Installation Left Incomplete and System Unusable
The installation was scheduled for 9 June and the indoor and outdoor air conditioning units were installed yesterday. However, I was informed by the installers that an electrician would also attend to complete the electrical connection and commissioning.
Unfortunately, no electrician attended, and nobody contacted me regarding a new appointment. As a result, the system has not been connected to the power supply, has not been tested, and is currently unusable.
Because the electrician did not attend on the installation day, no commissioning tests were carried out and nobody was able to demonstrate how to operate the system. I am therefore left with an installed air conditioning system that cannot yet be used.
I would appreciate urgent clarification on when the electrical works, testing, commissioning and handover will be completed.
Fantastic service
Easy to order online, and upload photos of the existing heating system on the app. A very helpful engineer the phoned to query my choice of boiler as it was much bigger than my existing faulty boiler, and for my needs, he identified a more suitable boiler which was a big saving on the one I'd ordered. A refund was issued the next day, which was also installation day. My engineer arrived on time as confirmed in email and worked professionally and efficiently to replace my system in the day, leaving no mess. I'm absolutely delighted it was all completed so quickly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Ordering an air conditioning…
Ordering an air conditioning installation from BOXT couldn't have been simpler. An easy to use website to choose the required unit depending on the layout of your home and number of rooms required. On the day of install the components arrived by courier at 7am. Unfortunately the engineer was delayed but was still able to complete the installation on that day. The installer (Mike) was excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly, and worked tirelessly. The house was left without any mess or packaging. Carpet protection was used throughout.
Unfortunately the air conditioning could not be fully commissioned on that day as an electrician was not available. It took several more days for an electrician to finish the job, hence one star docked.
BOXT were very apologetic and made me a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. Overall I am very happy with the installation despite the delay in commissioning.
We had our new BOXT boiler fitted…
We had our new BOXT boiler fitted yesterday by Mark Blackburn, after ordering it only last week.
It wasn't the easiest job - awkward location, etc. Mark worked like a trojan and competed the installation with no fuss and no mess. He patiently showed me how to work everything, (I'm a bit of a technophobe). He explained everything clearly and left us with a shiny new boiler and hot running water - which we'd been without for a while. Massive thanks to Mark and BOXT for their incredible service.
