**AVOID BRAINSMATE – £1 IQ TEST TURNS INTO AN UNEXPECTED £39.99 CHARGE!**
Absolutely disgusting experience.
I completed an IQ test on BrainsMate and was asked to pay £1 to access my results. I was happy to pay that amount, believing it was a one-off payment.
A few days later, I discovered they had taken another £39.99 from my bank account.
I did not knowingly agree to an ongoing subscription or expect to be charged £39.99 for a service I had no intention of using.
This is an extremely misleading way to attract customers. People should not have to worry about being caught out by expensive recurring payments after being enticed by what appears to be a £1 IQ test.
Having now looked at other customer reviews, it is clear that I am not the only person experiencing this problem.
I want my £39.99 refunded and any subscription immediately cancelled.
**My advice: STAY AWAY. Read the reviews before handing over your card details. A £1 IQ test could end up costing you considerably more than you bargained for.**
There's currently over 200 one star reviews, going back well over a year, all saying the same.
Will they sort the problem, or continue ripping people off?
One star is more than this experience deserves.
