18 months after ordering a native mix of 10 eggs, receiving credit to reorder this year after no show last year, I just received 4 eggs that feel like they've been cooked in the RM van in tma tiny airtight plastic tube stuck to a bit of paper. Wish me luck any of the half I paid for hatch. Also appear to be 5 attached eggs so doubt it's a mix either

Extremely disappointing experience. I pre-ordered 80 butterfly eggs back in January, and was later informed that only 50 eggs would be shipped. It's now been four weeks, and the tracking number still shows that the package hasn’t been received by the postal service. Despite contacting Bugs and Butterflies four times, I haven’t received a single response. It’s incredibly frustrating to be left waiting and hoping for something I was genuinely excited to share with my students as part of teaching them about the butterfly life cycle. I feel scammed and deeply let down by the lack of communication and delivery.

These reviews are accurate. This place is a scam. I ordered back in Feb and was told I would be expecting in 4 weeks. I received no responses and I’m definitely going to make a public review on my personal successful platform. Beyond disappointed and I feel bad for these baby caterpillars.
Also not to mention, I never received them. And they went “missing in the mail”.
Save your money and go somewhere else.

Theives and scammers is what this company are... they don't even deserve one star but I have to give them one to write this review. I placed an order for European Tree Frog Tadpoles at the beginning of May 2024 and I have received an excuse nearly every month as to why my order was delayed up until the end of August when I received this message:

"Hi there,

Apologies for the delay getting in touch, most of my time is taken up by husbandry at this time of year with thousands of larvae on the go!

I've supplied the oldest orders for tadpoles however have not been able to supply yours from the current brood due to numbers - we will be spawning the frogs again in about a week so more tadpoles will be ready in September from this new batch. To compensate for the delay, I have added 5 tadpoles to your order - thank you for your patience & if anything changes I will be in touch.

After which I had heard nothing and they appeared to drop off the face of the earth. And since they failed to supply my order within the then current season I sent multiple emails requesting a refund all of which were ignored.

And then a few weeks ago I receive an email saying they have converted my un honoured ordered into store credit... why? So you can mess me about all over again? I WANT my MONEY back!!

I have had a tank setup in anticipation for the Tadpoles since May last year, I have even raised a few batches of tropical fish fry in the tank in the interim period while waiting for tadpoles, I have had enough!

Ordered over £100 worth of items last year and only 1 arrived. Emailed him this year many times asking for a refund with no response. TERRIBLE service. DO NOT BUY.

We have been waiting over 18 months now for our delivery when you email you just get an automated email there is no phone number…

Butterfly eggs arrived when they became available, as stated all over the website . I was notified of the delivery via email tracker. I can't comment on the outcome as the eggs only arrived.
Not sure why people expect butterflies in winter or the next day after ordering. Use common sense people.

Always had great items and communication from the company but not this time. Spent a small fortune (to me) on Atlas cocoons (had them before and very successful) and not one emerged. I believe they were dead by the time they got here.
Emails are being completely ignored. I'm very disappointed.

This company is blatantly stealing and scamming. No idea how they are still up and running. Can't get ahold of them through email and social media comments/messages are conveniently restricted. They stole my money, refused to answer emails or ship my order, then deleted my order off their website to make it appear like I was never a customer. But I still have emails, bank receipts, etc. If you have been stolen from, REPORT THEM TO ACTION FRAUD UK, SHOPIFY, AND FLAG THEIR SOCIAL MEDIAS.

Like the other reviews. No contact, poor customer service, no delivery.

The website has no address and I'd be amazed if this is even a real trader anymore

I placed my order and never received the item. It’s been 3weeks and still nothing. Tried reaching out to the seller multiple times—no response at all. This has been incredibly frustrating and feels like a scam. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this seller at all costs..

scam- avoid... they take the money and dont deliver or even reply.This isnt only my experience- it seems to happen to a lot of people... Its significant there's no phone number or address given..

Ordered from them last year. Was given the Butterflies in April 2024, but never received my Moths which were due in late April. Said there was a problem with the breeder. Why say they in stock when they clearly not in stock!? They'll happily take your money but won't refund you and don't reply back. If I could give 0 stars if would.

Avoid this vendor! Don’t even take the chance. They may have been reliable in the past, but that is no longer the case. They blame their poor performance on “recent health issues” however, recent is now a year ago. I never received my order (took my money though) & contact is non existent. They have an automated reply set up to the only way to contact them (email) which tells you they don’t respond due to excessive orders and emails. It’s a complete scam with the everyday “Just stocked!” website.

Avoid. Money taken and no communication. Emails just get an auto response that sends you to an FAQ page. No item received after 6 months.

Absolute scam. While my first few orders went well, although some livestock never emerged, the last few orders were never fulfilled. The website changed and when trying to see my orders, there is no more history. I have apparently a store credit that is impossible to use on the site and the guy will never respond to any emails except to say that he's in bad health blah blah blah. AVOID

I got a variety of 10 moth species cocoons. Only a few emerged and the rest didn't,when emailed I got no response. Very bad webiste and seller

Do not buy from this company.
They took my money around 6 month ago and I still have not recieved my order. I have tried emailing but recieve copy and pasted responses that do not answer any of my questions. excuses include being very busy but I still recieve marketing emails so they are still taking on new customers when they cannot keep up with orders they have already.
Extremely disapointed. I genuinely believe 1 star is too generous.
If it werent for the positive reviews ive read, I would suspect they are a scam, but they are just unprofessional.

Wish I could saw this reviews earlier but past year waiting really disappointed paid £120 no refund always apology emails never get back to me I commented on facebook page they blocked me from there I try to warned them. Please it’s a scam not a genuine website.

waiting 12 months now for a £200 order and only very occaisonal vague emails. have been asking for a refund for 6 months. sounds like lots of people have the same experience. either a scammer or one of those people who put things up for sale on their website that they don't have in stock and then wait until they can buy it cheaper of someone else. If you do buy from him then email first to check he has it in stock
