I asked for a quote for our holiday to Egypt and our rep took the time to work out every detail and send it across as soon as she had it done.
When I asked her if she could get the price down, she advised that the flights had gone up on our departure dates and let me know that if we went a few days earlier we would keep our holiday at our original price. That kind of honesty is what keeps me going back to Broadway Travel.

Don't ever ask to Cancel a Holiday
I asked to cancel a holiday one day after I booked it. I was quoted £965 to cancel the holiday, it was 6 months before the date of travel and the original booking was for a total of £1,500. When I queried this I was told it was due to airline policy (this flight will most certainly be re-sold). After a long and detailed conversation with the customer services department I was able to change to another holiday, but I have still paid £800 to cancel the original holiday. I would not use this company again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Good Afternoon Karen and thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. To provide some context, and clarification on the timing and dates, your holiday was booked on 18 February. No contact was made the day after you booked and no request was received to cancel the holiday. Factually, on 21 February, you advised that your partner no longer wished to travel with the airline you had originally selected. We offered an alternative airline, but this option was declined as it would have increased the overall holiday cost. At that stage, we reconfirmed that the airline tickets were non-refundable in line with the airline's rules. This was also explained prior to confirming your booking on 18 February. We confirmed that changing to a different airline would mean the cost of the original flights would be lost, whether the airline resold the seats or not. This is an airline rule and not ours. Over the following days, you contacted us on several occasions to discuss cancelling, amending and alternative travel options. We provided quotations for each option and explained the costs involved before any changes were made. Following further discussions, you advised that a friend had offered the use of an apartment, so we arranged to amend your booking to flights only, based on the option you chose. Karen, we appreciate that airline fare rules can be frustrating, particularly where non-refundable tickets are involved. However, throughout the process we worked to find the most cost-effective solution available and made every effort to preserve as much value from your booking as possible. We are disappointed to read your review, especially given the work put in to resolve your issue and ultimately, we were able to assist in finding an alternative that met your revised travel plans. We trust the above clarifies the situation Karen, however, please contact our Customer Support team again if you require any further assistance.

Found a fair priced holiday through Broadway Travel in Corfu. Once we decided that the hotel and package was suitable the process was very quick and easy to complete. Documents were made available of the internet and if required could be printed. So far pleased with proficient service.

It’s been a very long time since I have booked a holiday over the phone and the experience was so pleasant.

Safely on this occasion the agent wasn’t great.
Safely on this occasion the agent was terrible. I tried to book my holiday through my previous agent however he was busy and passed me through to one of his “trusted” colleges. I done the leg work for the agent, I should have just booked the holiday myself but as a man of my word I promised the agent I would go through him as he booked my previous holiday. The agent in question booked my holiday then called me up with additional charges which could have been avoided. Don’t think I will use Broadway Travel again.

We've carefully reviewed your booking, including listening to the call recordings and the detailed discussions surrounding your transfers, room types, bed configurations, luggage, the various holiday options and prices available, and the additional discount that was applied to secure your booking. At the end of the booking, you asked whether your children would be seated with you or if there was a possibility they could be seated separately. Our agent explained that your 14-year-old is classed as an adult by the airline, meaning a seat reservation would be required to guarantee sitting together. However, when attempting to add the seats, the airline confirmed that a seat reservation charge would also apply to your younger child. To help, we offered to refund the charge for your 14-year-old's seat, allowing you the flexibility to arrange seating directly with the airline if you preferred. Unfortunately, you were unhappy with this option and requested a further discount. Regrettably, we were unable to offer an additional discount, as a discounted price had already been agreed and applied during the booking. This was the maximum discount available, regardless of which member of our team handled the booking. We're sorry that you have been left with this impression, as our aim throughout was to provide you with the best value available, explain all available options, and help you find the holiday that best suited your requirements.
