traumatic for us than it would be for others.
They offered us nothing they bearly covered my vehicle and now they want to refuse to pay anything they will just keep calling till I agree to their number which is a nuisance offer not an appropriate settlement

Your dedication to easy, reliable service is outstanding. I appreciate your ability to be ready when I need your care.
All the customer service reps are easier work with very knowledgeable and always help.
Whenever talking with someone at California Casualty they are always professional and willing to help.
We once had a fire close bye and California Casualty called to ask if we needed anything?
Customer service is always excellent- very caring and always a wonderful outcome. The insurance coverage and cost is reasonable.
Always responsive to any questions. Automobile rates seems a bit high, but understand they are, for me, due to my daily 76 mile round trip work commute which should go down when I retire in June 2027.
