Brilliant finance advertise in the farming press , offering long term facilities this never happens , exspensive bridging and overvaluing of property are common place. Simon Latham has been procecuted by the FSA , the company do not have a good reputation at all. Avoid AVOID
I work for an MP and have been speaking to numerous 'customers' of Brilliant Finance. Invariably they are farm owners looking for a mortgage. The pattern is the same, Brilliant Finance will broker you a deal, then, after a few years and multiple unregulated mortgages or bridging loans, you will be taken to court and forced out of the farm your family has owned for generations.
A number of other companies should also be avoided as they work together to load up your farm with debt before forcibly taking it from you.
