I had a very stressful and disappointing experience with BudgetAir. My parents’ flight from Abu Dhabi to Kozhikode on 8 March was cancelled by the airline due to the current situation. The tickets were booked earlier on 14 January 2026 through BudgetAir to secure better rates.
Instead of assisting us with rebooking on the next available flight, BudgetAir immediately processed a refund without considering our request for rescheduling.
According to the airline policy, free rescheduling was allowed since the cancellation was not from the passenger side, but BudgetAir did not provide any proper support during this stressful situation.
I tried contacting customer care multiple times to confirm the flight status and discuss rebooking options, but unfortunately there was no proper response or assistance. Meanwhile, BudgetAir did not offer any alternative solution.
This situation caused a lot of panic and stress for our family, especially since my parents were supposed to travel urgently. Instead of helping customers during difficult situations, they simply processed refunds and left us to deal with the problem ourselves.
I hope BudgetAir.com improves its customer support and assistance during emergencies, especially when passengers depend on travel agencies for help.

They said due to technical issue the booking did not go through .. its been 10 date of follow up about 20+ email exchange of the same we apologise.. we are working on your booking id .. I am not sure if I will ever get Back my money but to save others from misery adding my review .. let’s not make scammers rich with our hard earned money !

AWFUL experience with BudgetAir. They altered our flight times and airport, which meant we would miss our connecting flights. With no alternatives available that day, we had to buy new flights and rebook hotels at great expense. We received a message to say they had cancelled flights. BudgetAir although sending us a flight cancellation notice has refused to refund us, leaving us out of pocket and incredibly frustrated. AVOID BudgetAir and Aerolineas at all costs.

Booked through Kayak as they were the cheapest flight. Paid with a credit card and they took payment. An hour later we received an email stating the flights were no longer available and we would get a refund but it would take ten days. All these affiliate sites just seem to be there to get your money, keep it for a but and then give you it back. Just book direct with the airlines
Absolutely disgusting Customer Service
Absolutely disgusted with Budget Air’s customer service. Having undergone urgent surgery on the 25th November I was unable to fly on the 9th December.
I first contacted Budget Air on the 30th November. Within a 10 day period they were not able to help me change my flights and I lost my flight as it had already departed by the time they responded even though I was promised multiple times I would be contacted before the flight departed. Customer service does not stick to time scales given.
Still not resolved on the 15th December and the problem is ongoing over 2 weeks later. No urgent action from Budget Air.
The customer service ethos is to send you round in circles constantly. Told to speak to the airline, go on online chat, wait for a specialist team to contact me for each one to tell me to refer back to the other. Agents do not read previous messages, reply with utter nonsense, outright lie and get facts wrong.
No sympathy or concern has been shown at any point due to the medical situation despite being told their policy is to request medical documents and do a medical waiver. This has still not been requested.
Absolutely flabbergasted at the complete incompetence of the “customer service”. There is no customer service! Still being told to go and use online chat… what a joke!

No service after the ticket has been purchased, no reasonable information on the phone, e-mails are sent in a "traffic jam". If you want to make a complaint, you are referred back to the airline and they refer you back here. Companies like this should be blacklisted or banned completely.

Don't book even if they offer a cheaper price on kayak. They charge a premium over what the airline charges if anything needs to be changed, take zero responsibility if there are any changes with the airline but worst of all their customer service is pretty vile and I don't use that word lightly. They were pretty threatening with their language, threatening to put the phone down on you, will flat out refuse to take responsibility for anything so basically once you book with them you pray that there are no changes needed to be made. My flight got bought up an hour early but I guess since I was booking with this travel agent I got no alert of this change either from the airline or budget air. So I ended up missing the flight and having to pay an additional $1200 to rebook for the same time the next day. It was pretty traumatic and throughout it all Budgetair was not only unhelpful but nasty. My experience was in May last year but trustpilot's calendar won't go back to that date.
Genuinely terrible - do not use them!
I booked the trip via SkyScanner and the BudgetAir website said I'd receive confirmation within 24 hours. The money was taken from my account but no confirmation received. I contacted their CS Team to be told the 'processing time was too long and so the booking was cancelled.' I was then told I should have received an email with information regarding the refund due. This email did not arrive. I have since requested an update and received what seems to be their standard reply of 'the airline misquoted your requested seats and we had to cancel. Refunds take 5-10 business days! I will await the refund but have no idea when or if it will appear. Based on other online reviews, I won't be holding my breath.

Had to cancel my flight due to legit Medical conditions. Was promised a partial refund, glad I have all the chat screen shots. After waiting for 2months and no contact, got in touch via chat and my refund has been cancelled. Spoke via chat again with 3 different people, wasted 2hours and was promised a email from escalations team, guess what 3 weeks later no contact.
Spoke to them again to find out that, they can refund me $8 per person for a $1500 flight. What an absolute joke.
Please don't use this platform.

It’s a third party booking. Found on a comparison website, and booked a Ryan air flight. Tried to use the booking ref on the Ryan air app. Would not work. Went back to my budget air emails which told me to use my email address and booking ref, or if that didn’t work use the email provided on the confirmation email, there wasn’t one.
I realised something wasn’t right, so looked online to find reviews on trust pilot having exactly the same issues.
Checked my emails to realise I had two emails from 1 month ago saying my Ryan air account had been accessed by another device. I knew for certain this wasn’t me as I was with family all day and wasn’t using my phone.
I rang Ryan air customer services which led me to automated choices. It stated twice that Ryan air does not use third parties and I would need to verify myself online first before even speaking to someone. So I put the phone down and followed the verify Ryan air steps online, it cost 0.59.
Following the steps I took a picture of my passport, a selfie, a live video following steps required, eg- smile, turn left etc, and finally it asked to confirm the payment method stated is the same as mine…. Which it wasn’t. After I clicked ‘no’ it is not the same, it stated third parties often use their own payment methods to book. After I had verified it gave me full access to Ryan air app and my booking. PHEW! I go away in one week, and that was a stressful few hours. But I don’t want anyone to go through that, holidays aren’t meant to be stressful. I would advise to book directly with the airline in future, that’s what I will be doing, and pay the extra. Hope this helps

They cancelled my original ticket, never issued a new one and on top of everything didn't refund a single penny. I cannot emphasise enough how awful this company is. Do not under any circumstance book your flights with them. They sent the wrong name details to Virgin Atlantic for my flight, adding 'MRS' as my middle name (???). I sent over 10 emails and called over 20 times. I was lied to so many times, which Virgin attested to. I spent hours on the phone to a call centre in India (after searching high and low for a phone contact because they don't advertise it or respond to emails). The call centre were only capable of following a script so would not help me, but because of how Budget Air handle the booking, the airline could not do anything to help me. After days of stress that I would not be able to use my £800 flight, I had to drive to the airport myself to speak to Virgin Check in desk the day before my flight. Thank GOD a helpful lady managed to change it. She also did it free of charge, Budget Air said it would cost £135 in their admin fees alone (but they never even got as far as processing my name change which THEY got wrong). I cannot tell you enough not to book through budget air. It is not worth the money saved. I wish I had read a review like this beforehand. This company is a total scam.
