I had a very disappointing experience with BrightHR. And would not recommend their services.
When I initially signed up, I was told during the sales call that the contract could be cancelled if I did not end up hiring employees, as I was in the early stages of growing my practice. This was an important factor in my decision to proceed.
Following the sudden death of my mother, I had to restructure my business and ultimately no longer required employees or the service. This was an unforeseeable circumstance that significantly changed my business needs. When I reached out regarding this, the company did not honour what was discussed on the original call and declined to review the recorded conversation.
Instead, I was told I still had to continue paying under the contract while not having any employees. The conversation was condescending and aggressive in tone and focused on enforcing payment rather than working being accountable for what was agreed to during the sales call and towards any resolution. No customer service at all, the irony being an HR company, it's comical. Despite explaining that I no longer had employees, I continued to be directed toward services that were no longer relevant to my business, and continued to be bullied and harassed. There was no accountability on their significant error. Each person I spoke to, I had to re-explain the situation every time. It felt like they didn't want to find resolution by not looking into their own mistakes, and this was on several phone call conversation where this was glossed over and completely overlooked. It says a lot about how a company is run, and unprofessional for an organization that specializes in HR services.
I also experienced repeated references to cancellation fees that were never clearly explained or discussed during the sign-up process, along with inconsistent communication between departments, which added to the confusion and frustration.
Overall, my experience lacked in transparency and support, particularly during a very difficult personal time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service to small business owners.
Eleanor answered all my questions and was able to help me quickly and efficiently. Overall, Eleanor provided excellent customer support.
Tyson at BrightHR was fabulous! He really knows his stuff, and he was very patient and helpful. Great service :-)
Do not sign a contract with Bright HR. They use deceptive practices with autorenewals.
Met with Eleanor Alagao to review the BrightHR software and she was very helpful. Easy to understand and had answers to all my questions.
Tyson did a great job introducing our team to BrightSafe, guiding us through the various tools and applications, and answered all our questions. Well done!
Do not use their service's. They are scammers with predatory contracts. I had it in writing with them that my services would be cancelled with no further payments and they agreed that's what they would do. They then continued to take payments. Every time I spoke to them they denied that they agreed to cancel my service's and that I was stuck paying for a service I do not use for another year. I was told on multiple occasions that the person in charge of my account would contact me and that has not happened. They continue to steal money from me to this day.
Love how easy it is to use and speak to their support team
Easy platform to navigate. Their customer support is great and always available
I just met Erica Sano for the first time today and she was able to help me navigate the BrighthHR page. It was the first time I practiced what I have been thought during my training. She was really patient and also friendly. It was a beautiful experience with her.
Hi Bright HR. I'd like to start with the good. For the moment, Bright HR meets my need while I await the services of a single-service provider with HR and fully Payroll in one solution.
I signed up September 15th and was advised by the sales person Thinoth Sathiyalingam of a 1000 referral bonus. I referred him to a friend and never heard back from him - not even to advise that he closed sale with my friend.
I have followed up and even opened a ticket and no one responds.
I did however hear from a sales team member wanting to book me for a sales meeting pertaining to HR documents / contracts. They went ahead and booked me for the meeting and to my shock Thinoth was on the calendar meeting.
I found this very distasteful since he's clearly avoiding the topic of the referral fee. Due to this, I declined the sales meeting and receive a pushy call from someone advising the situation was "literally" resolved in a bid to get me to attend the sales meeting. That was 2 week ago and still nothing.
I have to share the pushy sales tactics, lack of ownership for the referral fee is very distasteful and unprofessional.
I'm only posting this here because of a run around internally. Hoping you can do something to address the issue promptly. Any assistance you an offer would be greatly appreciated!
The app constantly logs me out, crashes, or won’t load at all. If I can’t access my schedule or clock in, what’s the point of even having it? I don't know why my company bought this software.

Pushy salespeople that don't respond after the contract is signed. Very hard to cancel. They wait until the cooling off period is almost done before they onboard you.
